Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes

Chapter 1: Going Back

The end of empires, technology, and even modern life had come. Only a few years before, the Globe Hero Academy had trained wizards, aura users, and superior warriors, but it had now become a gateway for demons and angels to enter the world.

It was a shame.

The human race, which had always oppressed other races and had taken racism to the extreme, had officially given the world as a battlefield to the demons and angels who promised them comfort.

Not everyone was the same. Of course, it would not be possible to see every human being as a racist against all other races. After all, many of them had fought together to save other races in the war between heaven and hell.

He had seen it all. He had seen the wrongdoings, the worshippers of evil and demons that existed in the best hero academy in the world. He had managed to analyse every one of them.

He had served for six years in the hottest part of the war and his body was covered with wounds. His eyes had become blind from pain and his sense of touch had become inoperable from abrasion.

He had received the blessings of even the most powerful gods and goddesses, but despite all this, he had become a human being who had failed to save everyone. Perhaps he was one of the weakest students, but he managed to become the strongest hero.

Despite all this, he died.

The reason for his death was neither the other races nor the soldiers of heaven and hell he fought. It was the human race itself that had betrayed him.

They had killed the woman he loved, they had killed his sister and his best friends, and despite all this, he had always thought of humanity as a human hero, he needed to save them.

He couldn't have been more stupid.

And yet, before he died, he looked up at the blood-red sky, looked up at the stars still visible in the distance, and made an oath to the gods and goddesses watching him.

"I am done protecting the human race...I am done fighting for something that destroyed me. If I see the light once more I will fight for anything but the human race. I promise, I swear."

Surrounding him were perhaps more than three thousand corpses of demons and angels, he and all those he cared about were the victims of the war of angels and demons who had succeeded in sealing off their masters who were recognised as high gods and goddesses, such as Archangel Michael and Fallen Angel Lucifer.

He was a hero, he had fulfilled his duty, and the thousands of demon and angel corpses around him showed it, but he was not enough, it was too late to improve...

After he had taken the oath, his eyes were completely closed, his last breath evaporated in the cold air, rose into the sky and disappeared.

He died on the spot.

Yet his spirit was not extinguished. Even if he did not realise it, the words he had just spoken had attracted the attention of the goddess who had been following him all along. The goddess had been watching him for so long that she had literally suffered what this man had suffered.

This made her want to give him one last chance. The goddess would trust him one last time.

This goddess had gone directly to one of her close friends with his spirit, time itself, standing before Chronos and asking for help.

Chronos shuddered inwardly when he saw who the soul belonged to. The young man's soul had so many cracks that it looked like it could break at any moment. As if he stands against the worst kinds of tortures...

At the words of the goddess, Chronos said that he could turn back time on one condition.

[Everyone and everything would forget who he was. He has to start all over again. He will forget everything including us.]

The Goddess had accepted the offer outright, if they had a chance, if they could give this hero another chance to save everything, it was certainly worth it. Even these two towering figures knew that they had to put all their trust in the young man.

He had fought for a very long time, the number of people he had saved was inconceivable, millions, almost billions if he succeeded.

Chronos had told to the goddess that he would help the young man as much as he could and had comforted the goddess.

The cracks in the soul were slowly being cleaned. Chronos had already turned back time, not even looking at the entire universe and even the creator, Chaos himself.

And with that, the young man suddenly opened his eyes again.

His body was drenched in sweat, he immediately realised that he was lying on his bed. His head ached enormously. It was clear that he did not fully understand what had happened. Only a few seconds ago he had died under the blood-red sky.

He was literally drenched in sweat, his entire bed was soaked, and he knew exactly where the image around him belonged. He was in the Epsilon Empire, the most secure and glamorous empire in the modern world.

[So-called modern world, full of technology yet full of death.]

His heart was pounding and the adrenaline in his body put him in a strange state.

This young boy's name was Atlas, he had black hair and dark blue eyes that shifted to purple, he was a little skinny but beautiful enough to be seen as a woman. He was exactly 14 years old.

He stood up, he could see that he was back in his childhood room. He had to find out what the date was.

He immediately reached for the calendar on his right-hand side, opened the page of the calendar directly, and stood there with his eyes wide open at the date he saw.

[20 June 2025]

Today was Atlas's birthday, the day he would turn 15 years old and be accepted at a level where he would have the legal right to fight and live on his own.

Exactly one year from today, when he turned 16, he would be eligible to attend the Globe, the Superhero Academy.

"I'm really back...How?" Atlas questioned inwardly, not having any answers. However, despite all this, there was only one truth he knew, and that was that he would take his revenge, he was sick and tired of humanity, of course not all people were guilty, but now he had enough.

He was going to start from the academy. The cleaning was necessary.

Yet the fact that he could be in a dream was already driving him crazy, maybe everything he had ever experienced was a dream, or maybe the reality he was now experiencing was a dream.

Either way, it was impossible not to be paranoid.

Out of nowhere, he heard voices coming from outside his room, light footsteps that instantly told him who was home.

Atlas lived in the snowy north of the Epsilon Empire with his sister, his only family.

The Epsilon Empire was one of the least racist countries, with no slavery, and no discrimination, but that didn't mean that there was no racism. It was well-known how people tried to dominate other races because of the concept of magical racism.

The emperor of this empire, Aether, was someone who opposed all these views. Even the nobles of the empire were on the same page.

It was the safest place in the modern world.

All the things he had seen before going back to the past came back to his mind one by one, of course, he knew that there were many people he had to save.

Immediately he left his room and walked towards his sister. Even though he was incredibly sweaty, when he saw his sister, he hugged her.

His sister's name was Eva and she was a very powerful aura user. Eva was so powerful that she served as the emperor's personal bodyguard, it would be fair to say that she was the most powerful person that was close to the imperial family.

As the bodyguard of the emperor of the most powerful empire in the world, Eva's value was understandable.

She was such a valuable woman that she was even allowed to act as the emperor's voice, her words allowing her to give orders at certain times even to members of the imperial family.

Eva was able to achieve all this even though she was not a noble.

That's why Atlas hated himself so much, he wasn't even an insect compared to his sister, he remembered the first time he went to the academy in his life before he returned to the past and was tested, he didn't even make it to the first level of a magician, the lowest level.

He was a disgrace.

He didn't even want to remember how humiliated his sister had been because of him.

Still, that was no longer something that should apply, the techniques he remembered from his previous life, knowing the location of treasures that no one else knew about and how to attract the attention of the gods and goddesses could make him stand out.

"You haven't hugged me in a long time, even though I'm glad you did, you're so sweaty, sweet brother," Eva suddenly complained.

Atlas, who had stopped hugging with his sister's words, shook his head and then distracted the subject by saying, "It's just a nightmare."

Immediately after that, he took a quick shower and then went back to his room. He didn't even have time to stay near his big sister to talk with her after a really long time.

He had to make a plan, he knew that his sister would be back at the palace in a week and would be there for at least three months.

In that time he would have to leave the house and maybe try to clear a few dungeons. Atlas was not poor, and with the amount of gold and silver he now had, he could buy at least a few dozen potions.

He had to attract the attention of the gods or goddesses as soon as possible, even the support of one of them could change his life.

Still, apart from all these possibilities, what he really needed to do now was to wander the north for three months and collect all the treasures whose locations he could remember. But before that, he had another idea.

He had to prepare as much as he could before travelling to the Globe, which had been training at least 40% of the world's heroes for tens of thousands of years.
