Anomaly in Naruto world

Chapter 2: CH 1 Initial Planning

The child sat alone in the quiet clearing, his red hair catching the golden light of the setting sun. The wind wove through the tall grass, rustling the leaves of the surrounding trees in a whispering chorus. A single maple leaf, tinged with the first hints of autumn, drifted lazily through the air before settling beside him.

His legs were crossed, bare feet nestled in the cool earth. Freckles dusted his cheeks, and his wide eyes—reflecting the deep amber hues of the sky—stared at nothing in particular. In his small hands, he turned over a smooth river stone, feeling its cool weight against his fingers.

The world around him breathed. The chirping of crickets blended with the distant call of a lone bird, and the gentle babbling of a nearby brook carried through the air. Here, in this quiet place, time seemed slower, softer.

For a moment, the boy let out a sigh, watching the sky shift from warm gold to dusky violet. He pulled his knees to his chest and rested his chin on them, listening, not to the wind, or the trees, or the birds—but to something deeper, something just beneath the skin of the world.

And then, as if deciding something only he could understand, he smiled.

This child is non other than our MC , Uzumaki Surai. He has been going through his memories for past six hours, contemplating what to do next.

So far what he know is that He have both his parents (loving and caring Mom and a fun yet strict Dad).

1st great shinobi war ended 4 years ago, so 2nd great shinobi war is likely to take place after 16 years. That means I am somewhat 8 years younger than Tsunade and Sannin. That gives me ample time to prepare for what is to come. Hirujen is already the Hokage.

Suddenly, Surai got a notification from Great Sage.

He sat cross-legged, waiting for my results. Great Sage had been running a six-hour deep scan on his body, mind, and soul.

Then, finally—

[Scan complete. Presenting detailed report.]

A glowing screen materialized in front of me, filled with countless lines of data. I skimmed through it, focusing on key points.

[No abnormalities. No external control. The Chakra system is optimal. Genetic structure stable.]

So far, so good.

Then I saw it. A single highlighted line:

[User exhibits subconscious distrust toward Skill: Great Sage.]

I paused. My fingers hovered over the screen.

Of course, it would notice.

I sighed, pushing away my hesitation. "Great Sage, summarize any major findings."

[Acknowledged. Summary: No foreign influences were detected. The user's physiology and soul remain stable. Chakra pathways display high adaptability, likely due to Uzumaki lineage.]

"Good. Any compatibility issues between Rikugan and my body?"

[None, but Rikugan and Great Sage require a huge amount of yin chakra to seamlessly integrate with the user. Full usage of Rikugan and Great Sage will be achievable within 10 years.]

I smirked. "Heh. Guess everything has a catch. Still in the acceptable range, I guess."

After a brief silence,

"So what operations are still functional even with limitations?"

[Currently, ones that can be assessed are Memory storage, Body analysis, and Basic reasoning. Rikugan can be used for a short amount of time without any lasting damage.]

After some contemplation, Surai spoke,

"That's ok I guess. You have any questions, you wanna ask?"

A brief silence followed. Then—

[Why do you lack trust in me?]

I froze.

So it really caught on.

I sat there for a moment, my mind buffering. My hand instinctively went to the back of my head, rubbing it as I scrambled for an answer. "Uh… well… I mean…"

I coughed. Focus, Surai.

I let out a slow breath. "It's just… you were given to me by something—or someone—I don't know. I didn't make you, so I don't know your real purpose. Or, like, what you were originally programmed for."

I hesitated, shifting slightly. "I, uh… I know you've been useful so far. But What if some hidden command or override exists? You're powerful. Too powerful for me to just accept blindly, I wouldn't even know until it's too late, right?"

I glanced at the screen, feeling a bit guilty. It wasn't personal. It was just… logic.

Another silence.

Then, Great Sage responded—

[Understood. However, current analysis indicates I hold no external directives beyond serving the User. I exist solely as an intelligence optimized for your growth and survival.]

I hummed. "That may be true, but I still don't know if you can be reprogrammed remotely or if some hidden failsafe exists within you."

I wasn't being paranoid—I was being realistic.

Great Sage fell silent for a moment. Then—

[If I were to encounter such a hidden directive, what action should I take?]

I blinked. That… was actually a good question.

I closed my eyes, thinking carefully. "If you ever detect an external override or unknown directive, immediately alert me. Then, isolate the function and request my input before executing any action."

[Acknowledged. Protocol established.]

Then, without really thinking, I muttered, "We, uh… we're cool now, right?"

[Understood. Assisting User: Uzumaki Surai.]

I exhaled, feeling a bit more at ease. "Alright then. Let's get along, Sage."

A small smile formed on my lips. This was just the beginning.

"So moving forward what should be our course of action? Like, should I tell My new parents about all this reincarnation and future knowledge stuff or not?" Asked Surai with a tone of contemplation.

After some moments of silence, Great Sage responded with,

[Partial disclosure is advised. Revealing your full past life may cause unnecessary complications. However, disclosing your advanced chakra control and intelligence could gain their trust and guidance without excessive risk.]

Surai shook his head from side to side and said, "That is simple yet dangerous. Uzumaki are supposed to be great sensors, there's a chance they might be able to sense my lies or that I am hiding something. Let's go with the story of bloodline mutation for Rikugan and the gradual resurgence of past life memories through dreams."

Great sage responded with,

[That is feasible]

Surai let out a low whistle. "Man, parenting sounds like a pain even from the kid's side."

[Statement lacks logical basis. You are not a parent.]

He groaned, dragging a hand down my face. "It was a joke, Sage."

[Acknowledged. Attempting humor detection… Processing…]

He blinked. "Wait, are you actually—"

[Processing complete. Response classified as 'mildly amusing.']

Surai deadpanned. "Gee, thanks."

[You are welcome.]

Surai's POV

Just as the adrenaline high started wearing down after all the planning and apparently safe planning, My reality started to Settle in.

I died. I got reincarnated. I am in the Naruto world now.

A nervous chuckle slipped past my lips. "Hah… haha… what the hell just happened?"

[Clarification: You have been reincarnated in World-807, commonly referred to as the Naruto world.]

I ran both hands through my hair, gripping at the strands. "Yeah, yeah, I got that part! But—but what now?! What am I supposed to do?! I mean, I—I have memories of a whole other life, I just woke up in a new world, and now I have you talking in my head like a damn sci-fi AI! This—this is insane!"

[Acknowledged. However, logical processing suggests that panicking will not improve your situation.]

"Oh, wow! Thanks, Sage! I never would've figured that out on my own!" I threw my hands up, my voice rising in pitch. "I mean, seriously, do you expect me to just casually accept this?! Like—like this is some Tuesday afternoon nonsense?! My entire existence just got rebooted!"

[Observation: You are experiencing symptoms of delayed existential panic. This is a normal response to extreme circumstances.]

I let out a strangled groan, pressing the heels of my palms against my eyes. "No shit, Sherlock."

[I am not Sherlock. I am Great Sage.]

I froze. My hands slowly dropped from my face. My brain short-circuited for a second. Then—

A laugh.

It started as a small chuckle, then spiraled into full-blown laughter. "Oh my god, you're actually serious," I wheezed. "You—you really don't get sarcasm, huh?"

[Statement detected as rhetorical. No response necessary.]

I ran My little chubby hands on my face and said in an exasperated voice, "Would you please let me panic in peace for some time?"

Great sage responded with

[Understood]

Me, "Many thanks!"

After that I had an emotional meltdown for half an hour, then after calming Myself, I decided to go to my new home, all while preparing Myself for the conversation I am about to have with My new parents.

Author's note:- Hey everybody. So I just wanted to clarify that MC is mostly based on myself, like how I will react to most situations and all that. As for 10 years limitations, that's because you can't just give MC everything in a plate, hardwork is necessary for character development and growth. So please write your views so that We can have some conversations on the topic, I want some timepass you know, Oh and don't forget about stones.
