Chapter 4: Waking Up
I woke up from the chill and wetness that seeped through my body. I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar rocky ceiling. In one quick motion, I sat up and scanned my surroundings, realizing I was in a cave.
I was submerged in a pond of cool water. Above me, jagged rock formations hung like spikes—stalactites dripping water that collected in the pond around me. The cave walls were damp and cold.
Behind me was a dead end; the cave was surprisingly shallow. About 50 meters before me, I saw a large hole brimming with light. That must be the entrance.
With groggy steps, I stood and began walking toward it. Each step seemed to shake off my grogginess, and my movements gradually returned to normal. It felt as though my body had restarted. All the power I once possessed was gone—or rather, sealed. At that moment, I was just an ordinary human.
Sigh. "Reincarnation."
I walked toward the light, leaving the cave behind.
The moment I stepped out, a vast forest stretched out before me. I saw the sun shining in a clear, blue sky. Beyond it hung a massive purple planet that dominated most of the heavens. Instinctively, I tried to measure its diameter, relying only on my intuition, knowledge, and experience.
To my surprise, I couldn't. Even I, a being capable of measuring anything through instinct alone, failed. The planet was unimaginably massive, defying all concepts and laws of measurement. It was beyond the Eternal Level Unknown—the highest known scale of measurement—which meant the planet's size was at an uncharted level: "???"
Next, I tried to gauge the distance between myself and the colossal planet, but the result was the same. A thought entered my mind: Dream Project Final Chaos.
Wait, this wasn't enough evidence. I needed to confirm the world's diameter before jumping to conclusions. With a powerful leap, I soared skyward, reaching an altitude of millions of feet.
In a soft voice, I cast a spell. "Infinite Telescope."
Given my current state, I shouldn't have enough magic power to cast such a spell. But thanks to my perfect magic control, every spell I cast consumed almost no mana, making my reserves theoretically infinite despite their meager amount.
Using the spell, I searched for the horizon's edge.
My eyesight zoomed infinitely, revealing distant objects from infinite distances that no ordinary vision could perceive. Yet, even with this magic, I couldn't see the horizon's end. It stretched endlessly, an unreachable expanse.
I gathered more information through my magic. The result: the edge of the horizon lay 100,000,000 Level Unknown away.
"That adds 25% to the probability that I'm right. One last test."
I gazed at the sky, scrutinizing it for five minutes before sensing something I couldn't see. My instincts told me something was hidden there.
"I'm certain now."
A moment of silence followed before I erupted into laughter.
"I did it!" I exclaimed like a madman, overcome with joy and accomplishment. I had realized my Dream Project: Final Chaos. After celebrating, a question surfaced in my mind.
"Who reincarnated me? If I had the power to complete that project, I should've reincarnated long ago. But I have no memory of doing so."
"Did I reincarnate myself to experience my work? No, I wouldn't have done it this way. Then who did it?" I thought deeply before an image of an unimaginably beautiful girl flashed into my mind.
"It must be her doing. It's been a while since she last visited my dreams. We'll meet soon." I gazed at the sky with a smile.
My first goal was to find civilization.
For almost 100,000 miles, I found no sign of it. Extending my search with Infinite Telescope magic, I finally spotted something.
North, 1,550,000 miles away, I saw a massive gray wall with a circular layout, enclosing ocean and continents. Its diameter was over 300,000 miles. The moment I saw it, I immediately recognized what it was.
"Oh, I found the Old World."
"I was lucky today. I hope misfortune doesn't follow me next."
The Old World was the original surface of this world before its evolution and infinite expansion.
In my dream project, all worlds, Stars, moons, galaxies, Universe, Multiverse, Gigaverse, Megaverse, Dimension, Omniverse, Realm, realities, and beyond would evolve and expand, growing to unimaginable sizes.
The world was divided into three parts:
The "Old World", encircled by a gray wall, represents the original surface of the world before its evolution. The original residents of this world rule it.
The "New World" is the expanded surface added after the world's evolution. This part is governed and owned by my creation.
Lastly, the "Given World", surrounded by a green wall, is the territory granted by my creation to the original inhabitants of this world. There are at least a hundred septillion Given Worlds on each planet that exist across existence.
"I have a long journey ahead."
I descended to the ground and landed.
Once on the ground, I mentally listed the necessities for my journey: food, clothing, weapons, transportation, and money. First, I would assess my current strengths.
Sitting cross-legged, I closed my eyes and spread magic through my body, scanning it along with my soul.
Most of my strength was sealed, including my base form. At that moment, I was just a normal human with a small amount of mana.
"Wow, that's quite the fall."
After checking my strength, I began gathering food. Searching the forest for prey, I finally found a trail after an hour. Judging by the footprints, it was a four-leg creature—an herbivore rather than a predator.
The footprints were massive, suggesting the creature stood 5 to 8 meters tall. Based on the shape, I guessed it was a deer-like creature. Carefully, I followed the trail, moving soundlessly through the bushes.
Eventually, I reached a riverbank and spotted my target. Hidden behind the foliage, I observed it.
The creature resembled a deer with cow-like horns, its fur as white as snow and its eyes as dark as night. Its muscular frame was built for survival in the wild.
"Creature 111-23, also known as the White Deer of Elmash."
"Its weakness lies in its chest. If I recall correctly, there's a core there. Without destroying it, the creature is immortal."
I conjured an ice arrow and shot it at the deer's chest, shattering its core in an instant and sparing it any pain. Afterward, I butchered the deer by the river, washing away the blood, discarding the organs into the water, and storing the meat in my shadow inventory. Then, I moved on to the next task.
After hunting enough food, I crafted clothes—coats, shirts, pants, shoes, and more. I only had two pairs of clothes, so I needed extras. I even got carried away and made female outfits: gothic dresses, maid uniforms, nurse outfits, village attire, school uniforms, and more.
It will be handy in the future I said to myself while looking at the female clothes in front of me.
With a straight face, I stored everything in my inventory.
Next, I headed to a nearby mountain in search of rich mineral veins for weapon-making.
