Being A Shinobi As A Tarnished

Chapter 39: A Sandy Match

Another week passed. "All he needed was a push he said. I could comprehend the reasoning behind your interest for a loyal servant such as Gunne but." Agheel had a disappointed expression on his face.

What he was observing was the Spirit Ashes, Wandering Noble. "What is the purpose of going through all that trouble for a decrepit, hunchback man?"

"Decrepit.." The old man was quiet but offended.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Agheel." Through Grace teleportation, he appeared at the North Agheel Lake Site Of Grace. He travels to the road on the side and encounters a Kaiden Soldier on horseback. On sight, he charged at him with his blade ready to cut Tyr down. But as it closed the distance, Tyr appeared on the horse's back and smacks the soldier so hard he crashed into the ruined building to the left. "I don't ha e time for this." He hopped off the horse and ran pass the Kaiden's base faster than they could perceive him.

He stopped because of a notification. "Shit... not now."

[An invader has entered your world.]

"I'll make this quick so I can get to Selene." A shadow loomed over his body. "There's ahouldn't be any giants in this area right?" He turns to see the origin of this shadow and it was an enormous hand constructed out of sand. Its weigh crushed the ground upon impact. Tyr was outside of its vicinity.

"You're one fast bugger." The sand travels back to its source. A woman with a gourd on its back. Her arms were crossed against her chest. Her hair flowed with a maroon hue as the designated color. This was Terra.

(A sand user and a gourd on her back....A fellow naruto fan huh.) Tyr stood upright and summoned an armament as modeled after the moonveil. With the length of the uchigatana, its design was very unique. "Bugger? How old are you?"

"Don't you know its rude to ask a girl about her age!!" Cubes form from the black sand. Their size decreases immensely before being shot forward. Sound lags behind their movements but this speed wasn't enough to outmaneuver Tyr. (Tsk, I don't even need my sharingan for this.) Using minimal movements, the first 10 was avoided easily. Tilting his head, shifting his body to the right at a 90° angle. Without using excess energy, he was avoiding each of them. Until, four of them expanded once they were passing his body. Smacking his temple, rib cage, leg, and arm. (What?) The cubes he dodged before decrease in velocity due to the change in direction. As they commit to a straight line again, their speed is raised by an exponential amount.

Tyr immediately leaped over to the left, avoiding the attack.

As he landed, a notification appeared.

[Scarlet Rot Build Up Increased By 30%]

"You infused Scarlet Rot into your Iron Sand? In what, realm do you need that in?" Tyr fixed his posture as he focused on the girl. (Wait..is that.)

"Elden Ring! Why wouldn't I need this?" He focused on her and saw white eyes with veins pulsating around the temple area directed toward her eyes.

(The byakugan.) Tyr popped his neck. "Looks like I can't afford to treat you lightly."

He glanced at her as the mirror wheel eyes appeared.

"The sharingan? This just got interesting." Instead of cubic structures, spherical objects form. They morph into pikes.

He gets into a forward leaning Iai stance, holding his new weapon by the scabbard while hovering his free hand over the handle. (I was hoping I could make my timespace build before I ran into another invader but....I guess not.)

They glare at each other intensely for a bit as if they were having a quickdraw match. Tyr moves his foot slightly on the ground and Terra reacts sending her bladed projectiles at his body. The spikes hit the ruined building behind Tyr, destroying it completely.

Avoiding the attacks by dashing from left to right, he couldn't afford to even get scratched by these attacks. "Stop trynna give me scarlet aids!!"

"Its rot you half wit!!" These attacks were getting increasingly faster.

(Guess I have no choice) His thumb presses against the collar guard and unleashes his blade.

[Flashback to an interaction with Hewg]

"Ayo!! Hewgio!!" Walking down the red carpet, the tarnished known as Tyr The God Of Tomorrow smiled at the Smithing Master Hewg.

"Of course its you." Hewg said while scoffing.

"Who else would it be, Hewgster? I'm your beloved god!" Tyr posed akin to Frieza.

"....Enough banter, lay out your arms." Hewg removed the sword that sat on the anvil.

"Actually, I have a favor." Tyr took out the horn of a Fallen Morningstar, glintstones, and the scales of Agheel.

"Right....what would you like me to make out of these.....fine materials. The horn of a Fallen Morningstar, Pure Glintstone Crystals and the scales of a young dragon." Hewg was amazed, not by their quality but their distinct differences compared to each other.

"Young?" Agheel said.

"I need you to model the weapon after a Uchigatana." He took out his Uchigatana.

"I'll need two of them." The Tree Sentinel's Halberd was taken out with the pelt of a Mistwood Bear. "Here's the scabbard for them."

"I...I'll do what I can." Hewg said.

"Thanks, I expect a lot from you, Hewg. And one more thing, Hewg." Tyr said while approaching him.

"You want more?" Hewg asked.

[Back to the Present]

Purple lightning races across the area. In front of her was a wall of iron sand, blocking what seems to be a projectile of purple lightning. (What was that?) Terra thought.

Tyr immediately ran down the straight lining that was open.

(He's coming.) Spikes were generated from her gourd. Breaking the sound barrier, they pierce through the air to reach him. Unlike the past, Tyr was slashing at the projectiles. The projectiles were sent flying from one direction to another.

(He's redirecting the attacks instead of dodging it. And he's not slowing down either.)

Tyr was growing closer and closer to her.

(It looks like he won't be able to beat me if I keep him at bay. I just need to stop his momentum.) Terra makes a wall of Iron Sand in front of him.

Tyr stops in his tracks and jumps back using the wall as leverage. "You long range merchant. You must not have insurance for me getting close to you." He points at her with his sword, Inryoku.

"Lets say thats true, would it matter if you can't get close to me?" She asked while smirking.

(She got me there.) He sheathed his sword. "That arrogant way of thinking I can't get close to you will soon be devoured by my blade."

Wings form from her back made from Iron Sand. She starts floating above the air and rains spiralling blades of Iron Sand at Tyr.

(This is a nightmare.) He begins to avoid the attacks left and right. Zipping yet again to avoid getting hit by her attacks. This time, there was no parrying the projectiles via striking due to the rotation of the constructs. And since he couldn't properly use jutsus with one hand just yet, Tyr couldn't use any long range technique just yet.

(She isn't gonna give me time to weave hand signs and just fighting her like this will wear me down sooner or later so what should I do?)

He quickly draws his blade out from its cover, sending out crescent shaped projectiles at Terra at high speeds. Of course, she blocks it with her Iron Sand wings. (I can't block her vision because of that damn byakugan. And my graviton lightning won't do much either. Am I screwed?)

"Do you really have the luxury to be lost in thought?" From below, the projectiles that bored into the floor comes outward as spikes that chain off of each other. And a cube from above mimics this, creating blades that branch off another over a wide range, raining down on Tyr. Is this the end for Tyr, The God Of Tomorrow?
