Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes

Chapter 5: More Than He Could Imagine

He really had to be calm right now. The mana circulating in his body was no different from the mana a pure-blooded dragon had at birth. It was indeed a huge mass of mana.

This meant that if he lost his calm even for a second, what would happen to him would not be an injury. His heart had the possibility of directly exploding.

Soon he was able to fully focus on meditation. When he drank this potion in his previous life, the potion was not this good. It was a potion that he bought from an ordinary magic market, not very expensive, but still useful.

Now he was in an incredibly weakened state, nothing like Atlas in his previous life, who was born with extremely low potential. If this potion had helped him 0.1% in his previous life, now it was helping him 1000%.

The potion would have such a profound effect on him that he would be able to cast spells of a certain rank before he even started building his magic rings.

It was indeed an interesting potion, but that was enough to explain the potion's power.

This was how huge the mass of mana in his body was.

He was breathing in and out continuously. He was distributing the mana in his heart to his whole body at the same rate every second, and at the same time, he was not forgetting to pass the mana through every muscle and nerve cell in his body.

What he was doing right now was actually the refinement and purification process performed by superior magicians or "Grandmaster Magic Heroes".

It was a very painful experience even for grandmaster heroes, but for him, it was really nothing. His consciousness, brain and senses were so instinctively accustomed to pain that what was happening now was like a needle being pricked in his brain.

In short, to increase their magical potential to the next level and in this case to break the limits of their own bodies, they would no longer keep the mana in their heart, but would rotate it throughout their entire body. It was much better to acclimatise their bodies and make their bodies pure for mana, after all.

Even though aura users did the same thing, magic was the easiest way to do it. That's why aura users were held in high esteem, there was a mountain of difference between a 9th-grade mage and a 9th-grade aura user.

Aura art was an incredibly difficult thing to control. This was because each aura user's art was something different.

Yes, the teachings could progress in a straight line, but in the end, each of them would have a different 'Aura Impulse, Aura Utilisation, Aura Heaven' and many other techniques combined with aura.

For example, Atlas's sister's Aura Heaven technique would give those who saw the technique a feeling as if they were burning in a fiery zone.

This was the reason why aura users were so good against mages. A sorcerer who was distracted or confused could not cast spells.

Most aura users, also known as Warrior Heroes, would die before they could become a 5th-grade users for the rest of their lives.

Even in that state, it would help them stand against a seventh or even eighth-grade sorcerer.

Aura, unlike magic, was indeed an INCREDIBLY difficult thing to train. They had to swing their weapons hundreds or even thousands of times a day, train their bodies under hundreds of kilos of weight every day, and many other things that made it very challenging.

Unless one was a genius and had an epiphany, aura was not a power that could be easily strengthened.

Of course, Atlas was inept against both powers, so he took the path that was easiest for him. He had used the potion and was already maximising his potential.

If he could adjust all his muscle cells and nerve cells to react naturally to mana, and if he could get both blood and mana flowing through all his veins, his potential could be greater than that of a dragon flying skyward.

When he reached the Grandmaster level, he could even try to do this process again.

Indeed, what he was doing now was very dangerous, but the reward was very excellent.

That's why he was being extremely careful. He managed to repeat this process almost ten times every five seconds, and every time, even if he didn't realise it, dark liquids would flow out of his body.

The carpet on the floor of his room began to turn red and an insane odour began to waft out of his room.

Still, there was nothing to do, Atlas was literally trying to purify the cell fragments in his body.

The potion still hadn't fully kicked in, as the mass of mana building up in his body was increasing each time.

After only five minutes, Atlas began to lose blood. Though he didn't realise it because he had to focus, small amounts of blood began to flow from his nostrils and the corners of his eyes.

This blood had a jet-black colour. In a way, it would not be wrong to say that it was almost the same colour as the fluid coming out of his skin.

This meant that the dirt in the body had been removed. In short, Atlas was starting to succeed in what he was trying to do. His body was becoming much purer than it had ever been before.

Even though he was too weak to realise it, a great change had taken place in his heart. When a mage became accustomed to mana and began to exist as a 'mage', they simply trained their heart.

This was because the magic rings that formed around the heart could damage them if misused.

When Atlas constantly moved the huge mass of mana around his heart around his body and pulled it back into his heart, what he was doing was strengthening his heart and every vein and valve connected to his heart.

The fact that what he was doing now was something he had to do when he entered the third grade showed that the potential he could reach had already reached that level.

In just five minutes, he had made the same progress as he had made in the four years of his previous life when he first entered training. This potion was such a powerful potion.

And on top of that, he had the chance to use exactly 3 more of this potion.

He stayed where he was for almost thirty minutes, but when he opened his eyes, he finally managed to realise how awful he was.

The carpet he was sitting on was covered with dried blood and a black liquid. He could feel the air coming in through the open window, the stench in the room, the development of his tissue senses and the mana around his heart.

It was such a strange phenomenon that he realised again that he had not felt like this for a long time, and had not been filled with such pure energy. He had been fighting for so long that he seemed to have forgotten how pure and clean mana the world was before the war.

Despite the stench, mana was entering his body every time he breathed. It was a very strange feeling.

At that moment, he heard fast footsteps coming from outside his room. Before he realised what was happening, the door to his room was suddenly opened quickly and with great haste.
