Chapter 12:
Chapter 12:
Mo Liusu’s expression was calm, and she remained silent, but her gaze occasionally drifted toward the sect’s gates, as though waiting for something.
“The people from the Joyous Harmony Sect have arrived!”
Someone’s shout immediately drew everyone’s attention, and Mo Liusu’s elegant eyes narrowed as she focused intently on the distance.
In the far horizon, a red glow unfurled like a magnificent tide, grand and boundless. Within that dazzling mist, two figures walked side by side in mid-air, gliding gracefully toward the gathering. They were none other than Zhou Tong and the little enchantress.
The sight left the crowd in awe.
The little enchantress, as always, was breathtakingly beautiful. Her appearance was flawless, devoid of excessive adornments or makeup. Dressed in a crimson gown, she stood against the wind like an ethereal goddess.
Yet even her stunning presence did not overshadow the youth beside her.
Zhou Tong had skin as fair as jade, with a noble and commanding bearing. His elegant demeanor carried a subtle but unshakable aura of majesty—one that exuded a quiet, undeniable dominance, compelling others to submit without words.
A collective gasp echoed among the spectators.
Many were silently shocked, for such an imposing aura could never belong to an ordinary youth. It was more akin to that of an invincible figure who had weathered countless trials and seen the vicissitudes of the world.
Even the young prodigies present felt stifled. During the last sect gathering, these two individuals had overshadowed everyone, making them feel utterly insignificant.
And now, these two extraordinary figures had joined forces…
Numerous cautious and envious glances followed the pair as they descended gracefully to the ground.
“What an entrance! Anyone who didn’t know better might think the two of you were the stars of the show!”
A sharp, mocking voice broke the silence, immediately stirring excitement among the crowd.
It was happening—the confrontation everyone had been waiting for!
Geh Hongqiu and Jiang Yuyao approached, sneering, their expressions filled with ridicule. Their gaze lingered on the little enchantress for a moment before locking onto Zhou Tong.
“You’re nothing but a traitor, yet you still have the audacity to show up? I thought you might actually have some backbone and wouldn’t dare return, even in death!”
“Senior Sister, you’re giving him too much credit. I’ve been saying all along that he’d come crawling back to beg within a month. See? I was right!”
The two women looked down on Zhou Tong with undisguised disdain.
“Today is the day our junior brother officially becomes the sect master’s direct disciple. If you dare to cause trouble, don’t blame us for beating you like a dog and throwing you down the mountain!”
The scene immediately became the center of attention, with countless curious and amused gazes fixed on them.
Everyone was eager to see what this once-peerless prodigy would do now.
On the high platform, Mo Liusu, Tang Qi, and Chen Ling’er observed the scene with cold eyes.
“Master, should we intervene? This kind of commotion is rather unsightly,” Chen Ling’er asked softly.
“There’s no need,” Mo Liusu replied, her tone indifferent. “This traitorous wretch deserves no mercy. Everything he’s facing now is his own doing.”
She remained seated, composed and unbothered. Mo Liusu understood Zhou Tong’s character well—he would never attend Tang Qi’s grand occasion without a reason. If he had come, it meant he had something to ask of the sect.
This time, she planned to thoroughly humiliate Zhou Tong.
“Two noisy, filthy mouths… How repulsive. Allow me to clean them up for you!”
The little enchantress, never one to tolerate provocation, stepped forward menacingly.
“Wait. Don’t act rashly!”
Zhou Tong moved quickly, grabbing her wrist to stop her.
Seeing this, the two women immediately broke into smug smiles.
As expected, Zhou Tong hadn’t changed. No matter how much he was humiliated, he wouldn’t dare show even a hint of resistance.
“Are you protecting them?”
The little enchantress asked in surprise.
“No,” Zhou Tong replied, shaking his head as he walked toward the two sneering women.
“Get on your knees before you speak!”
Geh Hongqiu sneered, convinced that Zhou Tong was here to grovel and that she could toy with him however she pleased.
Suddenly, Zhou Tong moved.
A loud slap echoed as his palm struck her face.
“Slap!”
