Chapter 6: Chapter 5
"Sir?"
William detailed the beautiful woman's appearance with a clinical concentration. Her long platinum-white hair and heterochromia eyes were so striking that the alpha knew that if they met face to face, he could get lost in them if he wasn't careful.
"Sir?"
The mysterious interpreter's soft and delicate features made her stand out as an omega. Her tight dress, which highlighted her carmine-colored curves with bare shoulders, seemed to invite attention, along with her black high-heeled shoes.
"Sir?"
The third call was from what seemed to be one of the waiters of the place, who appeared next to his table and interrupted his trance, placing a freshly opened bottle of Everclear 190 along with three glasses and a small ice bucket full of ice in front of him, finally makes the Aballay react, who took several moments to remember how to breathe.
"Good afternoon Mr. Aballay" -he would say with a smile- "Is there anything else I can do for you?"
"What is your name?" -the black-haired man asks the waiter, not taking his eyes off the singer, enjoying her dangerously distracting presence, desperately needing information, wanting to give a name to such a dazzling omega-
In the face of the silence that formed after his question, the alpha glanced sideways at the waiter, who seemed shocked for a moment without being able to answer. He was clearly not used to talking about what seemed to be the main artist of the speakeasy.
"The singer who stands on stage and draws the attention of this establishment without anyone's support or help" -he would now say a little annoyed at how surprised he seemed by his question- "(is it so surprising that such an omega draws my attention?… Is everyone who comes and works here blind or has such bad taste as not to notice such beauty?)" -William would take the bottle of Everclear to pour himself a drink, needing to take a sip in an attempt to calm his mind-
"Hey, the lady's name is Erika Belion, she's the lead singer of the band Creed Sailys" -you could practically taste the waiter's nervousness-
"Erika Belion" -the alpha repeated, testing how the name sounded in his mouth, feeling something in his being causing him to purr- "is she a regular performer here?"
"She usually comes every Friday, but she comes once in a while during the week"
"Do you know her?" -the question would come out with a much more dangerous tone than the black-haired man would have liked to use-
"Everyone around here knows Erika!!" -he would exclaim while taking a step back- "I mean… she's a very nice woman who draws a lot of attention even though she repeatedly rejects any invitation"
"I see… but do you know her personally? -the question would cause him to shrug his shoulders losing the little ability to maintain eye contact with the one he had looking like he was about to run away- "Get out of here... you're of no use to me in any way"
With a gesture, William decides to dismiss the waiter, not seeing any use for him now that he's in an uncertain state due to being slightly exposed to his most intense side, or worker, as his subordinates describe it.
Crossing his arms he decided to refocus all his attention on Erika ignoring his companions who sat at his sides with Bentral serving drinks to the 3 of them.
After all, letting himself be distracted by the incredibly attractive random artist right in front of him is much better than concentrating on business that doesn't matter to him in the least and which he only attended out of obligation.
The Aballay allowed himself to sit back and simply let himself be carried away by this event and wait for the ideal moment to be able to introduce himself to the omega.
The alpha never understood his relatives' almost extreme obsession with the artists, but as he watches the white-haired omega, he thinks that maybe he's starting to understand them.
Seeing such a woman on stage, despite practically not moving, with the spotlights pointing at her highlighting her body and her small smile being so exuberant that they seem to take over the entire establishment.
It's amazing how she can capture all the attention almost without trying or wanting it. Causing something in William's stomach to turn in a way that could easily become addictive if he allowed it.
But then the melody suddenly stopped and an intense peach smell shook the place differently.
It was as if a bucket of cold water was thrown on his back leaving him momentarily shocked until the insults began to sound.
"Tonight we have something special!!"
"Yeah, let's talk about dinner and a show."
"I bet the bitch is in heat!"
"Is she crying? What an adorable puppy!"
"That's puppy!!... don't hold back any sobs, use them all for the show!!"
"I could train you so well, puppy... you're such a pretty puppy!!"
The crowd cheered ecstatically, throwing out their insults, and comments, or just laughing. Causing the alpha to get more and more tense as he got angrier at every word he heard.
However, what made him explode was how the omega on the stage lowered her gaze and shrank into herself, clearly mortified.
The glass William was holding cracked in half and then broke, spilling all the alcohol it contained onto the table. But that wasn't what caused everyone to fall silent.
Rather, it was the pheromones full of authority that the black-haired man suddenly released, filling the air and replacing the pheromones the omega left behind with his own. Making his discontent clear to those present, who upon looking for the person responsible for this would turn pale, lowering their gaze in a sign of submission when they realized who it was.
William would simply wipe the remains of glass from his hand and then calmly leave a few dollars from his wallet on the table.
Once he left a fair amount of money, he stood up, readjusted the sleeves of his trench coat and took the bottle of Everclear before leaving the place at a leisurely pace, closely followed by Xander and Bentral.
