Chapter 561: 561. The True Form!!?
"I'm curious, how do you possess such terrifying energy?"
Sent flying backward, Alex drove his sword into the ground, sliding over a hundred meters before barely coming to a stop. He lifted his head and asked flatly.
"Well, we should thank the previous dimensional explosion. In this realm, we hadn't found this many magical dimensions for a long time, but after that explosion, numerous magical dimensions suddenly appeared nearby, like a feast delivered to our doorstep."
The Crown swung its heavy sword, stretching its neck with a series of bone-cracking sounds.
"So, we came uninvited. At first, it was a bit difficult. There were indeed some troublesome individuals in certain dimensions, but with the instability of the dimensional space, it wasn't too complicated to deal with them. After all, no matter how strong they are, they can't resist a mother's love for her child."
"So it was the explosion of the mirrored dimensions that attracted you," Alex scoffed, pulling the sword from the ice.
It was also the fault of Red Skull and the others for not considering things carefully. Those super criminals were focused solely on banishing magical dimensions as far as possible. They never thought that there would be such a group of "gluttons" at the edge of the vast dimensions.
Before Alex could think much further, the Crown pressed forward again, this time with even more intense and ferocious attacks.
The sound of continuous weapon clashes and massive explosions reverberated throughout the battlefield.
While blocking the Crown's heavy sword, Alex remained vigilant of the other two Mothers' potential sneak attacks, which sparked a hint of anger inside him.
"You're almost at your limit! I can feel your weakness, and your frail body. Do you think just defending will be enough to defeat me? You can barely hold onto your weapon!!"
The heavy sword came crashing down, infused with immense power, and slammed into the sword Alex was using to block. The immense force immediately shattered the ice beneath Alex's feet.
At the same time, the impact sent a violent tremor through Alex's entire body, as if a great bell had been struck, the massive shockwave reverberating through space, echoing throughout the dimension and spreading outward.
On the other side...
The three on the Hogwarts Express also felt the energy from this clash. The entire train vibrated, and the warning lights flickered wildly.
Franklin turned back in fear and could clearly see a massive stream of light in the distant sky, resembling the Northern Lights.
But Franklin knew this wasn't the Northern Lights.
Unlike the optical phenomena created by magnetic fields and solar ions, the light was the result of a brutal clash of energies, creating a spatial diffusion.
The glowing waves, like the ocean's tides, each one a ripple of energy, tore through the Asgardian barrier and spread toward other dimensions.
"My God... Is this the power of Mr. Alex? After this battle, several surrounding dimensions are probably going to be severely affected," said the Brainstorm, staring at his flickering tablet in disbelief.
"Instead of worrying about other dimensions, we should think about how to handle the situation we're in. Besides, with those three Mothers around, how many living beings do you think there are left in the nearby dimensions?"
Shazam roughly yanked open the train door, stepping aside to let the Brainstorm and the two younger kids onto the train first.
The Brainstorm knew the situation was critical. He quickly ran onto the train, and once at the driver's seat, began trying to start the Hogwarts Express. But Franklin didn't get on the train. He stood silently, clenching his fists.
Seeing his state, Shazam anxiously urged, "What are you standing there for? Hurry up and get on the train! We'll leave this dimension and find a safe place first!"
Franklin paused for a moment, then turned to look in the direction of Alex's battle, gritting his teeth as he spoke.
"No. I can't leave Alex there alone. It's too dangerous. Those three are after me. Even if it's a fight, I should be the one to go."
"Oh my God, little ancestor, stop messing around! I know the energy in your body is beyond the level of divine power, but what can you do in your current state? Don't even think about fighting. You'll only make things worse!" Shazam said in a deep voice.
"But I can't just leave Alex to face those three monsters alone. Even Odin and other dimension lords couldn't stop them..." Franklin frowned deeply.
"Alright, alright, I understand. Just get on the train, okay? Even if there's a fight, you're not going. I'll stay behind."
"What did you say?" Franklin was startled, suddenly looking up at Shazam's injured shoulder. "You can't go! You're already injured."
"There are only a few days left until my eighteenth birthday. Even though these dimensions don't have the concept of time, I guess I'm already an adult, even here in the wasteland."
Shazam placed both hands on Franklin's shoulders, nodding seriously.
"Trust me, alright, Franklin?"
Though young and familiar with the wasteland, Franklin had no knowledge of the events occurring in the Apokolips War Universe.
Luthor and Batman had kept most of the situation in their universe hidden, and those civilians Alex had brought over were unwilling to reopen old scars.
In the Wasteland Universe, many are unaware of the events surrounding the Apokolips War Universe, including the Brainstorm and the Focused Mind, who are two of them.
Franklin didn't know what Shazam had gone through. He just felt that the look in his eyes at that moment left him unsure of how to respond.
At that moment, the Brainstorm in the driver's seat spoke up.
"The engine is successfully started, we can depart at any time."
Hearing this, Shazam immediately grabbed Franklin, not allowing for any protest, and placed him inside the train. Then, he turned to the Brainstorm, commanding him.
"Now that Alex isn't here, I'm in charge. Follow my orders and leave this dimension immediately. I'll go back to help Alex, and I'll contact you after it's over."
"But..." As Franklin stepped forward, the train door was slammed shut by Shazam, and he could only watch through the window as Shazam made his move.
"There are no buts. That's settled!" Shazam didn't waste any more time. He didn't give Franklin a chance to respond, and in an instant, he soared into the air, racing toward the battlefield.
Watching Shazam leave, Franklin leaned against the window, his face filled with unwillingness.
"Stop thinking about it. Just listen to the senior's advice. Without you, it will be difficult for this train to move through the spatial turbulence," Valeria glanced at her brother and said.
"Val, Mr. Alex and Billy are fighting desperately against the enemy. Are we really just going to run away?!" Franklin turned his head.
"Then what? I don't have combat ability, and you saw the result of your encounter with them. If it weren't for Mr. Alex, we would already be dead," Valeria said calmly.
Although her sister spoke the truth, Franklin still found it hard to accept. "How can you be so calm at a time like this? What if they get into danger?"
"Because every team needs someone who can stay calm and analyze in any situation. If you really want to help, then listen to Mr. Alex," Valeria said, a slight smile curling on her lips.
"Besides, rather than worrying about Mr. Alex, I'm more concerned about what's going to happen to those three…"
Back on the battlefield, as Shazam soared over a massive glacier, he was stunned by what he saw, stopping in his tracks.
At the edge of Asgard's divine realm, a giant creature more than thirty meters tall was roaring and unleashing a terrifying, indiscriminate assault.
It was a terrifying being with three heads. The central head was a pale angelic figure, resembling lamb's fat, and topped with a sacred halo. However, the figure was split down the middle, one side smiling while the other wept.
On either side of this angel's head were two demonic heads emitting a sinister aura. Though the identity of the strange angel was unclear, Shazam immediately recognized the other two demonic heads—Seven Deadly Sins and Sabbac!
These were old foes of Billy, ones he encountered after inheriting Shazam's power. Whether it was the Seven Deadly Sins or Sabbac, both possessed battle prowess that was just as strong as his own.
What's worse, the sight before him already made Shazam feel the ominous energy from afar, causing him to feel dizzy.
The giant monster had a molten six-pointed star symbol on its chest, with a Supreme Sanctum insignia on its back.
Its hands were covered in barbed spikes and unnatural protrusions. Behind it was a pair of deformed, pitch-black wings, and its lower body was not legs, but thousands of viscous tentacles, like an octopus, creating an uncomfortable, overwhelming sight.
Before, the view had been obscured by the iceberg, so Shazam and Franklin hadn't seen this scene. Now, standing on the battlefield, Shazam was completely stunned.
"I didn't expect the true form of the three Mothers to be this powerful."
Looking at the grotesque creature seemingly stitched together from various strange entities, Shazam couldn't help but click his tongue.
The oppressive force this creature exerted was much stronger than Darkseid's, even comparable to a group of Paradoom rushing toward him. Shazam clenched his fists, his gaze urgently scanning the area, trying to locate Alex.
He just wanted to find Alex and confirm his safety.
His eyes scanned the area around the enormous creature, and the cold sweat on Shazam's forehead was increasing.
Just as his patience was about to run out, a tiny figure compared to the massive creature finally entered his line of sight.
He saw the Crown wielding a giant sword, continually swinging it, with tremendous power cutting through several thick tentacles. But before the Crown could take another action, the solid ice beneath it suddenly cracked.
With a sharp explosion, one of the tentacles shot up from the ice, viciously knocking the Crown away.
On the other side, the other two Mothers, the Wyrd and the Crawling, also displayed their powers, desperately attempting to counterattack the terrifying being. However, their magical energy and lasers caused no significant damage. They were quickly swatted away by the massive hand of the creature.
Watching the Mothers rise and continue charging at the monster, Shazam instinctively covered his mouth.
"Wait! This creature is—???"
