The System once more was reminding me of these Skills… I suppose I should do something with them now that I think about it. They’re the "inherited" skills from my divine beasts and my guardians, so they’re fairly decently strong at Level 100.

If they’re really good and I want their effects, I could keep them and evolve them to improve their power even further, or I could use them as fusion ingredients to create a different, separate Skill Fusion.

Seeing how half of these can’t even be equipped due to the skill slot limitations, it’s always better to combine rather than fuse…

Well, I’ll leave this for later.

Anyways, the moment Titania entered her castle and hugged me while in tears, I felt a bit taken aback, and she reminded me of her baby form a bit… I guess that even after all these years, the little Titania remains within her heart, hidden within her adult form.

Eventually, as she finally calmed down, I greeted everyone else and thanked them for all their help. I instantly attended those who were still wounded, healing them instantly. Some people that had also recently died were healed enough that I managed to revive them while their souls were still close to their bodies.

I don’t think I could do this outside of this forest, its entire atmospheric density and magic density has changed, it seems as if souls don’t simply disappear instantly anymore. Maybe this led to such miraculous new developments.

Nonetheless, I offered them a meal and they accepted, although… I also had to tell them about Erebus before we even got to that point.

"Anyways, I’m sure most of you have already seen him, but this is Erebus," I said, pointing at the black fairy. "Maybe most of you don’t remember such a name. But this is the true name of the Demon King of Miasma."

"E-Eh?!"

"Wait, what?!"

"T-The Demon King of Miasma?"

"That can’t be true, didn’t he die?"

"He’s a fairy now? that’s simply… not possible! Right?"

"Lady Planta, are you joking with us?"

Several inhabitants of the forest reacted in such ways. The Ents couldn’t believe it, the fairies were questioning me, the gnomes were also rather annoyed, and the brownies remained flabbergasted. Meanwhile the squirrel kin talked with one another with a low tone of voice, while I also heard the Myconid discussing things between each other.

"Yes, I’m not joking," I said. "Erebus, greet them."

Erebus flew towards them, floating right in front of them with a poker face. His crimson eyes, black wings and hair, his pale skin and his horns gave him away immediately as someone that wasn’t a fairy.

"Yes, I am Erebus," he nodded. "Even though I’ve been reincarnated in this form thanks to Master Planta’s abilities, I am still the Demon King of Miasma."

"B-But that’s just simply impossible…"

"How can that be true?!"

"I’ve never seen a black winged fairy before though…"

"Even less one with demonic horns and red eyes like that!"

"A-And that black hair, skin as pale as snow… it is as if he were dead."

Most fairies were very colorful, and with skin very vividly colored as well, none of them were pale skinned either. Most of them had a very strong rose-colored skin, brown, or toasty skin, most were even tanned.

But that was beside the point.

"My appearance is already very different than all of you because I am indeed not a true fairy," he said. "My body has been reborn as a sort of fairies, a subspecies perhaps. Because I was reborn through Yggdrasil, the species that birthed you fairies."

Then, he waved his little hands, conjuring gigantic spheres of miasmic darkness, and condensed them into his hands, creating a monstrous creation with tentacles and everything.

"GRYYAAEEGH!"

The monstrous creature quickly scared everyone that wasn’t my friends or family, the inhabitants really disliked miasmic beings.

"I-It’s really him?!"

"His presence…!"

"This can’t be happening…"

"Why has Lady Planta allied with a monstrous Demon King?!"

Many were shaken, some of them were angry at me too, I couldn’t blame them for that. In fact, I would have found it weird they wouldn’t had gotten angry. They were completely justified for doing so.

"I’m sorry, but this is the decision I took after a lot of consideration," I said. "Erebus has now become something similar to my familiar. He will never harm you all ever again. And will work towards helping and protecting this forest like he did. Without his help, the forest would have been destroyed when the undead army attacked. Also, if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t had been able to revive the forest and fuse it with the primordial divine garden of life. It was thanks to his space-manipulating powers that I managed to get this done."

"T-That’s…"

"But this is…"

"Really?"

"Uh…"

"This is really strange."

"I know it’s strange…" Titania suddenly stepped into the stage, as she touched Erebus shoulders. "If you know my past already, you must already know how much I despise Erebus for everything he did to me, my mother, and my friends. Yet here I am. I am not cowering in fear, and I am not going to hate him… anymore. He has saved our forest, and I saw it with my very eyes. I don’t trust him, but I will trust Lady Planta’s faith on him."

"Lady Titania…"
