Chapter 23: Chapter 19: Honkai Impact - Mission Failed Successfully
As Rame launched himself at Sirin to slash off her head with Unbra, Welt and Lilith were dealing with Benares. I was genuinely surprised because it seems that Benares had evolved and became a Viralopa Class Honkai Beast and a Pseudo-Herrscher. It seems the butterfly effect of my presence in this world has caused her to het a significant power up.
Welt and Lilith had gone elsewhere for their battle so i can deal with Sirin alone.
Sirin's eyes narrowed as she saw the blade coming for her, she swiftly raised her hand and a barrier of Honkai energy formed around her body, blocking the attack.
But Umbra had a new feature i had merged into it woth the Horadric Cube…
*Crack* *Crack*
It can bypass defences now since i merged the sniper Skullsmasher from the system store into it. And Skullsmasher can bypass defensive barriers.
*Shatter*
The barrier of Honkai energy around Sirin's body fractured and exploded into a myriad of crystalline shards as Umbra sliced through it with ease, the Skullsmasher's property of bypassing defenses living up to its name. The blade continued its arc, aiming straight for Sirin's neck.
*Slash*
Sirin head was seperated from her body and flew through the air.
But Raine wasn't finished as her continued to slash and destry every piece of Sirin's body.
Arms, legs, heart, torso, head…not a single part was left unharmed as he sliced it into thousands of pieces and used Calamity to reduce it to nothing more than bloody mist.
He knew that this won't keep Sirin dead for long since she has the Gem of Serenity's powers of Life and Death Manipulation. So long as the "God" is supplying Honkwi Energy to her directly she can't die which is why he had no problems killing Sirin and going all out.
In addition to Life and Death Manipulation she had the ability to control Fire, Wind, Thunder/Electromagnetism and Space/Dimensions.
While Sirin was in this temporary "Death State" i reqched into my Inventory and took out a small glass vial with what looked like molten Gold in it.
This was what i bought for $200,000,000,000, it was Felix Felisis from the Harry Potter universe.
I drabk the liquid and it felt blissful.
This potion would allow any and all endeavours for the user to succeed within the span of one hour. However it isnt godly, if something is possible for the user to accomplish, it merely guarantees 100% success rate. If i wanted to kill the Will of Konkai, that would be impossible since it would be a 0% success rate to accomplish in one hour before the potion wears off.
However, defeating Sirin is within my power and with this potion it's a guaranteed victory whilst also guaranteed that i can convince Sirin toblet go off her anger and hate to Humanity and move on.
As the potion's effect took hold, I felt a surge of confidence and power. The air around me grew dense with anticipation, and I knew that in this moment, I could achieve anything I set my mind to.
Sirin's eyes snapped open, her body rapidly regenerating from the destruction I had wrought. She looked at me, her expression a mix of surprise and anger. "Did you can beat me with such a trivial trick?" she sneered, her voice echoing with the power of the Honkai.
Sirin's eyes widened with each of your lethal strikes, her regeneration struggling to keep up with the relentlessness of your assault. The power of the Felix Felicis, seems to be working in your favor as you anticipate and counter her every move. Each time she revives, you are there, ready to deliver another crushing blow with Umbra. Her Honkai abilities, once so terrifying, now seem almost predictable under your onslaught. Despite her immense power, she can't find an opening to land a significant hit on you. The tension is palpable as she grows more and more desperate, her once-lazy demeanor replaced with a furious determination to end you.
"You think you can toy with me like this?!" she screams, her voice a cacophony of rage and disbelief. Her eyes burn with a fiery intensity that seems to match the very essence of the Honkai. Her wings unfurl with a deafening boom, and she charges at you with the speed of a bullet, her fists ablaze with destructive energy.
You, however, remain unfazed. With the power of the potion coursing through your veins, you dodge with an ease that seems almost supernatural. "Sirin, don't you get it? You're just a pawn in someone else's game. A tool for their amusement," you shout back at her, your voice resonating with conviction.
Sirin's charge is met with a swift sidestep, and as she passes, you deliver a devastating kick to her torso, sending her spiraling into the air. She crashes to the ground, and before she can recover, you're already there, Umbra pointed at her chest.
"I am no one's pawn!" she roars, her body shaking with rage. The ground beneath you trembles as she summons a maelstrom of Honkai energy and condenses it into a large cosmic-space-thunderstorm ready to unleash it upon you.
You smirk, raising Calamity. "We'll see about that," you say, and pull the trigger.
The cosmic storm of Honkai energy is suddenly engulfed by a beam of pure, destructive power. The sound of the shot echoes through the chamber as the bullet leaves the gun, traveling at a speed that seems to defy the laws of physics. It pierces through the center of the storm, and with a brilliant flash, the tempest dissipates into nothingness.
Sirin's eyes widen in shock as she watches her most powerful attack being negated with such ease. For a moment, she is at a loss for words, staring at you in disbelief. Then, with a snarl, she summons another barrage of Honkai energy, this time targeting the very fabric of reality itself, attempting to rip it apart to swallow you whole.
But your reflexes are sharper than ever, and you dance around the incoming waves of energy, your blade and gun moving in a blur as you counter her every move. "Is this all you've got?" you taunt, your voice filled with the confidence that comes from knowing victory is within your grasp.
Sirin's rage only grows, her power swelling until the very air crackles with the intensity of it. "You dare to mock me?" she screams, and the ground beneath you splits open as she summons a fissure of Honkai energy, aiming to swallow you whole.
The ground beneath Sirin and Raime cracks open, and a pillar of Honkai energy rises, swirling with a mix of anger and power. As the energy recedes, she had failed to notice that a feather had lightly grazed her leg, Sirin finds herself in a serene, untouched space that she recognizes as her childhood bedroom.
The room is filled with a warm, golden light, and the scent of home-cooked breakfast wafts up from downstairs. Her mother's gentle voice, one she had thought lost to her, calls out to her, inviting her to come downstairs. Confusion and disbelief wash over her as she takes in the scene. She is dressed in simple clothes, and Raime is there, looking at her with an unreadable expression. She raises her hand to strike at him, only to be met with a firm grip from her mother, who appears behind her, a look of disappointment in her eyes. "Sirin, is that any way to treat your father?" Her mother's words cut through the haze of anger and power, leaving her frozen in place.
"M-mother?" she stammers, unable to fully comprehend the sight before her. Her mother's touch is warm and real, unlike the cold, harsh reality she had been living in. "What is this? Some trick?" she snarls, her gaze flitting between Raime and her mother, searching for some sign of deceit.
"No trick, Sirin," your mother says softly, her eyes filled with a sadness that seems to pierce through the layers of rage and bitterness that have accumulated in Sirin's soul. "This is a chance for you to remember who you truly are. To see the world through eyes unclouded by hate and anger."
"Y-you! How can do this! To trick me like this into thinking she's still alive! Ill kill you!" Sirin shouted at Rainee as tears stremed down her cheeks many spears of spatial energy materialised around her ready to attack him.
"Honestly, you have the power of the Gem of Serenity but instead of using it to revive your mother and friends you choose to obey this 'God' of yours. Tell me Sirin, who had allowed you more freedom in your own choices since you became a Herrscher to before that? No one. Shicksal held you captive and experimented on you while 'God' only saved you and gave you power so you can serve it and destroy Humanity."
Your words cut through the air like a knife, each syllable resonating with truth that she had been trying to ignore. Her mother's presence, the warmth of the room, and the scent of home brought a flood of memories she had buried deep within her. The pain of loss, the fear of abandonment, and the anger at the world for not understanding her. But amidst it all, the warm grip of her mother's hand on her shoulder brought her back to reality.
"I..i can bring her back?" Sirin asked in a neutral low voice.
"You could with my help. In this world no one has true souls so it's difficult to resurrect a person. But it isn't impossible. But ask yourself this Sirin. Your mother…could have been one of the many millions uou already killed when you sent those meteors down on Earth a fee days ago. What would she think, she wants you to be happy and live a good life. I cant claim to know what she wants for you, only you knew the type of person she is, and the one next to you now is made from your memories of her, so she is as real as tour mother as you could possibly get to."
Sirin's hand trembled as she lowered the spears of spatial energy, her eyes never leaving her mother. The reality of her situation crashed down upon her like a ton of bricks. The weight of her actions, the lives she had taken, and the lives she could potentially save if she were to abandon her destructive path.
"But...what about 'God'?" she whispered, the anger in her voice replaced with doubt. "It promised me power and vengeance. It said that by following its will, I could purge the world of the scum that took everything from me."
"Honestly, the only person responsible is Otto Apocalypse, the leader of Shicksal. The reason he did all this was because he has been searching for a way froom more than 500 years to resurrect his lover Kallen Kaslana. And he is ruthless and would kill anyone and everyone, besides you already killed the scientists that experimented on your friends and you. I can very easily help you kill Otto as uour final way to get closure."
Sirin looked at her mother, then to Raime with a mix of hope and anger, her eyes searched for any hint of deceit but all she saw was genuine concern and care. The anger slowly drained from her eyes and she slumped to her knees, the weight of her guilt and doubt crushing her.
"Mother...I...I don't know what to do anymore," she confessed, her voice cracking as she spoke. Her mother's ghostly figure bent down and wrapped her arms around her, her warmth seeping into Sirin's soul like a balm to a wound. "You're right," she murmured. "I...I don't know what I'm fighting for anymore."
I decided that I'd let Sirin enjoy the time with her 'mother' for a while longer. I had created this artificial world using the Divine Key Fenghuang Down, so I simply accelerated the time spent inside this illusion world so she can spend as long as necessary so she can find closure.
And with that…Mission Failed Successfully!
