Chapter 26: This Is Your Sword (and the Idol's Loyalty)

"Nanda Parbat. Ah, the spiritual home of brooding, ancient assassins, and questionable interior decorating choices," Adam muttered, adjusting the tactical vest he'd somehow acquired (definitely not a wish, he swore). "So, Oliver's got a plan. A plan. Which means it's probably going to involve more angst and less actual planning. And a deadly virus. Because, you know, it wouldn't be a season finale without a good old-fashioned plague."

Jisoo, who was meticulously cleaning a small, decorative dagger she'd found (and Adam had confiscated, then given back to her because she looked so cute with it), simply hummed. "They are very serious here. Like a very serious dance group. But with more… sharp objects." She looked at Felicity and Diggle, her eyes filled with a quiet determination. "We will protect them, Snack King. They are our friends."

Adam nodded, his usual sarcasm tinged with genuine concern. He knew Oliver's plan was elaborate, but the stakes were too high. He needed to do something.

"System, Minor Wish: 'Disco Torches.' Target: All League of Assassins torches. Activate during infiltration."

[SYSTEM MESSAGE]: Minor Wish 'Disco Torches' Used. Cost: 25 Days. Current Wish Balance: 196 Days. League's confusion: High. Host's amusement: High.

As Team Arrow stealthily infiltrated the League's compound, the ancient, flickering torches lining the corridors suddenly, inexplicably, began to pulse with vibrant, multi-colored light, transforming the grim stronghold into a bizarre, impromptu disco. League members paused, bewildered, looking around for the source of the unexpected rave. The momentary confusion was all the team needed to slip past.

"Did anyone else see that?" Diggle whispered, shaking his head.

"Must be a new League security feature," Felicity deadpanned, stifling a giggle.

Adam, meanwhile, was plotting his next move. He saw Diggle, his face etched with turmoil, struggling with his trust in Oliver. "Poor Dig. Always the moral compass. And always getting dragged into Oliver's messes."

"Diggle," Adam said, sidling up to him. "You look like you're trying to solve a Rubik's Cube made of existential dread. How about a little 'clarity of mind'? A Wish. For, say, a hundred days. Help you sort through all this… Oliver-related emotional baggage."

Diggle stared at him, bewildered. "Clarity of mind? What are you talking about, Adam?"

"Cosmic therapy," Adam shrugged. "Think of it as a mental spa day. No strings attached. Just… answers. Or at least, a clearer head to find them."

Diggle, desperate for any insight, finally nodded. "Fine. A hundred days. Just… tell me what to do."

[SYSTEM MESSAGE]: Wish Trade initiated. Customer: John Diggle. Wish: Clarity of Mind. System Estimate: 50 Days. Host Proposed Trade: 100 Days. Profit: 50 Days. Customer agreed. Wish granted. Current Wish Balance: 246 Days.

Diggle blinked. A strange, quiet calm settled over him, and the swirling doubts in his mind seemed to untangle, allowing him to see Oliver's actions with a new, albeit still painful, perspective.

Later, as Felicity found herself cornered by several League members, Jisoo's eyes blazed with fierce loyalty. A crown of light appeared over her head, shimmering with raw power. With a guttural cry, she unleashed a powerful magical blast that slammed into the League members, disarming them and sending them sprawling.

"No touching my unnie," Jisoo said, her voice low and dangerous, her usual unbothered demeanor replaced by a terrifying fury.

Adam watched her, a proud, slightly terrified grin on his face. "My Jichu. Always protecting her friends. And always looking majestic while doing it. My Wish Day balance is looking good. Time to prepare for the final battle."
