Chapter 6: Preparations
Eva suddenly entered the room with a sword in her hand, her eyes locked directly on Atlas.
"Holy Nemesis...what the hell happened here?" Eva suddenly muttered, the concern on her face incredibly evident.
Her sister was indeed filled with fear, but also with anxiety and shock. She thought that she had failed to protect her little brother when he was in the other room.
After all, Eva was quite powerful and of course she had enemies.
When Atlas saw his sister's expression, he shook his head and said, "I was just training," while his entire body was covered in a black liquid and blood.
After these words, Eva approached her little brother as if she didn't understand and then gave him a big hug despite all the dirt and blood on him.
"I was so scared that something had happened to you..." Eva said suddenly and then added, "I smelled blood the moment I woke up...next time you should let me know."
It was indeed a sign of pure love and affection. Atlas was so happy that there was no way to describe it accurately. He wanted to quit his job and spend every single day of his life with his sister and take with him every single person he had lost in his previous life.
Of course, the reality was much more 'realistic'.
Atlas didn't know what to say, after a long time he had managed to regain his sister's pure love.
His sister had died exactly six years after he joined the Globe, that is, very shortly after he turned 21. This, of course, placed a great burden on Atlas.
Atlas knew why his sister died, and that's why he had to clean up the academy in the first place, in a word, this superhero academy, where incredibly special children were trained, could perhaps be the basis of the entire empire.
And that was the first thing he had to do to save his sister.
"I'm sorry, sis..." Atlas said and immediately after that, "I want to take a shower if you allow me." he said, indicating that he needed to stand up.
With his sister's approval, he took a shower that lasted almost an hour and then quickly cleaned his room.
After that, of course, she was prepared to use other potions. At the moment, he only had the potential of a 4th-grade mage, thanks to the mana around his heart, he was at a level where he could use first-grade spells without being first-grade, but this was not enough for him.
He was going to maximise his potential to such an extent that before he entered the Globe, the academy for training Mage and Aura User heroes, he would already be as powerful as a third or fourth-grade mage.
After telling his sister that he was going to train again, Atlas finally sat down on another rug he had laid on the floor and then pulled out another of the potions he had put in his magic bag.
Without waiting, he had stitched the potion down his throat and the process had begun again after a short time.
Time would pass like this for a long time. The masses of mana that the potion gave out one after the other were so great that the body was no longer able to distribute this mass properly. In short, Atlas's body was really inexperienced in this matter.
Even if a person was a sorcerer, he had to train himself after all.
By the time he drank the fourth potion and was only able to assimilate half of it, his potential had already reached the level of a 10th-grade mage.
He still didn't have any magic rings, but he was sure of this... he could cast a 3rd-grade spell right now.
This meant that when his sister left, Atlas could begin his plans.
He showered three times in one day and then prepared to go to his room to go to bed. At that very moment, Atlas was stopped by his sister.
His sister was looking at Atlas with a gift box in her hand.
"Your birthday may have passed, but it took me a long time to find the present. Since you said you were going to be a wizard, I tried to find the best one." Eva said with a big smile.
Atlas took the gift box from his sister's hands with great curiosity put the box on the table and opened the box. He couldn't help being touched by what he saw.
There was an ordinary knife in front of him, it was not such a jewelled knife, it was just a knife with both Eva's and Atlas's names written on it.
"This is..." Atlas said, and while he was trying hard not to cry after everything he had been through, he added, "The best gift I've ever received, sister..."
Eva smiled and said, 'I'm glad. It has a protection stone inside of it, if you get hurt you can make it work and if you attack a monster with it, they will have scars that won't heal. Even if you want to be a mage, I've given you enough training, you can be a good melee fighter."
Atlas smiled and then put the knife in his magic bag.
"It looks like I'll be back sooner than expected, we didn't get to spend time together as I promised you, but you can always come with me to the palace, remember, you and I have special permission," Eva said.
The emperor had to cut Eva's holiday short it seemed. Since Emperor Aether was not like that, it was obvious that there might be a problem.
"You don't even have to think about it, sister, please do as you wish," Atlas said, praying with all his sincerity and the deepest feelings of his soul that his sister would be fine.
However, there was nothing left to do until the end of the day.
Atlas was constantly meditating and trying to take the rest of the potion without harming his body, but he couldn't do it.
It was as if his magical heart refused to accept any further strengthening.
This meant that there was only one thing to do now. Atlas soon saw his sister off and then went to bed and slept for sixteen hours straight.
After that, he realised that he needed to get ready and start working on the things he wanted to do. His sister's early departure had made him change his plans to earlier hours.
He had money for the journey, but a plan had occurred to him to sell one of the low-grade potions he had. Of course, he wasn't going to do that right now, but he decided that each of the roads he would choose on his journey should be connected to an auction house.
With that, he could now start travelling.
