The room remained still, yet every gaze was fixed on Moyu, waiting for his answer. He had anticipated this, but standing at the center of attention, he still felt cornered.

"…What exactly does the Captain wish to know?" he asked carefully. "The report should've explained most of it."

Yamamoto Genryūsai's stern eyes bore into him, silent for a long moment before finally speaking.

"The Menos Grande—its specific form, strength, and… your connection to it. I want the details of your battle."

There was something else in that voice, a weight Moyu couldn't identify. He hesitated briefly, then nodded.

"It was an Adjuchas-class Hollow," he began. "Feral, no sense of logic—just raw instinct. Its form was grotesque, half-human, half-beast, with a Hollow hole in the chest. From what I gauged in battle, its power exceeded that of a vice-captain."

Yamamoto's stare sharpened. "Then you're saying your current strength surpasses a vice-captain's."

Moyu met his eyes squarely. "With all due respect, Captain... I was lucky. The Hollow was already wounded when I arrived, possibly by Captain Unohana. I only finished the job."

But before he could shift the attention away, Unohana spoke gently from the side.

"There's no need to be modest, Moyu. I chased it, but never wounded it. What you did—you did alone."

The temperature in the room spiked.

Moyu tensed slightly, noticing the sweat beading at his temple. Even Byakuya, seated calmly nearby, showed subtle signs of discomfort.

It wasn't the room—it was Yamamoto himself.

Only now did Moyu begin to grasp the full depth of the power seated across from him.

The Sword Ghost of Soul Society was no title of honor. It was a warning.

"There's no sense in keeping secrets anymore," Ginrei Kuchiki said with a soft sigh. "The First Division received your file three days ago. What surprises me is how well you hid this, even within the Kuchiki estate. You always downplayed your ability. When I trained you, I knew your talent was rare, but not… this."

Moyu gave a helpless shrug. "It couldn't be helped."

He had planned it that way from the start—keep his true potential under wraps until necessary.

"What exactly am I here for?" he asked, cutting through the tension.

"It concerns your next assignment," Ginrei replied. "Both the Fourth Division and the Kuchiki clan have a stake in this."

"I have no objection," Byakuya said quietly.

"Nor do I," Unohana added with a nod.

Moyu's brow furrowed. "You're all in agreement? That's suspicious."

Yamamoto's cough cut through the room. Instantly, the air settled.

"Third Seat Moyu," the Captain-Commander said firmly, "understand that you are not here to be punished. Soul Society does not reprimand Shinigami for choosing when or how to reveal their strength. That's their own prerogative."

Moyu nodded slowly. He knew this already. Even if Yamamoto had wanted to take disciplinary action, doing so against a direct heir of the Kuchiki clan would have caused political uproar. The case of Koga Kuchiki centuries ago proved that much.

Besides, Moyu hadn't violated protocol. If anything, he'd distinguished himself.

"However," Yamamoto continued, "now that your strength is exposed, remaining in the Fourth Division would be a waste. You understand that, don't you?"

Moyu exhaled quietly. So this was it.

"I suspected as much…"

"Given the expectations of your family," Yamamoto said, "and Captain Unohana's investment in your growth… the Central 46 and I have agreed on a new assignment."

The room went quiet.

"You'll be deployed—" Yamamoto's voice grew resolute, "—to the Human World."
