Believe In The Weird and Wild (Star vs. the Forces of Evil x Steven U)

Chapter 184: Chapter 166: Final Plan

Summary:

Our final plan to save it all!

Heckapoo didn't expect much to happen today outside of running for her life and hiding out while the rest of the universe got destroyed. The bar fight the Butterfly's managed to get themselves in was a nice distraction, but that was it, a distraction. In the end, the multiverse was going to be slaughtered, so she was content with it just as long as she was able to get Meteroa and her family in a safe enough location.

So when Star and her brother popped out of Glossyck's eye(eww), and excitedly shouted out their plan, she was more or less confused rather than fearful. "So, you're destroying magic?" Hekapoo asked. "I mean yeah, I've lived a long life and I'm fine with moving on …"

"No, no, we're not going to destroy it…well, okay we are, but there's more to it." Steven went on.

"I know you too can be rather rambunctious together, but I never thought Star would convince you to go along with genocide after all we've been through." Pearl muttered with a hint of disappointment.

"Okay, I get it, destroying magic has its fair share of consequences, but that's why we went into Glosseryck's eyeball, to get a better answer, and we did." Star nodded firmly. "We're going to destroy the magic realm, and then make an entirely new one!"

"And you're sure this will work?" Garnet asked. "Creating a dimension is a little out of our range."

"… Pretty, Pretty sure …" Steven looked off to the side.

"Steven…" Kelly looked at her boyfriend with a raised eyebrow.

"Okay, it's not a completely solid plan, but we have reasons to believe it'll work!" Star pounded her fist. "I was able to revive the magic realm before with just a little scoop of magic. And thanks to Rose, we have an entire chunk of it just waiting to be used that'll allow us to pull it off!"

"What do you mean thanks to Rose?" Eclipsa asked with a hint of skepticism.

"Oh, we talked to Rose and the past Queens when we went inside of Glossaryck, but that's not important." Steven waved off.

"I feel that's pretty important-" Marco didn't get to finish.

"We just have to go into Lion's head to get a chest that has a seed of magic…" The boy paused. "Where is Lion anyway?"

"The Neverzone last I checked." Heckapoo replied. "Figured since it was the end of the multiverse anyways, I'd finally one up the pink bastard and lock him there, far away from me."

"Well we need him so …" It was a great little vacation while it lasted

"Yeah yeah, just let me say my goodbyes in case I die." She waved off, walking over to Meteora, gazing down at the little cretin. "Goodbye baby girl." The flaming woman kissed her on the forehead. "Never stop giving people hell and making them pay."

"Gawah!" The Mewman-monster girl shot her fist into the air excitedly. To think she was looking forward to giving her a dragon cycle for her fourteenth birthday.

"I still have serious questions as to why you're so close with my daughter." Eclipsa looked at her annoyingly, and Heckapoo just smirked in response. Even if she made peace with her, she still enjoyed one upping the old witch.

"And Marco." She turned to the boy.

"Let me guess, I was the most annoying friend you ever had?" He smirked like the gremlin he was in the Neverzone.

"Something like that." She grabbed the bald spot on his head, yanking him in for the deepest kiss she's ever had, something that's been brewing for over a couple centuries now.

Everyone around them paused and looked mesmerizingly confused, especially when she decided to add tongue, all except for one. "What the- HEY!" Star as expected, shoved her away. "WHAT THE HELL!?"

"Been wanting to do that for five centuries." Hekapoo smirked as she opened a portal. "No regrets!" She jumped into the Neverzone, happy she never had to answer anything on the off chance this all fell through…which was a most likely. She'd seen the kids pull off some crazy stuff, but saving the entire multiverse on this big a scale was way too much to be hopeful.

Jana scratched hard on her body, her body a seeming magnet for bugs. "Why do your mosquitos spell out Bewarb?"

"Just their way of being ominous or spooky I guess, you know, since they're gross bugs and all." Ponyhead shrugged. "At least you have hands to scratch the bites. With no laser horn i've got nothing but endurance … and I'm not gonna be able to carry this guy forever."

"We can rest …. If you need it …" Globgor offered, despite two thirds of his body covered in white light.

River simply let out a jovial laugh. "No man left behind, we won't rest until we get you there." She was starting to see where Steven and Star got their determination from. "As long as we're alive, we still have hope!"

"Yeah, and it's not like I had anything better planned today." Jana smirked. "There's saving the world, helping fight bad guys, seeing Tom …" She paused. "Oh shit, we forgot about Tom."

"Wouldn't he just end up in the underworld or some biz?" Ponyhead asked. "That's how that magic teleportation thing worked for you guys, right? Q-fly and the rock lady's ended up at Eclipsa's while you and B-fly went to the shed."

"Yeah, I guess. I just hope he's not freaking out right now." If the portals were still shut, then Tom was stuck in hell and unable to reach anybody else. "It really feels like we're on the short end of the stick, more so than usual."

"Pushed to impossible odds and the world trying to kill us? Sounds like a typical Wednesday for us." Ponyhead nudged her. "Relax girl, you're the witchy friend that doesn't blink when everything goes to crap."

"Kinda snapped on that recently with multiple emotional breaking points, but thanks for the support anyway Pony." Jana sent a grin to the floating head.

"We're here." They came up to an empty lake. "We just need to find the crocodile, say the password, and-" River was cut off by giant stomping noises as the ground rumbled. "... Oh butterbiscuts."

"Oh would you look at that! Another traitorous Butterfly!" Everyone turned their heads as they looked up, and saw Mina, in her giant knight armor with Omnitrackis floating right by her side. "Along with a freaky horse head and another human causality in the making! Me oh my, everything just comes in droves!"

"Well I am freaky, but you don't have to say it like an insult." Ponyhead muttered.

"Do you mind just … letting us go?" Jana asked. "We're already moving a dead man anyway …"

"We're not here for Globgor or you two." Omnitraxus spoke.

"Not yet anyway!" Mina chipperly shouted like a maniac.

"We're here for the sanctuary … and I'm guessing one of you knows the password if you planned on coming here?"

"Just so you know, I have more integrity than you realize if you expect me to just give to you!" River crossed arms. "This man is a dad and a part of my family! You'll get nothing out of me!"

"Oh I know … that's what she's for." The skull man turned to the giant knight. "Do as you wish, but don't kill River, and let them all go when we have the information needed."

"Oh, we don't even need this idiot! I got two passwords right here!" Mina grinned as she jumped out of her suit and dove into the water. Within a moment, the water bubbled over, and it exploded, sending dozens of crocodiles in the air as Mina flew out, lifting the whole structure out of it like it was a tree branch on her shoulders.

They all stared at the scene before them. "I'm both mildly impressed and slightly terrified …"

"Dude, what the heck do you even need magic water for? Aren't you like, made of Magic?" Ponyhead narrowed her gaze at them

"Apparently Rose is in the Realm of Magic, meaning we get to kill her head on!" Mina laughed. "And since her posse left with her, that means all the traitorous Butterfly's are there too! Which means I can finally clean the slate!"

River placed Globgore down. "I'm not going to let you harm my son-harm my son-harm my son-" The man kept teleporting backwards and repeating the same thing over and over.

"Localized time loop, that'll keep him busy." The cosmic being turned to the psychotic woman. "Your partner is late."

"What, Jasper's been through a lot." Mina defended as she placed the sanctuary down. "She just needs a little time to get her bearings in order.."

"RAAAAAAAAAGHH!" The orange cheese puff on magic steroids rolled through the forest, setting it ablaze as they crashed into the wall of the sanctuary, looking as beastial and mad as ever.

"See! She's as ready to fight as ever!" Mina psychotically grinned.

"I don't win no matter what I do." Omnitrackis grumbled.

"Do you really think you're doing the right thing here?!" Jana accused the void of space. "You're attacking more than just Monsters! You've teamed up with a genocidal maniac!"

Omnitraxus was silent for a second, before beginning to chuckle, then going maniacal. "The right thing? … The right FUCKING THING!?" They glared down at her, and suddenly Jana felt like a little girl gazing at void gazing back at her soul. "Your little friends, Steven and Star, plan on DESTROYING MAGIC!" Wait what? "Countless lives will be lost, including yours Ponyhead!"

"That's not…that's not what B-fly or Q-fly would do!" Ponyhead argued. "Whatever you think their plan is, there has to be more than just…"

"I DON'T CARE!" Omni shouted, and the trees around them were flung off of their roots, suspended in the air. "I've been working for a millenia for a so-called 'god' to keep everything in balance, only to get it told straight to my face that nothing I've done matters in his eyes! And I've had to constantly bend over backwards, fixing the disaster that is the Butterfly family, and now I'm expected to roll over for a couple of snot nosed brats that have NO idea what to do with the power they hold, because for some reason, WE ALL NEED TO FOLLOW ALONG WITH THE WHIMS OF STAR BUTTERFLY AND STEVEN UNIVERSE!?"

Jana felt like being a smart alek here would result in her death. "... Maybe think it over with a hot cup of cocoa?" She still couldn't resist.

"FUCK IT! You two, go inside, we'll enter that realm and rip everyone inside apart, limb from limb!" The clearly losing it cosmic being shouted. "And if any of you so much as try to stop me, I will delete you here and now!"

"Finally, I was starting to think you were going soft on me Omni!" Mina laughed like the manic she was. "Hope you enjoy the show, because it's gonna be the last one any of you ever enjoy!"

"No, no, you can't do…!" Jana called out, only for the sword to be thrown down right in front of them.

"I can do whatever I want." Omni threatened as he shoved them inside. This really felt like the end…and there wasn't anything she could do about it.

========================================================================

Star had a bit of a difficult last few hours. Turns out, the chest was fucking indestructible, so they had to go on a fetch and quest for the key, which was stored inside of Amethyst, who never freaking knew!! Then they had to store up on pudding for the trip, only to remember they were all broke, so they had to rob the place. Finally was getting inside the realm of magic, which was hard when the entire place was on lockdown from the safety inspector, thanks a lot Marco!

"Ugh, all of this, and we just went in a huge circle." Kelly groaned as the four of them, along with Mom, Eclipsa, and Amethyst walked to the magic well, where KO and Luz were still waiting for them, playing go fish of all things.

"Do you have any threes?" KO asked.

"Don't you dare say what I think you're going to say." Star growled.

"Wait, you guys are back already?" Luz blinked. "Why didn't you just call?"

"Long story short, everything is terrible and we're resetting magic." Star said. "We're also on a clock that's constantly ticking down to genocidal maniacs wiping out all non Mewmans and Humans."

"So a crisis across the multiverse." KO summed up as he cracked his neck. "Felt like the appropriate time for one to occur anyways.

"Yeah Mewni is pretty swarmed with Solarian knights, and we already sent Garnet and Pearl to help alleviate some of the pressure, but we're gonna need a lot more help." Steven explained it. "The portals are opened again on Mewni, gather everyone you can and hold them off long enough for us to do our thing.

"You got it, bro." Luz waved off as she and KO went up the ladder. Well, on the bright side, if all of this failed, Steven would at least have a sister to take her place.

"Alright, everyone, eat your pudding." Marco handed out some cups. "Each bite lasts about half an hour, make it count."

"It shouldn't take that long to destroy the magic anyways." Star said firmly as she licked her spoon. "All I need to do is say the whispering spell and it should start dying off."

"And once everything's all green and gray in the realm, I'll use my powers to plant the magic seed and make a new realm of magic." Steven nodded as he held up the yellow rock in one of his bubbles. "Oh, and be on the lookout for purple psycho unicorns that'll try to rip your flesh off."

"I'm at least proud that you've decided to include me in your plan instead of doing this on your own this time." Mom patted the two of them on the head.

"You know what they say. A family that destroys the universe together stays together." Eclipsa laughed as she held Meteora in her little baby carrier.

"Nobody has said that, ever." Marco deadpanned. "But it does sound like something Plagg might say …"

"This is really it." Steven looked to her, the two of them sharing the same look of conflict and dedication. "For all the marbles….See you on the other side?"

"See yah, bro …" Star cracked her neck. "Let's do this." They took a breath, jumping inside the pool of magic, coming into its realm … "Still gets in my mouth." Star groaned, spitting it out.

"Ugh, I'm starting to get flashbacks to the first time I came here." Mom grumbled as she moved through the yellow sludge all around them. "Definitely would've preferred to repress the memory of running around naked like a buffoon."

"I did not need to hear that today." Steven muttered. "Alright, so let's get to-"

"Really?" They turned to their Unicorn child. "I just got you out, and not only do you come back, you come back more corrupt than before, you bring back the first woman to corrupt this place and …" They stared at Eclipsa. "and what I can only describe as the embodiment of despair."

"Oh thank you, I try my best." Eclipsa snorted.

"Really getting tired of recapping this story." Star grumbled. "Long story, we're destroying and then recreating magic."

"... So this is how I die." They muttered. "I knew it would be because of you Mother, but I never thought this specific instance was how it would go down."

"Don't worry, we said we'll recreate it, so you should be fine."

"Do you know the effects on matter when you destroy and recreate it on a dimensional scale …" They paused. "Were you two planning on staying here while the Realm of Magic reset?"

"Well, yeah, at least I am." Steven explained. "I'm the magic booster, I'm the only one who can." Ah, silly naive Steven. Like she was actually going to leave him alone while he did this.

"You'll be torn down on an atomic level as your soul is erased like a bad drawing if you stay here during the process." They said bluntly. "Anything that's made of magic outside of this realm will have its memory erased, while anything that runs on magic … will weaken before returning to normal."

"And it'll cut off Mina from her source too, right?" Star asked.

"Yes, you'll be able to choose who and what can access magic as we're both torn into non-existence, father." The first born looked worriedly at her brother. "This isn't a light task. To do such a task is literally asking you to play god."

Steven looked at his hands, before gripping them. "I've come this far just being human, this shouldn't be that different."

Their child sighed. "Well if there's any plus side, it's that monster will go down with me."

"Oh yeah, the purple unicorn …" Marco noted. The purple what now? "Didn't your magic boost finally give you the edge?"

"It did at first … but then he got an ally." She looked to the giant pillar of fire approaching them, a black unicorn ridden by …

"Oh shit." Kelly muttered. "We forgot about Tom."

"What the heck?!" Star turned to her daughter. "Why didn't you teleport him out!?"

" He's under the protection of them now … "

"Join us mothers!" Said unicorn shouted while Tom raged in flames. "Let us purge this unforgiving universe of it's sins and watch it burn to protect our family!" The fire turn blacked as they both screamed in what was a mix of rage and agony.

"And now the Despair filled one is filling the realm with more darkness for them to absorb …" Firstborn deadpanned at the trail of black liquid.

"Heheh, a lifetime of using dark magic will do that." Eclipsa chuckled as she looked at her now clear arms. "On the bright side, I've almost forgotten what it was like to get goosebumps on my fingers."

"Don't worry guys, you do the magic jumbo, we'll take care of Tom!" Kelly raised her sword up and ran towards the foe with Marco following her.

"I'll join!" Amethyst pulled out her whip, rushing after them. "Just make sure to call out if things get bad!"

"All we need to do is get some pudding in his mouth and his brain should get cleared up." Marco charged forward, being the brave and lovable dork he always was. She definitely didn't want to live in a universe where she couldn't have both Steven and him in her life.

"Okay, whispering spell, please work." Star leaned down. "Break the bond, tear the fabric, cleave the stone, stop the magic." She forced her hands into the liquid. The golden slush turned a darkish and mucky green … before being washed away with more golden magic. "There's too much." She forced her hands in it again. "Break the bond, tear the fabric, cleave the stone, stop the magic!" She said more forcefully. The water began to grow a shade of pink, before turning back to normal. "What the …"

"Right, almost forgot, I'm a magical booster." Steven groaned. "I'm literally making this impossible just by being here."

"Don't forget, children, you have two queens with you right now." Mom comforted her as she and Eclipsa both leaned down next to her. "If we're going to break the universe, we should at least do it together."

"As for you Steven, place both of your hands and me and Moon." Eclipsa instructed her brother. "You can amplify the magic of those you've bonded with. If you can focus and do that for us, you may be able to amplify the whispering spell itself."

"Right." Steven placed a hand on her back, taking a deep breath as they began to work.

"Break the bond, tear the fabric, cleave the stone, stop the magic. Break the bond, tear the fabric, cleave the stone, stop the magic." The ground slowly became darker and darker … it was working!

"Babu! Baba!" Meteora, from Eclipsa's harness, started splashing around in the water. "Dee Dow….Dee Dow!" Her baby cousin lit up green until she sprouted six arms and butterfly wings, just like she did in the Neverzone.

"How …" Eclipsa sighed. "Glossaryck."

"Leave it to the little jerk to be vague and secretive till the end." Steven mumbled under his breath before looking around them as they were surrounded by a familiar fog. "Guys, I think you may have been right about it being a family thing."

"What do you …" Mom looked at the ghost of Comet. "Mother …"

"Mother?" Eclipsa gasped as she tried to hide her own face from Solaria, who could only give a saddened look in response.

The ghosts leaned down, joining them all in the liquid. "Break the bond, tear the fabric, cleave the stone, stop the magic. Break the bond, tear the fabric, cleave the stone, stop the magic."

"We're doing it…they're helping us!" Star shouted excitedly as the water began to turn more and more murky green. For once in her life, she had never been more grateful to be a Butterfly! "Our family is amazing!"

"That won't save you this time." Before they could even process the voice, space and time seemed to shift around them, separating Star and Steven from the group and into the faces of three … VERY dangerous individuals. "It's time to end this broken lineage once and for all."

========================================================================

Ludo stood his ground, even if his legs were yelling at him to get the hell out of dodge while he still could. The Solarians managed to take out Rhombulus, who was groaning with white energy phasing in and out of his body. "First time I've felt pain in … ever." The crystal man groaned.

"Same …" The right snake hand hissed. "Agony …"

"Why…why is everything so cold…why was I born a reptile and not as a mammal?" The left one's tongue hung out. "Why…why is my life a cruel joke?"

"AHAHAHA! SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPOSED GUARDIAN OF MAGIC!" The Knight that struck Rhombulus casually swung their blade around as the army laughed at his expense. "YOUR JUST ANOTHER FREAK TO ADD TO THE PILE!"

"Great … just what I needed to hear …" The man coughed.

"END OF THE LINE MONSTER SCUM!" A Knight raised their blade to Rhombulus. "TIME FOR ALL OF YOU TO DIE LIKE THE PATHETIC COWARDS YOU ARE!"

"Hey! If you want to strike a monster down, then try me!" Ludo called out

The Knights looked at each other. "YOU SEEM MORE LIKE A STEP THAN A STRIKE." One Knight answered with a shrug.

"Don't you dare underestimate me! You have no idea of the power I possess!" Ludo shouted out as he hopped on his spider and Eagle, ready to embrace the end. "Do you know who I am? I have waged war on the Butterly family for generations, I burned the magic book of spells to ashes, I merged with the most powerful artifact in the universe! I conquered all of Mewni with just a few simple beasts! I AM LUDO AVARIOUS, and I shall never be underestimated ever again!"

"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT!" A warrior pulled out a sword. "IT DOESN'T MATTER THE ORDER, AS LONG AS THEY ALL END UP DEAD!" They ran forward, ready to strike him down. Ludo would be ready, they would all fight to the end, just like always!

Even if it was only for a few brief seconds, he would give those seconds of his life to let the others have the chance to live just a little longer! He wouldn't be the villain of Mewni…he would be the hero…!

"Oh I do agree that we should be knocking them dead, but I'd prefer it be done by ticking their funny bone!" A loud and flamboyant voice shouted in the air as a hammer was sent out, tripping the knight flat on their face. "Fortunately for everyone, you have the lovely appearance of the ever gracious Sardonyx to do the job!"

A tall and imposing lean figure with multiple arms and one of those gem things on their head stood tall and proud. "…Oh thank goodness, I didn't have any faith at all that I would survive." Ludo sighed in relief.

"No problem, that's what we're for." A small boy that he vaguely remembered from the invasion showed up, cracking his knuckles. "Alright team, lets be heroes!"

"IT SEEMS EVEN MORE FREAKS HAVE SHOWN THEIR FACE!" A Knight shouted. "NO MERCY COMRADES! KILL THEM ALL FOR THE GLORY OF MEWNI!

"Freaks? Look in the mirror lately, bucket head?" A Ninja flipped around the Knights, using his smaller size and agility to avoid every strike. "And better a freak than being tall, dark, and rusty!"

"Looks like your plans are all about to go to dust!" A teenager in black spandex flipped in the air and touched one of the sword handles. "CATACLYSM!"

Said sword disintegrated to dust. "KEEP YOUR WITS! THEY WIELD MAGIC! START LONG RANGE ATTACKS!" … They've had long range attacks this whole time!!?

"So they're afraid to get up close and personal, are they?" A flying green toddler cracked her knuckles as she flew into the chaos in a blur of green light. "Sorry boys and gals, but that's how I like to dance!"

The Knights began to fight the blurs of light, ninjas, and spandex heroes…. "Is it weird that my life was simpler when I was stealing a magic wand from a teenage girl and her karate wielding boyfriend while trying to ignore the kindness of a boy with exploding bubbles?"

"No, I say that's pretty much a given." That little green gem lady he took control of once said as she shot little saws and spikes at as many enemies as she could. "Being 'evil' so to speak is simpler yet less fulfilling."

"I know it's less fulfilling, and I don't regret changing sides … it's just so hard to keep track." He said as the giant orange woman swung her hammer at some of the metal giants.

"Come on love, give me a good show, why don't you?"

"Believe me, I've nearly split my gem trying to keep track of it all." The green gem shrugged. "At one point you'll accept it and just count your lucky stars that none of the 'good guys' are going to be attacking you, since they have a tendency to do so and win no matter what."

"I guess we do have that." He nodded. Looks like there was only one course of action he could take.. "Come on Spider, let's try and trip them up!" Offer any assistance he can.

========================================================================

Steven sat along with his sister in horror Omnitraxus Prime, Mina Loveberry, and Jasper all stood with different levels of glaring at him. "... So … I take it you aren't here for the scenery?" He asked, trying to buy as much time as possible.

"Actually yes. The scenery that involves both of you nuisance's heads chopped off and splattered all over the floor." Omni darkly stated with a growl.

"Whoa, bit on the violent side today, aren't we?" Star hesitantly laughed.

"Well when I learn you plan on full on genocide, including me and my own FAMILY, I feel slightly justified." Steven felt the energy radiate off the man, as if he was next to against the sun.

"Oh, come off the high horse, we actually have a plan for that, unlike you psychos!" Star accused rightfully so.

"As if we trust you and your plans!" Mina shouted, buffing up. "Now I'm going to crush your skulls once and for all, Rose!" She rushed in. Steven made a shield, but a small hole was formed in the middle, letting her punch pass right through it and hit him head on.

"What the heck was-"

"I think you forgot my job." Omni spoke, raising his hand. "Space." Suddenly Steven was right back where he was before, being hit by Mina again. "Time guy."

"All that bull crap about not breaking the universe and here you go about doing it yourself!" Star shouted as she narrowly dodged Jasper, going full animal on her.

"Funny story actually … the good old man above said he doesn't even care about this anymore." Omni twitched, the galaxies inside of him spinning rapidly and violently. "So I figure if I die either way, I may as well finally get rid of the problem that started it all!" He grew larger and larger, enveloping the four of them 'inside' of Omni.

"Do you really think this is what you should be doing!?" Steven yelled as Mina's attacks were getting more and more ruthless across his body, his back forming scales so she wouldn't easily break it.

"Why shouldn't I, everyone else get to do what they want, why shouldn't I for once" He yelled as the stars in his body started to look more like supernovas. " Let me put it this way … you've always managed to piss off gods … " Steven never thought Omni was a slouch on the power side, but seeing him grow to THIS overwhelming amount of power and size made him realize how much he's probably underestimated the threat level of this man. "..But have you actually managed to kill on-"

S hing

Everyone turned as the spectral form of Solaria unsheathed a sword and swung at the sentient void's face, making starry looking black blood leak from the skull headed man. " If you're really a god…why do you bleed like any other man?"

"Solaria!" Mina shouted with joy. "You're here, now we can take out these traitors once and for all!"

Solaria simply turned to her former night, the face looking blank and neutral, but Steven could read the unholy amounts of restrained rage the old queen had within her. "Mina…you are my greatest.." The solarian knight suddenly found herself on the ground, that same sword pressed against her neck. " Failure."

"I …" The woman looked confused. "What?" She asked, complete bafflement inside of her voice.

"You threatened my daughter, you harmed my family, and you've lead Mewni to ruins…the best thing I can do for you is put you down like the dog you are."

"But … you believed in me." She spoke with a hint of sadness Steven DESPERATELY didn't want to hear from the crazy lady. "You said I could save Mewni if I followed your ideals … I helped you every moment of my life … because you gave me hope."

" I…chose wrong…" Before Solaraia could take the final blow, she was cast aside by a swing from Omni.

"So the entire Butterfly family wants to go, do they!?" He shouted, opening holes through space time as meteors, thunderbolts, and hailstorms ran wild. "Bring it on then, winner take all!" So this was the logical conclusion of him slowly being driven mad.

"You may regret that.." The portals began to shift away in their direction as Skywyne and half of the Butterfly ghosts made their way to the scene. "Your not the only one with time on your side."

The sky was lit up with rays of light circling a gravitational void, a constant back and forth of a fight Steven felt somehow was both more and less intense than the Diamonds.

"Better leave Omni's mayhem to us." Crescenta called out to them. "You just get back to your family and complete the spell."

"It's a little hard to do that at the moment!" Star shouted as Jasper tried to hit her over and over. "For once I wish I had my magic back!"

"No …" He turned to Mina, who was lying on the ground. "Nononononono …. Solaria can't say that she can't … I live for my queen, I do everything for her …" She clutched her head, rocking on the ground. "This can't be real this can't be real this can't be real." She slowly turned to him, and that familiar anger came roaring back. "YOU! I just have to kill you, and the whole world will make sense again!"

Steven braced himself for another impact to the face, only to be protected by a shield…a shield that he didn't create. "I think it's about time you stop blaming my son for all my mistakes."

"Rose …" He watched as Mina's muscles flared up. "Yet another illusion you made, didn't you!"

"And you never learn, don't you!" He watched as his mom dropped the shield, and countered with a punch to the face so hard Mina was sent flying through one of the crystal islands. "That won't keep her for long. Take your sister and go, I'll hold her and Jasper off."

"Kinda too late for that!" Star shouted as she went running in the opposite direction, Jasper following along.

"Damn it! I'll.." He started to run off.

"Rose!!."  Mina was never going to stop going after him. If he went with Star to Mom and Eclipsa, they'd be in danger.

There was only one option here. "…Mom…would you like to take down a three hundred year old psycho maniac with me?"

"You sure you want to deal with another one of my mistakes?" She asked, adding some spikes to her arsenal of constantly increasing shields.

"I'm going to be dealing with your mistakes no matter what happens…but for once we'll be able to fix one of them together."
