Chapter 19: The Blade and the Breakout
Smoke filled the broken refinery.
Alarms wailed. Red Ballas soldiers shouted orders—but they couldn't find Kelin in the chaos.
Until he appeared.
Standing tall in the center of the floor, bruised but burning with fury, Kelin had a steel blade pressed tightly to Commander Drax's throat.
Drax's own gun had been knocked from his hand, now lying far out of reach.
"Anyone takes a step," Kelin growled, "and your precious commander loses his head."
The room froze.
Guns aimed. Fingers on triggers. Eyes locked.
But Drax, swallowing hard, raised his hand slowly and shouted:
"Stand down! ALL OF YOU!"
The soldiers hesitated.
"I SAID STAND DOWN!"
One by one, the Ballas soldiers lowered their weapons, confused and enraged, but obeying their commander.
Kelin didn't waste another second.
From the shadows outside, Zade Kross roared into action.
The black van peeled out from cover, tires screeching like demons through hell.
VROOOM!!
The van skidded into the refinery entrance just as Kelin dragged Drax outside, blade still tight to his neck.
The rear doors flew open.
"Get in!" Zade yelled.
Kelin shoved Drax inside, jumped in after him, and slammed the door.
Lazer Eyes covered them from the sniper nest as Zade hit the gas.
"Hold tight, boys. We're flying now."
The Ballas didn't wait long.
The moment the van roared away, four armored SUVs and two bikes shot out from the refinery behind them—full pursuit mode.
The streets of San-Jamb exploded into a midnight car war.
Red headlights.
Gunfire in the dark.
Zade weaving through alleyways, drifting around corners, jumping sidewalks.
Inside the van, Kelin kept his blade to Drax's throat.
"Give me the location of Celin's cell. Now."
"You're making a mistake," Drax hissed.
"Kate will burn you all if I die."
"Then he better send flowers to your funeral," Kelin snapped back.
Lazer Eyes Covers From Above
From a hidden rooftop, Lazer Eyes activated a custom-built drone linked to his sniper scope.
He fired one shot—BOOM—taking out a pursuing Ballas bike.
"One down. Four to go," he said calmly.
Inside the Van – Drax Breaks
Finally, Drax gave in.
"Okay, okay! I'll give it to you!" he gasped, feeling the blade dig deeper.
"Celin's in Kate Prison, underground level six, cell 042. But you'll never get in. Not without a high-level key."
Kelin smirked.
"I'll take yours."
He ripped Drax's encrypted access badge from around his neck.
Zade turned to Kelin briefly.
"We've got a roadblock ahead."
"Then fly."
"Say less."
The van hit a ramp of broken concrete and launched into the air, flipping over a barricade of Ballas SUVs and landing in a burst of sparks on the other side.
CRASH—SCREEECH—BOOM!
Zade laughed like a madman.
"Told you I was the best."
