Chapter 9: Itadori Yuuji Likes Cup Ramen
I'm also occasionally chilling in JaxWolf4's (Author of Nah, I'd Adapt) Discord Server. It's a chaotic lobotomy mess. Not for the faint of heart.

-Story Start-
Yuuji greeted his neighbor with good cheer, "Itadori Yuuji from Class 1-D! Nice to meet you!"
"I would shake your hand but..." He waved the packaged TV around.
The boy before Yuuji nodded, a smug smirk on his expression, "Putting those 100,000 Points to good use I see." His tone was subtly condescending.
A subtle condescension that flew right past Yuuji.
Hell, it made him even more jovial.
"Yeah! This school's way cooler than I ever imagined! I mean... I got a great deal on this TV!" Yuuji replied excitedly.
The boy hummed, as he added an observation, not losing his smirk.
He leaned off the wall, approaching Yuuji with a casual stroll.
Reaching within arm's length of the pink-haired Yuuji, his eyes locked with Yuuji's own, "You don't look like you need help with that." The boy's tone was still condescending, only with a hint of intimidation mixed in.
An intimidation tactic that was lost to Yuuji.
Note: Itadori Yuuji has an affinity with delinquents.
Yuuji's eyes lowered to the held package, shaking his head, "Nah, I'm all good. Thanks for the offer...?"
"Ryuen. Ryuen Kakeru." A sadistic smirk took hold of the now-named Ryuen's expression, as he extended his hand for a handshake.
Despite the sadistic smirk, Ryuen's eyes were narrowed and his gaze appraising.
Yuuji groaned, "You're making this awkward for me dude..."
Sighing, Yuuji relented and effortlessly shifted the package he held with a two-handed grip into a single-handed one, giving Ryuen a firm handshake.
Ryuen's eyes widened momentarily, as his smirk widened in a similar yet excited fashion at Yuuji's seemingly minor actions.
Wordlessly, Ryuen turned around and walked back to his dorm room, opening the door and closing without saying goodbye.
...Or anything else of substance really.
Raising his eyebrow at the strangeness of the interaction, Yuuji shrugged it off, figuring he would learn more about his mysterious neighbor later.
The door to his room was still open, Yuuji entered with the packaged TV in hand, closing the door behind him with a creak.
He looked around, taking in his new surroundings.
Then, he froze before he could even take another step forward and mull about his abode.
A dire realization took hold of his entire being.
"Wait a second... He didn't tell me which Class he's from!" He exclaimed aloud, his words echoing in his relatively small room.
Note: Evidently, that is not a realization of dire importance.
-------------------------------
Gently placing the packaged TV beside the door, Yuuji walked further into his room to completely take in his new abode for the next three years.
Next three years if Aoi's exaggerations and far-reaching theories prove false.
It is still making Yuuji feel slightly uneasy.
Now with the anchoring figure of Aoi gone, the Fever Dream of actually being accepted into this prestigious High School hit Yuuji like a truck.
'I mean, why would this school even accept me? My only redeeming quality is that I'm pretty good at sports.' Yuuji somberly remarked, a thin line on his face as he entered the bedroom/living room.
Shaking his head to focus, Yuuji did what he did best:
He took a deep, calming breath before psyching himself up, "Don't think about it! Bad thoughts go away!" He slapped himself lightly on the cheeks, focusing his mind on the positives.
...
With the bad thoughts disappearing into the recesses of Yuuji's psyche in the meantime, the prior curious and beaming smile returned.
His eyes scanned his abode in appraisal noting the features:
A large bed that takes up a quarter of the Living Room/Bed Room.
The luggage that held all his personal belongings for the next three years.
An empty desk and chair, as well as a large piece of empty wooden furniture, with space for placing many books/furniture or even decorative items.
A glass door that leads to a small balcony.
And finally, a tiny kitchen area.
Complete with two stoves, a tiny fridge, and not a hint of cutlery or other kitchen equipment.
Now, don't get Yuuji wrong.
He's more than impressed by what he's gotten.
But he couldn't help but note the obvious.
"Kinda lifeless." He muttered lightly.
And it was with that observation that Yuuji resolved to resolve that matter.
"First the TV, then the posters." He stated with unbridled resolve.
Just like that, Yuuji got to work.
-------------------------------
The evening sky, painted in hues of red and orange, was always a sight to behold.
Amid the metropolitan landscape, this stunning view was a constant for the Elite Students.
It always offered a sense of wonder and certainty.
A blessing to both the anxious and excited 1st Year students as they embarked on their academic pursuits, both far and near to home.
"What took you so long to check out the gym, bro? I thought I'd be late, I had to beg the stingy receptionist lady to supply me the two last screws I was missing." Yuuji questioned on the paved road, as he and Aoi headed to the convenience store.
Aoi questioned, "You were missing screws? How so?"
Yuuji groaned in slight annoyance, ruffling his own hair, "I don't know, they either forgot or it's some poor packaging... It should've come with the borrowed installation set."
Aoi hummed, "We shall take care of it when we return the tools. As for your question, brother. You need not worry, I have managed a proper inspection of the Gym."
Yuuji's eyes narrowed in seriousness, "And the verdict?"
Aoi nodded in profound wisdom, flashing Yuuji a dumb grin alongside a thumbs-up, "It is satisfactory."
"Nice~"

Narrator's Log:
Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School.
Day Two.
Class 1-D.
Modern Japanese History Lesson under the tutelage of Chabashira Sae.
Things are looking absolutely grim for Class 1-D...
Girls giggling at their phones, lacking all subtlety in the blatant usage.
Their eyes dart to the figure of Ike who was picking his nose, blissfully unaware of the character assassination and humiliation he's experiencing in the Gyaru Girl Chatgroup (Name Subject To Change).
Sudo Ken snoring like a siren.
Friendless loners looking out the window beside their seats.
Kushida conversing uncaringly with her surrounding friends:
"Yeah! I got Honami-chan's phone number yesterday! I'd love to connect you two!" She exclaimed with kind enthusiasm.
Items and otherwise being handed out without care:
"Excuse me, Itadori-san." An annoyed tone and a pat on the half-asleep Yuuji's left caught his attention.
Blinking, Yuuji muttered, his expression surprised at his silent neighbor reaching out to him, "Oh, Yukimura-san. Whatcha need?"
Yukimura did little to mask his annoyance as he extended his arm, holding a handful of manga, "Take this, Sotomura-san wanted to pass this to you."
A big smile formed on Yuuji's face as he took the manga without hesitation, "Niceeee~ Thank you! Yukimura-san!"
At the innocent gratitude, Yukimura couldn't help but let his annoyed expression twist into an awkward albeit slightly embarrassed frown.
An embarrassment stemmed from noticing his unfitting attitude in contrast to Yuuji's.
"N-No problem." He replied dismissively, turning his head and returning to his silence.
Thus, Yuuji's eyes lowered to the fine literature within his hands.
Of course, not leaving out his fellow connoisseur.
"Here, Aoi." He handed out a copy.
"Many thanks, my friend." Aoi thanked, a pleased smile on his face.
As one could see, it was an absolutely chaotic and noisy mess.
A mess Chabashira Sae seemed unkeen to set straight.
That is, until it was time to make an announcement.
Her tone noticeably shifted, ceasing the chatter in the class and not letting Yuuji finish the first chapter of the manga much to his dismay.
"I will remind those who have not taken a read of the timetable and curriculum." She paused, glaring apathetically at the students of 1-D.
"A Club fair is taking place in the next hour in the Gymnasium. If you are interested in joining a club. That is your chance, that will be all." And with that note, she left the students to their devices, her heeled steps echoing in the silent classroom.
Of course, the silence lasted but a moment, as the chatter returned with twice its former glory.
Teacher gone and all.
"That's right... What club are we joining this time, Aoi?" Yuuji mumbled in curiosity.
"Nothing boring." Aoi asserted with folded arms.
