Beast Taming? Nah, Dragon Herding is Way Better!

Chapter 133: Old People's Greatest Legacy

Shaking his head as he is aware that it is not the time for those thoughts, he directs his focus towards the duo once again, still stupefied as their questioning gaze clearly reveals their curiosity towards the sudden disappearance of the spire they are originally standing on, cautiousness growing larger and larger in them as they saw the crown of a magic circle still up and functional, adorning the head of their opponent.

"Want to learn how I did that?"

Hearing the confident words from the emperor-like young man asking it like it wouldn't even be a problem for him to teach the spell he used, the duo couldn't help but feel like such an attack already this threatening to them wasn't even among the best card their opponent has, this line of thought making them gulp nothing but air as they tremble at the implication of this fact.

Smiling helplessly as they realized that this young man might be far more powerful than all the deductions and speculations from all his feats from when he enters the academy, it is the usually pessimistic sounding young man that speaks first, the expression on his face changing from the wry, helpless smile to one that is filled with quite the amount of respect visible on them.

"That would be too much of a favor to owe, fellow practitioner, but we are thankful for such an offer" the young man, Changsheng, replied with courtesy in his voice, offering an eastern greeting towards the emperor-like young man as he raises and cupped his fist before slightly bowing his head towards Diluc, which then reciprocates the greeting as much as he can.

"Thank you for going easy on me and my martial brother, classmate Leonhart~" also directing her attention towards the emperor-like young man before she cupped her fist towards him, the soft-spoken lady said, allowing Diluc to confirm that these two truly comes from the same master, something that is not really hard for him to deduce especially seeing the previous combination attack of theirs.

"You're… surrendering?" despite being mostly unable to study for the major part of his life after the fall of his family, being a sole child of a high ranking noble once, Diluc is fairly aware of the etiquette of even those from far away places, especially due to the fact that his mother and father loved to travel when they had yet to have him, and those experiences in their travels are what usually serves as the bedtime stories he has when he was a kid.

And now seeing the two cupping their fist, also a sign of respect, in a battle, he couldn't help but recall that one particular tale that his father had told him from when the two of them travels to the east, learning completely different culture and manners than what they are used to here in the kingdom and its neighboring lands.

"Is there a problem with us surrendering?" looking quite confused at the emperor-like young man's question, the soft-spoken Zixiang asked as she adorably tilts her head, such movements making the young man standing right beside her to blush quite a bit as he felt something warm rushing through his nose.

"There's no problem with that, Miss Zixiang, your martial brother however, appears to have a problem with it…" looking at the expression of pity that appears on Changsheng's face, Diluc couldn't help but feel quite confused as he is the one initiates their surrender, yet not, it seems like there's something he is still not satisfied with.

Meanwhile, hearing Diluc's words, Changsheng, who is currently holding his nose in fear of something coming out of it, immediately looks towards him as his expression changes to the amiable smile once more, explain the reason why he is looking like that previously.

"I just think that sparring with the fellow student here is really beneficial even if it is dangerous… I find it quite the pity that we have to stop the spar this early… since it does seem like we don't have the ability to fight with you… yet…" as he hesitates to finish his words, Changsheng dropped a hint that Diluc easily managed to pick up, the words from this young man making him wonder just where the confidence of eventually reaching a time where they can fight him. comes from the only thing he is able to find out being the fact that these two are far from simple student.

"Then, given your strength, I think it's highly likely that we will meet on the arena for the next trial, classmate, we can fight to our hearts desire there then" Diluc replies with a smile on his face before he starts moving away from them, heading towards his three friends who are quite shocked that the battle they thought would last for quite a while, possibly even needing them as back ups, will be dealt with so easily like this, not even a quarter of an hour passing and yet the emperor-like young man already dealt with all his opponents, even the two who feels way too peculiar and dangerous on the two elven beauty's eyes being pushed back just after a single attack alone.

"I'll go first, let's defend our places in peace, classmate" Diluc then informed as he returns to Alea and the other two faster, him leaving just like that, seemingly quite looking forward to meeting his friends once again, makes the duo wonder whether it is really the same young man who made them feel like such a small ant in the battlefield.

"You made quite the friend, Brother Changsheng…" addressing the young man affectionately as she smiles at him, the soft-spoken young lady teased as she watches the back of the disappearing Diluc, such figure making her think that she and her martial brother needs to work even harder than they already do.

"Indeed… we need to work even harder when we enter the Primaria Class" hearing the teasing tone on his martial sister, and childhood sweetheart's words, Changsheng merely smiles in acknowledgement as his gaze heads towards the area where the instructors are rumored to be watching, hoping that a certain idol that he and his martial sister met back then were among the instructors watching them right now.

Seeing the determined expression on the young man's usually uncaring and unfettered face, th soft-spoken Zixiang couldn't help but have her heart skip a beat as she takes in his image, fairly sure that this young man is really someone all too attractive to her, as if he's the one sent by the heavens for her to be with.

While this pure lady is thinking about all sorts of things, her beloved's new "friend" now arrives at his friend's place, the three of them looking at him with even more surprise than they had when he dealt with the geniuses previously coming to their original spire.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" being quite familiar with these three already, the expression in Diluc's face becomes more lax and expressive, appearing quite joyful as well, making the usual image of him suppressing all those supposed genius who managed to enter the academy the same age as him crumble into dust, making the ones familiar of that image wonder whether they are truly the same person.

"You know, you're so much more of a monster than I initially thought…" scanning him from head to toe as if this is just the first time she had seen him, the young elven duchess, Alfia, said with a hint of teasing in her tone, nodding repeatedly after shamelessly checking him out in his entirety for more times than one.

Meanwhile, the frail-looking Michael nods repeatedly at Alfia's words, his mind genuinely believing that it is likely that there's still someone stronger than this guy here in their generation, making him wonder just how did he become so powerful and strong like this.

Meanwhile, despite the shock of discovering the fact that he doesn't even need to use his martial arts in rder to deal with those two, the elven princess, Alea, managed to maintain some semblance of composure when facing him, something that she finds harder and harder to do as she comes to know of his real strength more and more.

"Ignore those two, that is some really flashy performance right there, I thought you don't want to attract too much attention to yourself?" as she recalls the short time it was just the two of them, she remembers him mentioning that he doesn't really want to stand out too much, something that she has no idea what the reason is, well, until she heard some bits from that proud young noble shouting and taunting the emperor-like young man about his family.

Hearing the clear concern on the elven princess' voice, Diluc couldn't help but smile in appreciation before he replies to assure her.

"That's in the past, now that they discovered me, ne way I am just going to let think I am a good for nothing, I'll show them the greatest legacy my old people left behind in this world"
