Billionaire's hired Nanny

Chapter 3: Interview

There was something Annabelle truly hated and that was standing in the streets and waiting for a taxi to wind up like a chariot.

In Spring Town, taxi's were very very hard to come by and Annabelle hated this. She couldn't go with her bike because of her outfit and now this!

In these kind of times, this was when Annabelle who rarely prayed would start praying like a fired up Pastor. She looked at her watch and her worries doubled.

Yes, she had planned to ruin the interview but she wanted to do it in style.

"Fûck!" She groaned in frustration.

The ever merciful God heard her prayers and an empty taxi stopped right in front of her. Annabelle earnestly thanked her Maker as she jumped in, the taxi drove off.

~ LLOYD'S MANSION ~

Mrs. Yuri was a woman in her fifties and also the Lloyd's Family caretaker, she was mute and communicated in sign language or using the voice note were she would type whatever she needed to say and then the phone would verbally interpret it to it's listener. She was also Japanese.

Dressed in her black pleated skirt and a white long sleeved top, Mrs. Yuri stood by the door with a smile on her face as she watched Annabelle approach.

The gates opened when she identified herself and her purpose for being here. She smiled at the guard as he opened the gate to usher her in and the guard blushed in embarrassment.

Annabelle giggled. Works Everytime. She thought inwardly and walked on.

She gotta admit, this place was beautiful, it was like walking into a palace. Even she had to be impressed by this.

She saw Mrs. Yuri and walked faster to meet her, she bowed as she said a good morning. Mrs. Yuri also did the same.

"My name is Annabelle, I'm here for the interview." Annabelle introduced herself.

Mrs. Yuri nodded and did a sign gesture.

(Did you find it hard to get here?)

Annabelle blinked when she saw this, realisation dawned on her that Mrs. Yuri could be mute.

She did a sign gesture too, smiling slightly as she did. Her's was a bit rusty cause it's been long she communicated with someone who was mute.

(It was much easier to locate, I could see the Mansion from a distance)

Mrs. Yuri smiled brightly this time, it was so infections that Annabelle smiled too.

(The Young master's waiting, please come in).

Mrs. Yuri opened the door to the Mansion and ushered Annabelle in. Annabelle took in a deep breath then walked in.

It was even more pretty inside than outside. So magnificent and full of pure energy, Annabelle could almost worship the very ground she was walking on cause the sound when her heels came in contact with the marble floor sounded like beautiful rhythm to her ears.

Annabelle couldn't stop gaping until when she felt a tap on her shoulder and she turned to Mrs. Yuri who smiled at her.

(Please wait a minute while I tell the Young master of your arrival)

Annabelle nodded and Mrs. Yuri walked away.

"Okay, not bad." Annabelle mumbled as she observed the interior and it's design.

"Pure taste of art." She complimented the big framed picture which hung beautifully on the wall

"I know right, I picked it up myself." A sweet voice came and Annabelle turned to see a young boy staring at her, his brown eyes glowing as though he was excited.

Annabelle blinked. The Young master is a kid?!

"Nice to meet you pretty lady, I'm Atlas Lloyd and I will be your interviewer for today." Atlas introduced himself and Annabelle's eyes widened in confusion.

Lloyd?!! As in the Lloyd Family? The one who was in TV few days ago?! The Lloyd Family who's currently everywhere on social media?!

That Lloyd Family!!

At first, Annabelle seemed to forget where she was, she just froze on the spot like an antelope caught in headlights.

Wait a minute..... What's going on here?

"You seem to be confused." Atlas spoke the obvious and Annabelle snapped out of her trance.

She searched her bag and pulled up a paper which had the address on it.

"This is ...."

"100 Clover Estate, yes, you are in the right place." Atlas interrupted.

Annabelle's eyes widened even more. How did she wound up her and she didn't.....

Then she remembered, she remembered clearly who was behind this.

That darn Torreto!! He was the one who had found the job for her and instructed her what to do. All Annabelle had in mind was to mess up the interview so she didn't bother to look into any details. Besides, Torreto never said anything about working for the Lloyd Family.

Atlas sat down, ready to be amused.

Atlas Lloyd. Five years old but with a mind as sharp as a samurai's sword. In his defense, he had the body of a five year old kid but his soul and mind wasn't. He was a really smart kid and could swiftly access any situation and turn it to his advantage. Just like his father Duncan, Atlas had a twisted sense of humor.

He watched quietly as Annabelle pulled up different kinds of facial expression. Anger, confusion, anger again, something that looked like self depreciation and then the look to murder someone.

That was new. He thought.

"If you're done, please sit so we could start the interview. I've got a date to attend to." Atlas called her attention and she glared at him but then her face softened when she saw his innocent face.

It wasn't right to glare at the kid, she was gonna handle this like an adult; crash the interview and make Torreto suffer for doing this to her.

She smiled and sat down, all her different facial expression was now replaced with the most prettiest smile, enough to knock down a hulk.

Atlas's eyes dilated when he saw this before returning back to it's normal straightforward gaze.

He picked up the resumè and flicked through it, looking like a professional business man.

"Annabelle Dobbs, aged 26..."

His brown eyes looked up at her. "No job experience." The words came like an arrow shot to her stomach.

She swallowed hardly, mentally pulling out the arrow.

"How are you twenty-six and with no job experience?" Atlas asked sheepishly

Another bigger arrow shot straight to her heart this time and her composure crumbled immediately.

This kid! Annabelle looked at him, she must have underestimated him but looking at the smug look tinged with smartness, Annabelle knew she was up against a stronger foe.

She sat up straight and crossed her one delicate leg against the other looking like an outright proclaimed lady.

Atlas smiled at this. "Shall we begin then?"

Annabelle nodded, smiling too.

"At your signal..... Young Master."
