That momentarily made the students focus on the lecture, but they still glanced at Kai from time to time.

Kai clicked his tongue. "What is their problem?" he muttered.

Bao softly chuckled. "You're popular now, dude. Well, you've been popular for a while because of your reputation, but now it's for a different reason."

"I don't get it, though. They keep looking at me."

"Don't you like attention, though?" Bao asked.

Kai scratched the back of his head. "Well, that's true. But, this is too much."

Bao smiled. "Well, what can we say? Your face is really amusing."

Kai shook his head and continued listening to Sir Muchen.

However, he found that it was a topic that he had already learned when he was in his old body, so he observed his system instead.

After buying a Max Zhou bubblehead, winning the game, and consistently practicing each day, he had gone through his level pretty quickly.

He just needed to train for the whole week to be able to upgrade to the next level.

Time passed quickly, and before he knew it, the class with Sir Muchen had finally ended.

It was now time for their gym class, so the boys went out of the room to get dressed in their uniforms.

As they went back in, his classmates couldn't help but stare at Kai once again.

Yumi made eye contact with him, so Kai awkwardly smiled.

It looked pretty off, but Yumi still found him quite handsome, so she looked away.

They settled back in their seats and waited for their teacher to come.

After a few minutes, Miss Cherry entered the room with a small, worried smile.

"Good morning, class," she greeted.

"Stand at attention," Harbin said. "Bow."

The class bowed in respect before Miss Cherry gestured for them to sit down.

"I know I said that we would have a quiz today," she said, making the class groan.

She chuckled in amusement.

"However," she continued, making the students hold their breaths in anticipation.

"The school has a problem with another class."

"As you all know, Sir Jin is no longer with us for valid reasons," she said with a stern face.

"So, his class, which is at the same time slot as us, has been handled by a substitute teacher that isn't in the Physical Education department. However, that teacher unexpectedly has to substitute another class in her department, leaving the other class without any supervision."

"I am the only P.E. teacher who teaches at the same time slot as Sir Jin, so is it alright if we postpone our quiz and have a joint class with them instead?"

The class didn't have to be asked twice.

"Of course, teacher!"

"That would be amazing!"

"I would love to have a joint class!"

Miss Cherry shook her head in amusement.

"For all I know, you guys just don't want to have that quiz."

Meanwhile, the other class was already waiting at the basketball court.

"What are we going to do now?" one of them asked.

"They said we would have a joint class for today, but it hasn't been confirmed. Did you hear about it, Lina?"

Lina shook her head. "Not really. Can this be just a free period?"

"I'm surprised that Suzy's here, though. I thought they would have cheer practice since the Shizi Snakes' games are coming up."

"Yeah," another chimed. "I'm not complaining, though. I would always love to be in the presence of Suzy Mei."

The second-year students continued to speculate about what they were going to do for the period when the doors opened, revealing Miss Cherry with an apologetic smile.

"Sorry, students," she said. "You'll have to join my class temporarily while the school looks for Sir Jin's replacement."

The second-year students nodded in understanding.

Then, they craned their necks, curious about the class that was going to join them.

"Aww, so cute! We'll be joining first-year students."

"You're only one year older than them."

The students entered, and as soon as Lina saw Bao, he knew that another person would be in the class.

She stood and looked around for a familiar face.

However, she didn't even need to look for him for a long time since his face instantly stood out.

The gym was filled with murmurs as soon as he arrived. He sat next to Bao and talked about a video game they wanted to play while others continued talking about him.

"Kai is so handsome, huh?"

"Yeah, I saw him in the game, and he became even more handsome in my eyes because he was such a good player."

"Do you think he has a girlfriend?"

"I don't think so. You should try."

"I already saw him in the games, but seeing him up close is another story. He looks really good!"

Suzy turned to glare at a bunch of girls who kept talking about Kai, making them purse their lips in fear.

"Alright, settle down!" Miss Cherry exclaimed, making the students quiet down.

"Well," she sighed. "We have a big class today, so please bear with me."

"I found it quite hard to look for a topic that would fit two different year levels. The first-years have already discussed dodgeball, while the second-years are on self-defense. With that, I came up with a great idea to combine the two!"

The students discussed excitedly, wondering what their teacher had prepared for the day.

"So, for today," Miss Cherry started off, building anticipation for her announcement.

"We will have couple dodgeball!" she exclaimed.

"Couple dodgeball?"

"Why does that sound pretty...sweet?"

Kai was confused since he wasn't quite familiar with the concept of couple dodgeball.

"Do you want to pair up?" Bao asked.

"Sure," Kai said despite his confusion.

"However, this couple dodgeball would be with a twist!" Miss Cherry continued, capturing their attention once more.

"You can pair up with any gender that you like," she said.

"Sweet," Bao muttered.

"However! To build rapport between the different year levels, you can only pair up with someone who's not from your class!"
