Break The Silence

Chapter 29: Chapter 29

Kyungmi walked down through the pair of stairs, approaching the greenroom with hesitant steps. A delightful smile appeared on her lips, as she saw Taehyung busy with Jimin.

Jimin had no smile on his face, but with Taehyung, he looked more at ease. For a moment he gazed at them, then she diverted her attention completely on Taehyung. He had never seen him joyful like he was at the moment. She quickly changed her soft expression, when Taehyung noticed her.

"Oh Kyungmi." Taehyung mumbled. "Jimin meet my friend, she helped us a lot during last few days, even she's the one who helped me to understand your painting." He explained, waited for Jimin's reaction.

Jimin paused for a moment, the rough lines now transformed into a beautiful landscape. He looked at Kyungmi, his mind suddenly recalled the few therapy sessions with her.

"Kyungmi." Jimin said in a low voice.

"Hello Jimin!" Kyungmi greeted. She walked closer to Jimin, but maintained a enough distance not to bother him. "Your drawing skills is good." She passed a compliment.

Jimin nodded lightly, "It's good," he repeated softly, his voice almost melodic. Then, without another glance, he shifted his focus back to his sketching, his pencil moving rhythmically over the paper.

Taehyung watched him for a moment, his face a mix of worry and affection, before standing up and heading for Kyungmi to follow him. They walked a few steps away, lowering their voices so as not to disturb Jimin.

"Did he tell you anything important?" Kyungmi asked, her tone filled with curiosity but laced with concern. Her brow furrowed as she leaned slightly closer.

Taehyung shook his head, a heavy sigh escaping his lips. "Nothing much, except he said he recognized me at the hospital," he admitted, his voice carrying a note of hopelessness.

He ran a hand through his hair, exhaling deeply. "He needs more time to open up about that night. I don't want to push him."

Kyungmi placed a comforting hand on his arm, her expression soft. "Don't worry. These things take time. He'll talk when he's ready." She gave him a small, encouraging smile before asking, "Anyway, how are you planning to deal with the hospital management and Dr. Lee?"

Taehyung's expression hardened slightly. "I sent them an official authority notice. If Dr. Lee signs it without causing trouble, then everything should be resolved easily," he replied in a calm but firm tone.

"And if he doesn't sign the papers?" Kyungmi asked, her voice tinged with concern as she searched his face for answers.

Taehyung let out another heavy sigh, his shoulders sagging slightly. "Then I'll have to go with Plan B," he said, his voice low but steady.

Kyungmi tilted her head, her curiosity sparking again. "What's Plan B?"

Taehyung glanced back at Jimin, his eyes softening as he watched the Jimin immersed in his sketching, a rare moment of peace on his face. Then he turned back to Kyungmi, his gaze sharpening. "Yeosan Hospital has been using illegal drugs on patients, Morphine being one of them. I'll use that as a threatif I have to."

Kyungmi's eyes widened slightly in surprise before a smirk tugged at her lips. "Wow. That's bold, but honestly, it's a smart plan," she said, her tone full of admiration. "You're not giving them much of a choice."

Taehyung's face suddenly darkened, his jaw tightening as his emotions surged. "This isn't about being smart," he said, his voice low and firm. "It's about protecting Jimin. I can't let him go back to that hell. I won't."

Kyungmi blinked at the intensity in his words, her expression softening. "You really care about him, don't you?" she said gently.

Taehyung nodded, his eyes glimmering with a mix of determination and pain. "He's been through so much. I'm not going to let anyone hurt him again. Not while I'm here."

Kyungmi carved a soft smile on her face. "You don't need to worry about anything, I believe things will go on our way." She assured.

Taehyung nodded, "Are you leaving?" He asked.

"I got a call from hospital, Dr. Lee asked me to meet him.? But I'll make sure to bring the priest by the night." She said.

" Alright then take care of you and tell me of you need my help." Taehyung said.

Kyungmi softly chuckled, she liked their small ordinary conversation.

"Kyungmi!" Taehyung made her stopped.

Kyungmi turned to look at him, her breath catching as his deep brown eyes met hers. The sunlight streaming through the window made his eyes shine, warm and golden like honey. They seemed to hold so many unspoken words, and it made her chest feel tight.

She couldn't help but notice how handsome he looked. The sunlight highlighted the sharp angles of his jaw, and his dark hair fell perfectly into place. Her heart thudded loudly in her chest, so loud she was sure he could hear it. Kyungmi liked the way he looked at her, like he wanted to say something but couldn't, and it made her stomach flutter.

Taehyung watched Kyungmi, his chest tightening with an unfamiliar ache. He felt a wave of guilt crash over him, realizing he hadn't properly thanked her for everything she'd done for him the night before. She had stayed by his side when he felt lost, offering her quiet strength and understanding.

Now, Taehyung couldn't stop the thought that he should have said more, done more. His hand twitched at his side, wanting to reach out and stop her, to tell her how much her presence had meant to him. "Thanks for everything, Thanks for last night, to helping me, to listening me when I had break down."

Kyungmi folded her arms, she leaned closer to him and carved a stunning smile on her face. "You owe me a favour Kim Taehyung." She said in a flirting tone.

Taehyung shrugged his broad shoulders, he widened his smile. "I'll do anything for you." He said.

Kyungmi softly chuckled, "Alright then I'll use this chance later." She said, turned back to leave.
