Chapter 11: The Forbidden Confession
**""**
Adam opened the glass door and stepped into a space that the mind could not describe...
No ground, no sky, no walls. Only a gray light pulsing with a slow rhythm, as if it were a dying heart.
He stood in the middle, turning right and left, finding no way out.
Suddenly, a 3D image appeared, composed of light and dust:
His grandmother.
But she wasn't looking at him; she was speaking to another being... whose shadow was the only thing visible.
"I can't bear this anymore," the grandmother said.
"Every time I return, I feel something inside me dying... but if I don't, they will reach Earth."
The creature responded:
"You are the only one who chose to open the gate."
"I thought I was protecting my family, not creating another catastrophe..."
A pause, and then, in a whisper:
"If I die... I want my grandson to know the truth."
At that moment, Adam froze. Laboubo whispered:
"This is not just a memory... It's a will."
Then, a map appeared above him, a map of light, showing a point in Nimora called:
**"The Origin"**.
Laboubo spoke in a trembling voice:
"The Origin... It's the place where everything began.
It's also the place... where the embodied shadow resides."
Adam gasped.
"The embodied shadow?"
"Yes... It's not just a monster.
It's a being born from the first lie ever told in Nimora.
And it grows stronger every time humans lose faith in truth."
Adam sank to his knees. He placed his head in his hands.
"All of this is beyond me… My grandmother sacrificed, and I can barely understand who I am.
Why not just go back... why not leave all of this behind?"
A pause. Then he murmured:
"I want to surrender..."
The world fell silent. Even Laboubo didn't utter a word.
Then, from the depths of the gray space, his grandmother's voice emerged... not from a memory, but directly, alive:
"Adam... don't continue what I started just because I did.
But don't run away just because you're afraid.
Strength is not inherited, it's earned in the moment you choose to continue, despite everything."
Adam slowly lifted his head, his eyes burning with something new\... not enthusiasm, but determination.
"I won't run. But I won't deceive myself either.
I will continue... with uncertain steps, not as a hero."
Laboubo nodded with emotion:
"That's enough, Adam… This is the true beginning of the journey."
