Chapter 58: Chapter 56: Looking for Another Employee

After the twins finished their lesson on making video game music, they quickly returned to their task of assembling ZEPS. One day passed, and they diligently worked and continued learning their roles. Meanwhile, Zaboru sat at his desk, rubbing his temples as he stared at the ceiling.

"How am I supposed to find employees to handle ZAGE's finances and a sales manager to promote our products? I don't have any connections," he muttered to himself.

After a moment, he turned to Yugo and Yuna. "Hey, do you guys have any family or friends who could manage company finances or help promote ZAGE products?"

Yugo and Yuna exchanged glances before shaking their heads. "Unfortunately, we don't know anyone like that, boss," Yuna admitted, and Yugo nodded in agreement.

Zaboru sighed in frustration. "I see… Well, that's a problem."

Just then, the phone on his desk rang. He quickly picked it up. "Hello, Zaboru speaking."

The familiar voice of his father, Zanichi, came through the line. "Hey there, son. How's your company recruitment going?"

Zaboru leaned back in his chair. "Well, I've got two employees helping with ZEPS assembly, and they'll eventually assist in making video games. But I still need two crucial people—one for finance and another for marketing to get our products into stores."

"Perfect," Zanichi said. "I have an ideal candidate for your finance department. Her name is Sayuri Yamaoka. She was my colleague at Sonaya. She's exceptionally skilled, but two months ago, she got fired."

Zaboru raised an eyebrow. "Fired? Why?"

Zanichi's voice grew serious. "Her boss framed her for stealing money. In reality, she was just refusing to… please him. That scumbag ruined her reputation, and now no company will hire her. But let me tell you, Sayuri is competent. If you can convince her to work for you, she'll be a tremendous asset. However…"

Zaboru frowned. "However?"

"She's become extremely wary of men. After what happened, she doesn't trust easily. So you'll need to prove yourself before she agrees to work for you. She won't settle for a vague offer. She'll ask a lot of questions."

Zaboru nodded. "Got it. I'll at least interview her."

"Good. I already gave her your company address. She'll come by soon. Just make sure you're prepared," Zanichi warned. "Oh, and as for your sales manager, I had someone in mind, but he turned down the offer. He's unsure about video games as a business."

"I see… Well, one step at a time. Thanks, Dad. I'll handle it."

"Good luck, son. You'll need it."

With that, the call ended, and Zaboru exhaled deeply. He glanced at Yugo and Yuna, who had been listening.

"Sounds like she's going to be a tough one to convince," Yugo said, folding his arms.

"Yeah," Yuna agreed. "But if she's as good as your dad says, it's worth the effort."

Zaboru smirked. "Exactly. Now, let's get back to work. I need to prepare for this interview." Zaboru then began to tidying up the places with help of Yugo and Yuna

An hour later, a woman arrived at the ZAGE office. She wore a sharp business suit, her black hair neatly tied back. She carried herself with confidence, but her eyes held a guarded look. As she stepped inside, her gaze swept the room, taking in everything with a calculating sharpness.

Zaboru stood up to greet her, offering a polite nod. "You must be Sayuri Yamaoka. I'm Zaboru Renkonan. Thank you for coming."

Sayuri's expression remained unreadable as she stepped forward. "So you are Zanichi Renkonan son ? Let's get one thing clear, Mr. Zaboru Renkonan. I'm not interested in wasting my time. If you're serious about hiring me, I expect full transparency about your company's financial situation, your plans, and most importantly, your policies on employee treatment."

Zaboru chuckled. "Straight to the point. I respect that. Please, have a seat. Let's talk."

The interview had begun.
