Chapter 269: The Opportunity for an Audience
"Roar—"
With earth-shaking roars, the Red Dragon and White Dragon were locked in a fierce struggle, their enormous, robust bodies colliding, neither able to claim victory for the moment.
Dracalis tried to press down on Tiniya, to completely subdue her, but Tiniya always managed to escape at crucial moments, utilizing her agility to maneuver deftly on the battlefield.
And whenever the Red Dragon relaxed its guard, Tiniya would open her frigid maw and swipe her sharp claws, attacking her vital spots.
At this moment, the White Dragon seemed like a calm assassin, consistently evading the enemy's gale-like attacks and pinpointing weaknesses for a deadly strike.
The more they fought, the more surprised Dracalis became, realizing that this White Dragon was far more challenging than she'd imagined.
While Dracalis had a slight advantage in absolute strength, the White Dragon's strength was also formidable; its swift Bite, slaps, and scratches were incredibly difficult to evade.
What distressed her was the Frost Divine Power; nearly every attack from the White Dragon carried a trace of cold. If caught off guard, she would be invaded by frost, resulting in chill-induced wounds.
Dracalis was fully concentrated, launching attacks like a storm upon the White Dragon, but her own body was already covered in frostbite.
"I must quickly finish this; the threat of this White Dragon is too significant!" the Red Dragon thought through gritted teeth, then crashed into the White Dragon, swinging her wings to rise into the air.
Yet Tiniya's thoughts mirrored hers almost identically, though with some peculiar focus.
I must defeat this Red Dragon swiftly!
The threat of Dracalis was too great; she was a young and vigorous Red Dragon, remarkably handsome by dragon standards. If she met the master, who knows what might happen...
At this thought, Tiniya was filled with grief and anger.
No! She absolutely could not watch such a thing happen! She must do something!
With this realization, Tiniya also flapped her wings, quickly ascending to the sky with a hostile gaze fixed on the distant Red Dragon.
"Roar—"
At almost the same moment, the Red Dragon and White Dragon let out simultaneous roars, unleashing the terrifying strength within them.
Flame cracks appeared across Dracalis' chest.
Golden pupils shot out two streams of Flame, her robust draconic body enshrouded in raging fire, like a dragon from Hell.
Her expansive wings unfolded with a swish, the flames obscuring the sky, accompanied by the fizzing sounds of air burning everywhere.
Meanwhile, Tiniya folded her wings in the heights, thick Ice Crystals forming a pure white cocoon around her, releasing a piercing cold.
The struggle between giant dragons never involved mercy, always seizing the opportunity for a fierce attack.
"Die—"
Dracalis charged towards the icy cocoon with overwhelming flames.
Yet at that moment, Tiniya suddenly spread her wings, letting out a raspy roar, her eyes glowing with ice blue.
Immediately, a gale howled, snow filled the air, and the area within a hundred meters turned into a world of white. The White Dragon's body was covered in heavy ice crystal armor, exuding endless cold.
The ground rumbled, and ice mountains erupted from the earth, rising from below.
"Boom!"
Ice and fire again clashed fiercely, ice shards flew, fiery flows soared, and thick smoke billowed into the sky. Within the shrouding smoke, the two giant dragons fought wildly, occasionally showing glimpses of their scales.
"White Dragon, I underestimated you; I admit you're a worthy opponent," Dracalis said with a vicious grin, then swung her flaming claw to strike the White Dragon abruptly.
"Hmph, who needs your acknowledgment? Arrogant creature!"
Tiniya swung her tail, deflecting the incoming claws, turned her head, and lunged at the Red Dragon's throat.
Dracalis tilted her head, opened her blood-filled mouth to unleash a searing Fireball straight at the White Dragon's face.
"Boom!"
Unyielding, Tiniya sprayed an intense frost from her mouth, creating a cone-shaped domain before her, instantly extinguishing the Fireballs.
"But unfortunately, the final victor will only be me!"
Dracalis inhaled sharply, flames surged continuously from the depths of her throat, illuminating the sky, contending against the White Dragon's icy Breath.
Neither side backed down, determined to declare a victor.
"Damn..."
While maintaining her Breath, Tiniya also watched the Red Dragon's status.
Her master had taught her to exploit weaknesses, aiming at the enemy's most vulnerable spots for attacks.
Though the Red Dragon could counteract Frost Power through the Ancestral Dragon's Bloodline Power, she couldn't completely avoid frostbite. With accumulating injuries, the left side of her body already showed slight sluggishness.
Moreover, Dracalis' left shoulder had been pierced by an ice spike; destroying that wound would surely cause irreparable damage.
Opportunity knocks but once.
With this thought, Tiniya resolved to seize this altercation and land a decisive blow.
She quietly summoned Matalotok within her, allowing Frost Power to flow through her body, gradually concentrating in her right claw, her scales emitting ice blue light between their gaps.
Not far away, Dracalis closed her mouth slowly, gasping heavily, smoke poured from her teeth and nostrils, her head heated, seemingly in an overheated state.
