Chapter 16: Chapter 16

Luffy had been eagerly running around the village, having fun and looking for something to eat. His energy was endless, and despite Shanks' warnings, he had a tendency to stir up trouble wherever he went. This time, he had gotten into a fight with a group of local bandits who were notorious for causing problems in the area .

The Highwaymen, as they were called, were known for their aggressive attitude, stealing from anyone they came across, and making life difficult for the villagers. Luffy, never one to back down from a challenge, had refused to let them push him around.

"You better give me that meat, or you'll regret it!" Luffy shouted, standing his ground against the bandits, his face flushed with anger.

The leader of the bandits sneered. "You're just a kid! What makes you think you can boss us around, huh?" He cracked his knuckles, advancing toward Luffy.

Luffy, undeterred, threw a punch, but the bandits easily dodged it, surrounding him. He threw a few more wild punches, but the bandits were simply too strong for him. They quickly overpowered him, knocking him to the ground and tying him up.

"Looks like we got ourselves a little troublemaker," the bandit leader said, his voice dripping with malice. "Let's teach this kid a lesson."

Luffy struggled, but it was no use. He was bound tightly and left hanging from a nearby post. The bandits laughed, making fun of him as they continued to loot the area.

But just as the situation began to seem hopeless, a presence that sent a shiver down the spines of the bandits filled the air. The oppressive pressure was unmistakable.

Ace stepped into the village square, his gaze locked onto the bandits. His eyes burned with a cold fire, and the bandits froze, sensing the overwhelming power that radiated from him.

"Let him go," Ace's voice cut through the tension like a blade. It wasn't loud, but the authority in it was undeniable.

The bandit leader, realizing the danger, snarled. "And who the hell are you, huh?" he spat, trying to appear confident. "This is none of your business!"

Ace didn't answer with words. Instead, he stepped forward, and the air itself seemed to grow heavy, suffocating the bandits. The pressure was overwhelming, and the leader felt his legs start to shake as if an invisible force was bearing down on him.

With a single wave of his hand, Ace unleashed his Royal Haki, a tidal wave of willpower that struck the bandits like a hammer. The force of the Haki was so powerful that the bandits couldn't even react. They collapsed one by one, unable to stand against the crushing mental pressure.

Luffy, still hanging from the post, watched in awe as the bandits fell to the ground, unconscious. The leader, who had been the most defiant, crumpled to the ground, his body twitching in fear as he lost consciousness.

Ace walked toward Luffy, his flames swirling faintly around his body. With a flick of his wrist, he cut the ropes that bound Luffy, allowing him to drop to the ground.

"Are you okay?" Ace asked, looking down at his younger brother, a soft expression in his eyes.

Luffy, though still shaken from the earlier confrontation, grinned up at Ace. "That was amazing, Ace!" He jumped to his feet, his usual excitement returning. "You made them all fall down without even touching them!"

Ace gave him a small smile. "I didn't want to waste time with them. They were never a match for me."

Luffy's grin widened. "I want to be strong like you, Ace! You're so awesome!"

Ace ruffled Luffy's hair, his smile growing a bit warmer. "You'll get there. Just don't go picking fights with guys like that again, alright?"

Shanks, who had watched the scene unfold from a distance, chuckled. "You've got a powerful brother, Luffy. You should listen to him."

Luffy puffed out his chest, clearly proud of Ace's strength. "I will! Thanks, Ace!"

With the bandits taken care of, the village returned to its peaceful state. Ace's intervention had put an end to the threat, and the people in the village were left in awe of his power.

Later that night, Luffy, feeling frustrated and humiliated by the bandits' actions, foolishly charged at them, his youthful rage clouding his judgment. He attacked the bandits, but they overpowered him easily, and before long, Luffy was bound and hung from a pillar in the village square. His hands tied, his body bruised, and the bandits' cruel laughter filling the air.Luffy is in this group because of a previous conflict."A group of rowdy bandits entered the tavern looking for wine. But it ended up as Shanks tried to offer a bottle to their leader. The bandit leader, angered by the suggestion and seemingly provoked by Shanks' composed manner, took the bottle and smashed it over Shanks' head. The sound of glass shattering echoed through the room.

Luffy, watching in disbelief, could hardly comprehend what he was seeing. Shanks—his hero—was being treated this way by some strangers.

"Shanks!" Luffy called, his voice a mix of confusion and anger. "Aren't you going to fight back?!"

But Shanks simply smiled, unaffected by the broken bottle. "Don't worry, Luffy. It's just a little misunderstanding."

The bandit leader, seeing Shanks' lack of reaction, grew more furious and tried to push the situation further, but Shanks remained still. However, the tension was palpable. Shanks knew the situation was escalating, but instead of rushing into conflict, he kept his calm composure.

In the end Shanks saved him but he lost his hands because of the sea king.

When Ace heard about this, he attacked the bandits and killed them all, vowing not to leave an enemy behind.
