Chapter 13: Snippet-1: Naruto Fugaku SI FanFic:- Chapter 6

Chapter 6. Reality is my Bitch.

│1st Person POV of Uchiha Fugaku│

[The Land of Fire, Village Hidden in the Leaf (Konohagakure), Uchiha Clan Compound...]

Two weeks had passed since the devastating Kyuubi attack, and in that time, the village had made remarkable strides in rebuilding the damaged areas. The reconstruction efforts were progressing steadily, with visible signs of recovery emerging across Konoha.

Word reached the Fire Daimyo that Hiruzen had dispatched Jiraiya to locate and bring back Tsunade, who had since been chosen as the Fifth Hokage. Impressed by this development, the Daimyo reportedly wasted no time in providing substantial financial aid to support Konoha's recovery efforts.

Furthermore, leveraging his influence, he encouraged other nobles to contribute by mobilizing resources through their extensive merchant networks.

This influx of support had given the reconstruction efforts a much-needed boost, reinforcing both morale and the village's capacity to recover quickly from the tragedy.

Over these past two weeks, my plate has been overflowing with responsibilities. Between managing the Uchiha Clan, overseeing the Police Force, training Itachi and Shisui, and spending time with my family, there's hardly been a moment to catch my breath.

Surprisingly, the moments that brought me the most joy during this hectic time were those spent taking care of Sasuke. He's always so cheerful and lively, a stark contrast to most of the other babies in the Clan and the village.

The oppressive killing intent from the Kyuubi that engulfed the entire village that night seemed to have left its mark, especially on the youngest among us. Nearly every child under the age of three has been constantly fussy and crying incessantly since the attack, with only a few exceptions.

Thankfully, the situation has started to improve recently, but Sasuke's inextinguishable happiness throughout it all stands out even more because of it. It's as if the Kyuubi's Killing Intent didn't have any impact on him.

I can only attribute this to Sasuke being Indra's reincarnation.

However, the reason doesn't matter. I am just glad to see him happy.

At the moment, I was in the secret meeting room of the Naka Shrine, with only Mikoto by my side. A few moments before, we carefully scanned the surroundings to ensure the area around the shrine was completely deserted. What I was about to do required total secrecy, and I couldn't afford any chance of being discovered.

While inspecting the perimeter, I used my Fuinjutsu expertise to establish a barrier around the area. Though simple in its construction, the barrier's primary function was to alert me if it detected any emotional fluctuations from anyone inside other than people the user is consciously aware of.

This Fuinjutsu technique, known as Senshin Kekkai (Emotion-Sensing Barrier), was something I created by working together with Minato and Kushina before regaining my past life's memories. The idea had come to me suddenly one day, and with their help, I managed to bring it to life.

The barrier was invaluable, especially now. Even if someone as elusive as Zetsu tried to spy on us, I would be alerted immediately.

I must have subconsciously known the limitations on trying to outright create a barrier to block people; as there was someone like Obito, who would be able to easily bypass such a barrier undetected with his Kamui.

Once the barrier was in place, Mikoto and I entered the secret meeting room and stood at the center.

Taking a deep breath, I began, "Mikoto, you are skilled in using the Mystical Palm Jutsu for healing injuries and surgery. Your skill will be invaluable for the success of my experiment."

She nodded, her expression focused and resolute, "What exactly do you need me to do?"

I smiled as I unfurled a scroll I had prepared earlier. A puff of smoke erupted as the contents materialized. Inside were two glass containers filled with a liquid commonly used for organ preservation. Within one of the containers rested a pair of fully matured Sharingan. The other only had the preservation liquid and nothing else.

Seeing the contents, Mikoto gasped, "Are those what I think they are?"

"Yes," I confirmed, "These are indeed my father's eyes."

My Father, Uchiha Tajima, was one of the Elders of the Uchiha Clan when he was alive. He was younger than the other Elders and, in many ways, stood apart from them.

While the majority of the Clan Elders retired from active duty upon assuming their positions, my father did not. He remained an active Shinobi and even participated in the Third Ninja Great War as one of the Commanders to protect and guide our younger Clan Members on the battlefield.

However, just a year before the end of the war, he sustained a critical injury to his internal organs. No medics on the battlefield were skilled enough to help him recover.

After a night of constant suffering, he finally couldn't hold on any longer and passed away. In his last moments, he witnessed me awakening the Mangekyou Sharingan because of my grief, and knowing the side effects of using these eyes too much, he ordered me to preserve his pair of eyes so that if I someday lose my sight, he hoped that I would be able to see using his eyes.

This is a secret known only to Mikoto, as it is considered taboo for a Uchiha to take the eyes of another member of the Clan.

During the Warring States Era, a few jealous Uchiha spread the rumor that Uchiha Izuna didn't die from the injuries he suffered at Senju Tobirama's hands but was instead killed by his own elder brother, Uchiha Madara, who took his eyes to gain more power.

This almost caused a disaster in the Clan, however, before the situation could escalate, the Clan Elders at that time took action and forcibly suppressed the rumor. They also enforced a new law that no Uchiha could ever extract the eyes of another, as doing so would be seen as a betrayal of the bond shared between the Clan Members.

This law was not just a decree, but a deeply ingrained belief that was passed down to each new generation. This is why I took great care in hiding the truth from my father's eyes, as it was something that could cause significant unrest within the Clan if it were ever known.

Shaking off those lingering thoughts, I passed the glass container to Mikoto and instructed, "First, Mikoto, I need you to replace my eyes with my father's eyes."

For a brief moment, Mikoto's expression shifted to one of shock, and she stepped closer with urgency in her voice. "Did something happen to your eyes? Have you been secretly using your Mangekyou Sharingan ability without telling me? Wait! Don't move. Let me check your eyes."

Without waiting for my response, she raised her hands, already glowing with the green chakra of Mystical Palm Jutsu to examine my eyes. However, before she could proceed, I gently took hold of her wrists, stopping her.

Meeting her worried gaze with calm and steady eyes, I spoke firmly. "There's nothing wrong with my eyes, Mikoto. I just want you to replace my eyes with my father's eyes, and then, store my eyes in this empty container."

I motioned to the empty glass container.

Noticing the doubt still lingering in her eyes, I gently added, "During the procedure, you can examine the condition of my eyes and document your findings. We'll need those details for future reference."

She held my gaze for a few moments before finally giving me a reluctant rod.

I carefully lay down on the floor, ensuring I was comfortable and still, and waited patiently for Mikoto to start the eye replacement process. For a few moments, she remained standing, her expression a mix of worry and determination as she worked to steady her breathing and calm her thoughts.

After a short pause, she finally knelt beside me, her movements deliberate and focused. Settling down near my head, Mikoto placed the glass container with my father's eyes within arm's reach. She then activated her Mystical Palm Jutsu, the soothing green glow illuminating her hands as she prepared to proceed.

"Are you ready?" she asked, her voice steady but tinged with a hint of unease.

I gave her a reassuring nod. "I am ready and I trust you, Mikoto. Let's begin."

With a small nod of acknowledgment, she leaned forward, her hands hovering just above my face as she carefully examined my eyes. Her chakra flowed steadily, ensuring precision and minimizing any potential discomfort.

The next few minutes passed by as Mikoto worked hard to quickly but carefully complete the replacement process. Throughout the entire time, I had to endure the pain of undergoing an eye transplant surgery while being completely conscious, however, I was able to endure because of my experience in the Third War.

"It's done," Mikoto's voice brought me out of my distracted thoughts and only now did I notice that I was no longer feeling any pain in my eye sockets.

Sitting up slowly, I opened my eyes and saw the world through my newly implanted eyes for the first time. Instantly, I could feel the power contained in the eye was far less potent than my original Mangekyou Sharingan.

I looked at the mirror on the side of the room and channeled some Chakra into my eyes. The irises darkened and the scleras took a vibrant crimson hue along with the appearance of three tomoe spiraling around the pupils.

"How are you feeling? Are there any problems?" Mikoto asked, her brows furrowed with concern, her hands still instinctively poised to recheck me if necessary.

I smiled at her and answered, "Everything's fine, Mikoto. Besides, I am sure that you already checked me a few times before allowing me to get up, right?"

She let out a sigh of relief and then asked, "Now what?"

"Now," I said, "the real experimentation begins."

With those words, I brought out a piece of chakra metal from my ninja pouch. A seal was inscribed on the surface of the metal. Using my knowledge of Fuinjutsu, I was able to extract a sample of Sasuke's chakra and seal it within this piece of chakra metal. This sample is important for my experiment to succeed.

I mentally braced myself, taking a moment to focus. Then, I uttered the phrase that carried the power of one of the most dangerous Kinjutsu of the Uchiha Clan, "Izanagi."

The atmosphere seemed to shift instantly as the powerful technique took hold. From the corner of my eye, I caught Mikoto's sharp intake of breath, her gasp a mixture of shock and disbelief. I didn't let this sight distract me.

Izanagi granted me a fleeting moment of god-like control over reality itself; a few precious seconds in which I could manipulate existence according to my will.

Seizing this moment, I swiftly extracted roughly half of Sasuke's chakra I had sealed within the chakra metal and absorbed it within myself. Since Sasuke was the reincarnation of Indra, his chakra naturally contained traces of Indra's own chakra.

Utilizing the power of Izanagi, I refined and elevated the very nature of my chakra, reshaping it to match the potency and quality of Indra's. In essence, instead of telling the world that my death was an illusion, I told it that the old quality of my chakra was just an illusion and that my chakra's quality always matched the tiny sample of Indra chakra within the sample I took from Sasuke.

As the transformation took place, I felt a surge of power course through my very being. My chakra felt denser and more refined. It was as if a door had been opened within me, allowing access to a wellspring of potential I had never before possessed. Izanagi also ended at that moment and my right eye went dim and dull, turning me half-blind.

Even so, I was brimming with excitement as I felt the changes within my chakra network. The flow of chakra was smoother, the reserves deeper, and the control… almost instinctual.

"What did you do? Why did you use Izanagi?" Mikoto finally couldn't hold on, it seems. She stepped forward, examining my now-useless right eye.

Knowing that she wouldn't stop worrying until I gave a proper explanation, I began, "I refined the quality of my chakra to prevent my Mangekyou Sharingan from deteriorating with use. I believe the reason prolonged use of the Mangekyou leads to blindness is due to the insufficient quality of a Uchiha's chakra.

"The process of evolving the Mangekyou Sharingan into the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan involves implanting the Mangekyou eyes of a close relative—one who has also unlocked their Mangekyou. During this process, the chakra within their transplanted eyes merges with the user's own, resulting in the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. However, since I have no close relatives with an awakened Mangekyou to replace my eyes with, I came up with this method.

"Sealed within this chakra metal is a sample of my son's chakra. Because he is my direct descendant, his chakra is naturally compatible with mine. Using Izanagi, I assimilated his chakra into my body, refining my own chakra to a level where using Mangekyou Sharingan will no longer degrade my eyesight."

Her brows furrowed, and she reached out, her hands glowing with the soft green light of the Mystical Palm Technique. The next moment, she placed them over my chest, scanning my chakra network for any abnormalities.

A few tense moments passed before she let out a sigh, retracting her hands. "Your chakra… it really has changed," she murmured, a mix of fascination and concern in her voice. "But is this safe? Will this truly allow you to use your Mangekyou Sharingan without any consequences?"

Her worry was understandable as she wasn't aware of Indra's existence. From her perspective, it seemed like I was taking an enormous risk without truly knowing if things would work out.

My expression softened as I reassured her, "Don't worry, Mikoto. Believe me, things will work out just fine. You know I wouldn't take such a risk if I wasn't confident in the outcome."

Mikoto fell silent, carefully considering my words. Her face alternated between concern and deep thought. I could sense her hesitation, the urge to argue with me, but her trust in me won out in the end. After a moment, she nodded in agreement and asked, "What happens next?"

"Next, I will use Izanagi again to improve your chakra quality now."

Mikoto's eyes widened in surprise at my words. "Mine too? Why? I don't even have Mangekyou Sharingan. I don't need this," she said, her voice a mix of confusion and concern.

"Not yet, but I know how to help you awaken them, don't worry about it. We will talk about that later. For now, just stand still and let me complete the process."

Mikoto hesitated briefly before ultimately stepping forward, placing her trust in me once more.

Wasting no time, I activated Izanagi again, this time using the left eye. As reality bent to my will, I guided the remaining chakra stored within the chakra metal into Mikoto, seamlessly transferring its energy into her system. Then, just as I had done with myself, I used Izanagi's power to assimilate the chakra within her, refining her chakra quality to match the level of Indra's.

With my previous experience, the process felt smoother, allowing me to complete the transformation swiftly and without any problems.

As the effects of Izanagi dissipated, my left eye succumbed to darkness, leaving me completely blind. However, despite my lack of sight, my improved chakra quality had significantly sharpened my other senses, allowing me to perceive my surroundings with remarkable clarity.

I can sense Mikoto staying still for a moment, likely feeling the changes within herself. Then, she flexed her fingers, opening and closing her first a few times before she spoke up, "This… feels different." She murmured, her voice filled with amazement, "My chakra… it's denser, more potent. I can feel it flowing through me with such clarity."

I nodded, satisfied with the result. "That's because your chakra has undergone a fundamental change. You should be able to control it more efficiently, and when you awaken your Mangekyou, you'll truly understand the extent of this transformation."

She took a deep breath, composing herself before she looked at me and finally noticed my state. "Your eyes… they've turned completely white! You can't see like this, right? Lie down immediately; I need to reimplant your original eyes as soon as possible."

I complied with her demand and lay down.

A few minutes later, I opened my eyes and the world became clear again.

"Can you see now? Any problems?" Mikoto asked.

I shook my head and answered, "No problem. I can see everything with perfect clarity."

Immediately after, I channeled chakra into my eyes, activating my Sharingan. The power which flowed in my eyes… It felt much stronger than before. Pushing more chakra into my eyes, I activated Mangekyou and immediately sensed them changing. Looking into the mirror, I noticed my eyes changed, transforming into a six-cornered star pattern, different from my three-cornered star pattern from before.

"Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan!"
