Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes

Chapter 15: Going Back

It had been almost three months since Atlas went treasure hunting. Or, more accurately, two months and twenty-eight days.

He had two more days to stay out.

There was no accounting for the treasures he had seized. He was tired and exhausted, but every single thing he had done, every single step he had taken, and every single monster he had killed in the process had been absolutely worth his time.

At last, he was in the carriage that would take him home, and indeed it would be fair to say that he was almost home.

He had been on the road for almost three days, and even though he was constantly trying to keep himself calm, he couldn't help smiling from time to time. He wasn't even sure if there was a way to describe the value of the treasures he saw when he looked at his inventory right now.

His inventory contained incredibly powerful treasures that would fill almost nine pages and could buy countries if they had to be priced. The Sage's Diary alone was enough to make one of the magical empires of the southern continent his enemy.

There were millions who would spend their lives to get their hands on this diary.

He had managed to obtain robes that he could use in the future, mighty swords, staffs used by master mages, and many more.

He had managed to collect every single treasure in the northern region of the empire.

"We are almost there, young master, I hope the journey was not too difficult," the driver of the carriage suddenly said.

Atlas smiled when he heard these words and then replied "Not at all, in fact, I had a very pleasant journey." Atlas then took out another pouch of gold from his inventory and handed it to the driver.

The driver smiled and then said, "Young master, I have already taken over six hundred gold coins from you, any more would be greedy."

Atlas smiled. This driver had been accompanying Atlas for almost two months.

With an advance payment and an agreement, Atlas convinced this carriage owner, and the driver, and their journey was almost over.

He took out another bag of gold from his inventory because he had too much gold in his hands at the moment and then said, "Here, I have kept you far away from your family. You said you were going to buy a house, I advise you to move to the city of Ilanos. Even if you are not a noble, the land is cheap, and the lord is really kind-hearted."

The driver smiled and then accepted the money. With that, the carriage stopped. When Atlas stuck his head out of the carriage, he saw that his house was right in front of him.

However, he encountered a sight he had never expected. Eva was waiting right in front of the house, incredibly angry.

"Well...I am dead." thought Atlas and after saying goodbye to the driver, he followed his sister into the house.

Eva suddenly hugged Atlas. However, just when Atlas was going to be happy that he was missed, suddenly all his bones cracked.

Eva was hugging him very tightly.

"I'm very angry this time, Atlas," Eva said.

Atlas, on the other hand, seemed unable to stand against his sister despite the Diamond Body ability of his bones at that moment. Although his sister was one of the few Aura-Masters in the world, it was still strange. It shouldn't hurt this much right?

Perhaps it was the power of love.

"Sis...please let me explain..." Atlas said with difficulty. He really started to feel short of breath.

When Eva left him, her angry expression seemed to become even more pronounced.

After taking a deep breath, Atlas said, "Well, I left home after you left because I wanted to prepare myself for the academy, so I left home for a while. Before you get mad at me, I'd like to remind you that you've done this before."

Atlas was only 3 years old when his older sister had gone to the academy before, and a few months before that Eva had spent almost two months training herself.

Eva was a genius, one of only 11 Aura Masters in the world. She was a ninth-grade aura master, which was why Atlas was safe even when he was home alone. In short, no maniac would want to interfere with the younger brother of such a woman.

Still, Atlas didn't know why his sister had never achieved noble rank, so they could both be much safer.

"On top of that, I even managed to get into a dungeon during that time," Atlas said, and then paused before muttering, "I'm an idiot."

The reason he said this was the surprised look of his sister.

"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!?! YOU DARED TO ENTER A DUNGEON WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE ONE MAGIC RING!!!" shouted Eva suddenly.

This left Atlas with only one way out.

Atlas made a gesture as if reaching into his magic bag and pulled a book out of his inventory and said, "We need to talk..."

Eva paused as she looked at the tattered book and was worried that her little brother had suddenly turned serious after all his apologetic words.

"Go get cleaned up and then we'll talk," Eva said suddenly.

Atlas, on the other hand, had returned to the living room after removing a month's worth of grime in the bathroom and then realised that his sister had brewed tea.

"Sit down," Eva said in a very authoritative voice. It was as if Eva was saying these words to a soldier, not to her little brother.

Atlas sat down in an armchair and then, after taking a sip of tea from his cup, he uttered the following words:

"Sis...on this journey I learnt that my body is sensitive to both magic and aura."
