After Death She Got Transmigrated!!

Chapter 16: just a little bump

Adria stood emotionless, in the mirror, her face dull as it can be, and her hand holding onto a pair of scissors.

She hated everything, everyone, she hated even her own self.

Her hand raised, and she gripped her hair, she was about to cut it, but then slammed her hand back down on the sink, a loud strained gasp getting let out.

She couldn't do it… no matter how hard she tried.

Suddenly, Samantha knocked on the door, pealing it open, and leaning on it slightly.

"Is something not to your liking dear?" She asked.

"No, everything's fine." Adria reassured, and Samantha smiled.

"Dinner Is ready."

"Right." Adria gave her mother one last look over the shoulder, before facing the mirror back. "Just give me a minute, or two." Samantha once again nodded, closing the door and distancing herself away from it.

Adria could hear her footsteps fading, and a sigh escaped her lips.

What was she doing? Adria looked at her hand, and that night seemed to come back to her mind.

"Ugh!" She yelled, throwing most of the things down on the floor, as she found herself absolutely irritated.

She quickly took, a bar soap and sponge, scrubbing her hand multiple of times, until it nearly began pealing.

Her breathing rough, and huffed, and her hands trembling with anger.

She hated it, she hated it all.

Adria turned and opened the door.

"Mother, I'd like to talk with you." She held her voice high, making sure her mother could hear, while her hand packed up her hair, into a ponytail.

"What is it." Samantha smiled, and placed few foods down on the table, her eyes now examining Adria's body.

"My, you've gotten tin throughout this past years." She smiled again, but this time with her hands, on the head of the chair.

"Let's sit first." Her lips itched to smile, but it couldn't.

"alright." She sunk into the chair, and waited her words.

"I'd be going back to… Author's house, to get my things, when I do, I'd be going back to my house… would you like to come with?"

Samantha looked at her blankly, everything she said now processing.

"If that's what you want, then yes." Adria let's out a sigh, a smile now replaced with it.

"Good, I'm glad you accepted."

Samantha held her hands, but then, she felt the hardness of it, it felt… dry, but she didn't bother on making a comment.

Adria stared at herself intensely, her mind completely going blank for a second.

She clenched onto the scissor. Was she back to this? How annoying, Adria thought, and without thinking anymore, raised the pair of scissors, and slit her hair , down to the length of her backbone.

Having a long hair now disgusted her.

"Veronica…" Samantha knocked on the door, and Adria couldn't help but sigh, she knew she was going to blow a fuse when she saw her hair.

"I'm coming." She pulled the door open, and just like she had thought, Samantha looked at her with arched brows.

"Why?"

Adria softly smiled. "I wanted a new look perhaps."

Samantha shook her head a few times, before turning.

"Are you alright, mother?" Samantha nodded, and waved it off, reassuring her that nothing was wrong.

Adria stepped out of her the cab.

Unfortunately, that night, she had left nearly everything behind.

She exhaled, the gates sliding open, and in a matter of seconds, she let herself in.

Why did she feel so anxious?

The front door opened, and there, welcomed The maids.

Titi still seemed to be there, and so was the annoying made that eavesdropped on her.

"Welcome back, Young mistress, Adria." They all bowed.

But that name didn't belong to her anymore? We're they late to the news? Or Author haven't just told them yet.

Adria ignored them, and headed straight for her room, stopping half way on the steps when, inhaling a strong smell of alcohol.

She stopped. "Did any of you drink today?"

Titi looked up at her, and shook her head.

"Unfortunately, no." Adria narrowed her eyes, she glanced at Author's study room, but ignored it as well, turning and heading up the stairs.

The faster the better.

Author opened his study door, his eyes droopy with gloom, and the stench Adria had perceived coming off him.

He looked at Titi', and she bowed. "The young mistress, just came back." Titi' informed, and Author looked down, he felt annoyed, but at the same time needed to talk to her.

He slammed the rooms door shut, and began heading upstairs.

Who had she become? Was it because she lost her memories? No, Adria has been this way… forever.

The door swung open, and Adria jolted, turning around in a haste, and coming face to face, with Author.

"I didn't expect you to be home."

He scoffed. "I didn't expect you to be here."

"Why is it just now you're telling me this?"

Author cocked a brow. "Telling you what?"

"That I was the one behind your mother's death? Why didn't you just simply punish me?" Author suddenly began laughing, his steps now approaching her.

"Why didn't I… punish you? My Ex fiancé?" He hummed in thoughts. "Me doing that, would only count me the same as you…"

Adria squeezed her brows, and at the blank expression Author held, she knew his next words we're going to somehow sting.

"A monster."
