Bleach: Shattered Throne-The Last Hollow

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: A True Battle

Hordes and Hordes of hollows swarmed the battlefield as the once 1v1 had turned into all-out Chaos. Sensing the magnitude of this battle, thousands of hollows jumped in and joined the fray at the chance to devour enough to evolve. The area was filled with around 100,000 hollows of a blood bath never seen in hollow history; even the hollow wars were nothing compared to this battle. Thousands of hollows had already died, and their kin had devoured many more. The dark sky began to rain black liquid, and it was as if Hueco Mundo was crying out in this bloodshed.

Ichigo walked forth in the rain toward the place Orihime had been kept. He effortlessly killed anyone standing in his way. Ocuil enjoyed this sight, as his "Eyes of truth" could discern and see all that was true. Ocuil was overjoyed and prepared for Ichigo's arrival, as the present he would give him would haunt Ichigo forever.

Serpinta continued the Cero barrage on the battlefield toward all the incoming groups of hollows and crowded areas. Sombra and her elite team were focused on killing Adjuchas and the leaders of any groups joining the fray. Surprisingly, Ichigo troops held up well, even though outnumbered, until the hordes of large and medium groups disrupted everything. As a defensive measure, Ichigo's troops formed a circle as they became surrounded by hollows.

From every side, wave after wave of hollows charged into the lines, only to get decimated while advancing, yet Ichigo's troop numbers dwindled. The chaos across the battlefield would get even better when the rumbling finally got close enough for the hollows to pay attention.

A massive stampede of Tyrant Class Hollows was charging towards the battlefield alarmingly. The worst part was that the Los Noches ruins were one-sided, so you could only enter one way and exist through the other. The problem realization came too late as Tyrant class Hollow bashed into the back of the massive battlefield, causing many hollows to get stomped, eaten, squashed, and even ripped apart. (Imagine massive Elephant-Lions or Scorpion-Centipedes or even Vulture-Dragons that are several stories tall rampaging across a battlefield as hollows can have fascinating forms)

The hollows, understanding the situation had gone from bad to worse, tried to run, but they only trampled on each other, making no progress toward escape. Several of the hollow groups began fighting back against the wave of Tyrants that swept through the battlefield, as escape seemed unlikely, and the only way to survive was to fight.

Several Hours Later

Ichigo walked through a trail of bodies stretching as far as the eye could see and wondered why it had to come to this. Why did everyone have to die for this? This failure could not even be called a Pyrrhic victory; it could only be called a loss for everyone. Ichigo felt true sadness to the depths of his core, as all had died for what felt like nothing. Yet, Ichigo knew very few of them, as he deemed them unworthy of interest.

The battle intensified as casualties mounted on every side. Over 86,000 Hollows had already died, and over 50 Tyrant Class hollows had also perished. This battle was getting more gruesome as time went on. Hollow, after Hollow, slowly became increasingly frenzied, leading to betrayals and the killing of allies and enemies.

Ichigo's steps echoed loudly as he approached the last door between him and his beloved. Everything had come to this moment. Ichigo's mind was filled with chaos as he lunged forward, shattering the door. What he saw next shattered his heart into pieces.
