"Absolutely brilliant…"

Link Star flipped through the design schematics of the Möbius Drive, which had just been sent to him as a reward from his top patron. His eyes sparkled with excitement.

The Möbius Drive was a device that utilized the Wild Rune as its core to manipulate space-time. It could harness the power of the Wild Rune to influence the space-time around the user, enabling abilities such as time reversal, time stop, time deletion, and even time foresight.

At this moment, Link was like a gourmet who had stumbled upon the most exquisite dish, devouring every detail of the design with insatiable hunger. His breathing grew heavy as he meticulously examined every inch of the schematics, leaving no detail unnoticed.

As he absorbed the knowledge and technology embedded in the designs, the blueprint for the first "Sin" of his Sin Project began to take shape in his mind.

In just an hour and a half, Link had fully digested the schematics. Letting out a long exhale, his eyes gleamed with newfound clarity. He grabbed a blank blueprint from his workbench and began sketching the design for the Sin.

Soon, a "dragon" emerged on the paper.

The creature stood on two legs, its streamlined body neither too thin nor too bulky. The interlocking clockwork structures resembled muscles, exuding an indescribable sense of power. Its wings were not the typical flesh or feathered variety but a hybrid design combining the best of both, enhanced with Hextech propulsion.

Its arms hung low, extending past its waist, but instead of claws, its fingers were tipped with semi-transparent crystals capable of channeling energy into concentrated beams. Its neck was long, its head regal, and its horns formed a crown-like structure.

Link stepped back, admiring the completed design on the table.

The Möbius Drive had pushed his technical skills to new heights, allowing him to seamlessly integrate three distinct technologies into one. However, this advancement also meant that the materials required would be exceptionally demanding.

"The clockwork muscles and skeleton must be made from the finest rune steel, without a trace of any other metal," Link muttered to himself. "I'll also need petricite as a base material to enhance its energy manipulation and resistance to magic."

"As for the alchemical solution, I'll need to create a special reagent that can resonate perfectly with Hextech energy to ensure smooth energy flow."

"And finally, the Hextech components—" Link hesitated. "The Hextech gem reserves at the Hexgate are more than enough for my needs. Even if Jayce won't let me take the gems from there, I can always synthesize Hextech gems to build the Hextech matrix."

"But the materials for the Möbius Drive are the real challenge. The Hextech matrix alone won't be enough to fully unleash the Möbius Drive's potential."

Link picked up the Möbius Drive schematics again and flipped to the last page. In the corner, a note specified the ideal material for the drive—a material capable of fully harnessing the power of the Wild Rune.

It was the Primordial Crystal.

A rare and mysterious ore mined in Shurima, the Primordial Crystal was incredibly scarce. Even a small fragment contained immense magical energy. Only this material could fully accommodate the Wild Rune and maximize the Möbius Drive's performance.

Link was no stranger to Primordial Crystals.

They were the heart of the Brackern, the race to which Skarner belonged. These crystals were the lifeblood of their species, essential for their survival and reproduction.

In the original timeline, it was the Ferros Clan—led by Camille—that first discovered the Primordial Crystals. However, due to their rarity and irreplaceability, the Ferros Clan developed synthetic Hextech crystals to meet their needs.

Camille, who was already in her eighties but maintained her youth, owed her longevity and superhuman abilities to her Hextech heart, which was powered by a Primordial Crystal.

"Primordial Crystals…" Link opened his dimensional mailbox and selected an anonymous message.

[A wise and capable child who demonstrates courage deserves a reward.]

Reading the message, Link retrieved a coffin design schematic he had stored in the attachments.

"Looks like I'll have to play the role of a tomb raider after all."

As he studied the design, a glint of determination flashed in his eyes.

As for his previous claims about taking a Mega Inferno Bomb head-on or jumping off the Council building…

Well, the essence of humanity is being a "True Fragrance Monster"!

As long as he wasn't a repeater, a sour grape, or a flake, being a "True Fragrance Monster" once in a while wasn't so bad.

"Even if I have to raid a tomb, I need to be fully prepared."

Link set down the schematics and glanced at the piles of documents and materials around him. A plan was already forming in his mind.

The Next Day

Council Building, Medarda's Office

"Hey, Medarda."

Link pushed open the door to Medarda's office. She looked up from her stack of documents, pulled a file from her drawer, and placed it on the table, her face showing signs of exhaustion.

"Envoy, I've prepared the information you requested on the Ferros Clan. It's all here."

"Thanks."

Link picked up the file and began flipping through it immediately.

The current head of the Ferros Clan was Stevan Ferros. He had only one known descendant, a granddaughter named Dacia Ferros, who assisted him in managing the family's affairs. There was no information about Stevan's siblings.

His father had died during an expedition, and his mother, overcome with grief, passed away shortly after.

Though the Ferros Clan maintained a low profile in Piltover, their influence and business networks spanned half of Runeterra, from Ionia to Bilgewater.

The clan employed a network of spies to protect their interests, with around eighty agents guarding the Ferros estate.

Despite their reclusive nature, the Ferros Clan possessed the power and wealth to shake the very foundations of the Twin Cities.

"Thanks, Medarda." Link placed the file back on the table.

"Envoy, I don't know what you're planning with the Ferros Clan, but take my advice—this family may seem unremarkable, but what you see is only the tip of the iceberg. When I first arrived in Piltover, they helped me immensely. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today."

"Don't worry, I'm just gathering some information. No need to stress, Medarda."

Link smiled and turned to leave.

"Oh, and send my regards to your mother!"

Medarda nodded slightly as she watched him go.

"I will."

After leaving the Council building, a gentle breeze enveloped Link, aiding his movement through the city. Janna's voice echoed in his ear.

"Link, Jinx and the others found the craftsman named Sia. They got some information about that rumor from him."

Link stopped on the rooftop of a five-story building.

"What did he say?"

"Sia admitted that he spread the rumor to create confusion. He was scammed, lost his work, and couldn't repay the debts he incurred while creating it. He used the rumor to distract his creditors and fled Piltover."

"What happened to him?"

"Not well. When Jinx found him, he was being beaten and threatened by his creditors."

"I see." Link clicked his tongue. If Sia's story was just a rumor, it meant he had never actually seen Camille.

However, the Ferros Clan did exist in this version of the Twin Cities, and the current head's name matched that of Camille's brother in her backstory.

So, the possibility of Camille's existence was about fifty-fifty.

Link sighed as he organized all the information he had gathered.

"To be safe, I'd better plan this carefully!"
