Babysitting Whitebeard’s Crew:How I Accidentally Became a Teen Emperor

Chapter 10: Chapter 10: A Person Who Doesn’t Believe in Themselves Is Worthless, No Matter How Hard They Work

Seated under the mangroves, Marco held the The Legend of Might Guy in his hands, its colorful panels glinting under the filtered sunlight.

"You're serious about this?" Marco glanced up at Jozu, his expression still skeptical. "You're saying all this power came from a comic book?"

Jozu smirked confidently. "You'll see. Words won't convince you, Marco. Just read it. Trust me, once you try it, you'll understand."

Marco sighed heavily. Reading comics wasn't exactly his idea of "training," but for Jozu—his brother—he'd give it a shot. "Fine, but if this turns out to be a waste of time, I'm making you clean the deck for a month."

Jozu simply chuckled. "Deal."

While Marco opened the book, Jozu flipped to a later chapter, immersing himself once again in the comic's training realm.

As Marco scanned the opening pages, he noticed something odd—Jozu's presence vanished from his Observation Haki. He looked around, puzzled, but then shrugged. "Must've gone off to train…"

Inside the comic world, Jozu stood in the training field of the Might family, the iconic green jumpsuit-clad figure of Might Guy ahead of him.

Jozu watched as Might Guy pushed his body past its limits, sweat streaming down his face, every muscle in his body trembling from exhaustion.

"Break through! Break through! Break through again!!!" Guy's voice echoed like a battle cry, each word driving him to take another step forward.

For the ninth time, Guy forced himself past his breaking point, his movements agonizingly slow yet undeniably resolute.

Meanwhile, Jozu struggled. Despite his naturally robust physique, he'd barely managed two breakthroughs. His legs felt like they were chained to anvils, his arms refusing to move.

"I… can't…" he muttered, the thought creeping into his mind. "Just for a moment… maybe I should rest…"

The mental barrage began: You've done enough for today. Rest now, try harder tomorrow. You're not a machine. Relax.

Jozu's hands trembled as he prepared to collapse to the ground, but then—

Ahead of him, Might Guy roared, his voice raw with determination:

"A person who doesn't believe in themselves is worthless, no matter how hard they work!!!"

Guy pushed off the ground, blood vessels bulging and muscles quivering, his every step a defiance of human limitations.

Jozu froze, Guy's words echoing in his mind.

"Worthless…?"

Jozu looked at his own trembling arms, his body ready to give up. The disparity hit him like a punch to the gut.

He believes in himself… but I'm already making excuses.

A surge of shame coursed through him, followed by an overwhelming determination.

"NO!" Jozu roared, his voice shaking the air. "I WON'T GIVE UP!"

He planted his hands firmly into the ground, forcing his body upward despite the searing pain in his muscles.

"For Dad!" he growled, the image of Whitebeard's unwavering figure flashing in his mind.

With a guttural scream, Jozu took his first step forward. Each movement felt like dragging a mountain, but he pressed on.

Step.

Another step.

Then another.

The pain didn't fade—it intensified—but so did his resolve.

Seeing Guy persevere gave Jozu strength. "I won't let your physical skills down, Might Guy!"

By the time Jozu started to trot, the smile on his face mirrored Guy's—a smile of triumph, born from unyielding effort.

Hours later, Jozu emerged from the comic world, drenched in sweat but with an unmistakable energy radiating from him.

Marco looked up, still buried in the The Legend of Might Guy. "You're back. So, what did you—"

Before he could finish, Jozu interrupted, grinning from ear to ear. "Marco, you'd better start practicing. This isn't just a comic—it's the real deal!"

Marco's gaze lingered on the book in his hands, an uncharacteristic glint of excitement in his eyes.

"Let's see what this The Legend of Might Guy has to teach me," Marco muttered, flipping to the next page.

Jozu chuckled, already picturing Marco's disbelief when he realized the comic's truth for himself.
