Chapter 43: Battle Of The Tarnished
An upward slash was avoided with a sidestep. Coming back down, Tyr used a high guard to block. "You're really sticking to this martial arts shit." Ronan commented.
"Just like you sticking to this swordsman bit. I can tell this isn't your main style of combat." He sends a punch to Ronan's chin but his sword blocks the attack.
"It can't hurt to learn right!?" He swings his sword upward, parrying the arm.
(Shit, I can't block in time.)
Ronan adjust the sword and thrusts it at Tyr's neck. Tyr disappeared and only the air was split. (This again.)
"You're getting better. If I wasn't in the know, I'd think you were a Saiyan." He pulled out a dagger from the hill that was behind Ronan before.
"In the know? What do you think I am then?"
"A demon." He exclaimed.
"Right on, Minato." Noted Ronan.
"Tyr but I get the joke." Said Tyr. "Well then, let's up the difficulty a bit." He closed his eyes and smirked. His thumb wiped his nose as it twitched.
"Underestimating me already? Heh, don't blame me for dying then!!"
DARK ORBS!! Black orbs are produced from Ronan's body. They burst out, travelling at lightning speeds. But each were avoided. His head tilts, dodging one. His torso leans to the left while arching, evading several. His foot uplifts from the ground and an orb hits the ground. He jumps up, dodging another that was aimed at his other foot.
(He can't even see, how is he avoiding everything??) The orbs change trajectory. But Tyr's body rotates 360 degrees both vertically and horizontally.
(Fine, I'll attack the area you're going to be at.) He launched an orb at the ground he was going to stand on but it's stabbed into the dirt by a kunai. Tyr lands on the kunai majestically.
(How is he doing that? Is he listening to the wind move or some shit) Ronan guessed but missed like a rookie archer.
The Inuzuka clan is known for imbuing chakra into their nose to increase their sense of smell by the tens of thousands. Tyr mimics this, and with the capabilities of smelling strength or energy levels, Tyr could sense the trace of energy that comes off each attack and use his intelligence to predict their movements.
"Is something wrong lil bro? I thought you were going to end me?" Tyr stepped down from the dagger.
"You're right, I am going to end you." His arms drop to his hips as immense force is emitted from his body. "DARK NEBULA!!" An explosion of darkness vaporized everything in a 50 meter radius.
"Teleport out of the way of that." Ronan said sarcastically. A foot is then planted on his head, slamming him into the dirt.
"Don't worry, I did!!" Tyr reassured him.
"H-how did yo-"
"Right before the explosion reached me, I threw my dagger above the explosion. Directly above your head." He stepped off his head.
"Honestly, right now you're too dumb to fight me." He shrugged. "You probably have been brute forcing your way to the top so you don't know how to think on your feet. Or you only focused on winning so you just kept trying till you won. Regardless, you lack critical thinking." He started walking off. "Avenging Gunne wasn't at hard as I thought."
"You think you're so good, huh." Ronan grits his teeth.
"No, I think I'm the best." Tyr said back to him. "I'll be ever when I put lion pelt on my back. That's gonna look amazing."
Darkness presumably ate different portions of Ronan's body. "Let's see just how great you are." He stood back up, injuries healed completely. "Really? Let's test that."
Tyr felt a chilly sensation from behind him. He turned to Ronan and saw a hole appear in his chest. "That's." Using body flicker, he dashed at Ronan while summoning his Uchigatana, slicing at his neck.
But as if a butter knife hit tungsten, the blade stopped at Ronan's skin.
"It's too late now." His fist rose, connecting with Tyr's stomach. It rearranged his organ for a second, causing him to spit up blood. His body hits the ground and tumbles, shattering ground with every hit. It was as if a basket ball bounced on glass without a hole poking through it.
He stops himself while holding his stomach . "The hell was that?? Where'd all this strength come from."
"Looks like he is finally showing you his true strength." Agheel commented.
Tyr smacked his tongue against his teeth. "Glad to have you here Agheel, had a nice nap."
"Indeed I have, It is fairly cozy in here." Agheel remarked.
His eyes turn red, showcasing the sharingan. "Whatever, it's about time I show mine as well then."
Regulating and circulating the chakra in his body, he increased his physical stats drastically. Especially his speed.
"This guy, you do know Bleach forms are greater than Naruto's. So why bother?! Just admit you're inferior to me and surrender." Ronan said.
"Please, as if I'd ever do that." Taking out a dagger, he bites down on its handle. He then pulls out his twin swords. They appear at his hilt and stands there only holding onto the scabbard of one.
"Well then, I hope you can gain your runes back." Blades with a cyan illuminance appear in the dozens. Beside them were the dark orbs.
Breaking the barrier a sound, a shockwave forms behind the moving objects. The swords and orbs race after each other to catch Tyr. Without hesitation, he starts moving. Running away from the position he was at. They hit the ground, cracking and splitting through the dirt. Other orbs attempted to stop him before he even got to his next position but were deflected with a graviton sword.
Coming at him directly was Ronan. A vertical slash down at The. Tyr clashes with it, blocking that attack with his sword. He saw the silhouette of different objects appearing before they were there. Noticing it, Tyr uses Ronan's force to support his escape. Dipping back and turning his head to throw the dagger at Ronan. Ronan tilts his head dodging it. "As if that'd land."
The blades draw near Tyr's body but Tyr only smirks. He disappears and they miss their target. Tyr appears behind him, sheathing his sword and launching daggers across the area.
"It's time I take you seriously." Tyr weaves hand seals together and breathes out a large sphere of fire at Ronan.
Ronan forged a shield of magic, blocking the fireball but something smacks against the shield. Something that wasn't fire. (A dagger?) Appearing right in front of the shield, Tyr shifts pass the shield to the right. He thrust his sword at Tyr's neck which he leans back to avoid. It barely nicks his throat.
He then turns his hand and make a large wave of darkness that cleaves through the ground from where they were at all the way to the beach. Tyr teleported out of the way to avoid it.
"This guy's reach is insane. That hollowfication really gave him a boost." Thinking back to their fight in Stormveil, Tyr draws a conclusion. "That's why he can spam large attacks with Moonveil. But how does he hollowfy himself without turning spiritual?? His body must turn into a spiritual form maybe. Or he could be an exception." He tried racking his brain around it but too many answers and questions arised.
"Whatever, all I know is. He doesn't seem to have an answer to Flying Raijin other than AOE attacks. I have 10 more daggers I can use as well. As long as I play my cards right I should be fine."
"I see you plotting over there." Darkness starts to expand, create a sphere large than Ronan's body. "And whatever you're planning, isn't going to work."
