Chat Group: Reborn as a Celestial Dragon in One Piece

Chapter 92: Chapter 91: Yamato’s Trial by Poison

[Group Chat]

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Hey, Jibril. Didn't Mr. World Nobleman and you had a little'up and down' moments in the Demon Slayer world? I recall you were basically powerless back then no Senzu beans, no magic. Just you, suffering. But he still did you around, didn't he?"

Jibril: "...Ugh. Don't remind me. That Daemon guy is the worst! Seriously! He's a menace to every plane of existence."

Eriri Sawamura: "T-That's terrifying. You're saying if I summon him, he might actually do something weird to me?!"

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Quite possible. Let's face it, you're a flat-chested blonde tsundere with decent looks. That's basically the kind of aesthetic those twisted world nobles go for. Why else do you think he has your favorability maxed out at 100?"

Eriri Sawamura: "…Y-You're making me more scared now! Mr. Daemon is... is truly a terrifying man!"

"Ugh… Am I an adult now?"

Yamato blinked in confusion, looking down at herself. Her body had clearly matured...taller, stronger, but mentally, she was still the same airheaded warrior.

Yet she was thrilled. She could feel the power coursing through her ten thousand times stronger than before!

"Eat this! Thunder Bagua! You rotten Celestial Dragon!!"

Reborn stronger than ever, Yamato launched herself at Daemon with uncontainable energy, her club soaring in a reckless arc.

Daemon stood unfazed, watching her charge.

"You've definitely matured on the outside, but your brain clearly didn't come along for the ride. Attacking me twice in a row like this? Tch... Looks like someone needs a lesson in adult discipline."

This time, Daemon didn't bother using the God of Escape. Instead, he raised his sword slowly casually, and swung it downward with raw brute force.

CRACK—!

The earth split in two under the sheer pressure of the slash. A terrifying crevice opened where the strike landed, dust exploding upward.

Yamato's expression instantly shifted. Her instincts screamed danger. Even with her limited intelligence, her body knew—this was lethal.

With a desperate roar, she raised her club to block.

Daemon's sword fell.

But not one sword—two.

The Noble Phantasm he gained from defeating Kozuki Oden granted him a dual-blade effect, even when swinging a single weapon.

The second slash could either reinforce the first, amplifying power, or strike from an alternate angle to widen the impact zone.

BOOM!

The force crushed Yamato. Her knees buckled as the shockwave slammed into her, bones audibly shattering under the strain.

CRACK!

Her right arm snapped at the joint. Screaming, she tried to resist with her left, but it too was crushed under the continued pressure.

THUD!

The mace was knocked from her hands. Helpless, Yamato's body slammed into the dirt, her bones screaming, blood spattering from her mouth and nose.

She was down...broken and buried in rubble.

"Yamato…"

Watching from a distance, Kaido's heart clenched. This was his daughter, his pride and joy. Not the future rebel she'd become later in life, but still his precious little girl.

And yet, he felt a strange relief.

"She's alive," he murmured. "Hurt, but alive."

Not far away, Saitama watched the scene unfold, his face contorted in confusion.

"…Is this guy trying to kill her? Why not just end it quickly? What's with the torture?"

Aizen, standing calmly beside him, gave a soft chuckle.

"You really don't understand men at all, Mr. Saitama," he said smoothly. "In my opinion, Daemon actually likes Miss Yamato. Otherwise, he wouldn't have given her such a precious Noble Phantasm. Nor would he waste this much time training her through battle."

"Wait, for real?" Saitama blinked. "Mr. Aizen, you're surprisingly insightful…"

Then, he tilted his head and asked bluntly:

"Does that mean you've dated a lot of women too?"

"…"

Aizen's smile twitched. He shook his head, calmly hiding the crack in his pride.

"No. In my eyes, the other Shinigami are barely a step above monkeys. Why would I waste time pursuing them?"

"Oh. So you're like me—totally unpopular with girls, huh."

Saitama nodded sympathetically, completely oblivious to the dark aura beginning to gather around Aizen.

"Man... I still envy Mr. Daemon. If I were even a little better-looking, maybe I wouldn't be stuck at the bottom of the hero rankings."

"AHHHH! IT HURTS!"

Yamato screamed as she clawed her way out of the rubble, her tear-stained face twisted in agony. Every bone in her body screamed.

Daemon stood over her, tall and composed, sword sheathed again.

"What's my name, Yamato?"

His voice was calm, but there was an edge beneath it.

"B-Bastard Celestial Dragon!" she spat without hesitation, eyes burning with defiance.

Daemon smiled—amused, not angry.

"You really are a wild one. Fully grown and still acting like a rebellious brat?"

He reached into his treasure vault and drew out a whip glowing with divine energy.

SNAP!

A purple-red lash streaked across Yamato's pale skin, a raw line of pain burning across her arm.

"AHHH!!"

She howled, her body writhing. She tried to fight back, but her limbs were broken. Her strength, her will—they were slipping.

"Let's try again." Daemon raised the whip lazily. "What. Is. My. Name?"

"…B-Bastard…"

She trembled, eyes clenched shut, voice barely audible through the pain.

"Ambitious. I like that."

Daemon chuckled, praise rolling off his tongue with a casual tone. He raised the long whip in his hand once more.

Crack!

"Aagh—!"

Yamato's body jerked as a scream tore from her throat. This time, the whip didn't just sting—it ripped through skin, leaving behind a thin trail of blood.

"Still holding out?" Daemon asked with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

Lying on her back, Yamato glared up at him, cheeks flushed with pain, her red eyes brimming with fury and tears. She looked like a wounded beast.

"You're still the bad guy! No matter how much you hurt me, you're just the worst!"

Daemon sighed, shaking his head with mock disappointment.

"Tsk. Disobedient children need to learn the hard way."

He raised the whip again, but this time, it shimmered—veins of translucent miasma began to snake along its length.

"Let me educate you. This—" he gestured to the toxin-laced whip, "is the Wine of the Arrogant King. I acquired it after slaying your dear uncle, Queen.

"Its origin lies with Semiramis, the legendary Assyrian empress who endured twelve trials even Hercules would weep through. Her venom broke Chiron's will. Tell me, Yamato... can you survive what they couldn't?"

Her pupils shrank in terror as the whip lashed out again.

Crack!

This time, Yamato didn't scream right away.

Her eyes widened.

"It hurts... it hurts... ahhh! It itches! What the hell is this? Father! It burns! Itches! HELP ME! DAD!!"

Then came the screaming. Horrible, raw, bloodcurdling.

Her cries shattered the silence like glass. Blood streamed from her throat as her vocal cords tore. No wounds were visible, yet she twisted and writhed in agony.

She looked possessed—as if a million stings devoured her nerves, ants crawling under her skin, bees driving barbs into every inch of flesh. Her once-beautiful face contorted into something monstrous.

The poison of Pride was no ordinary venom. It was agony incarnate.

If her arms weren't already broken, she might've clawed out her own throat to end it.

"This is the wine of the noble phantom King of Pride," Daemon murmured. "Even legends fell to its pain. What hope does a girl like you have?"

He knelt, gently lifting Yamato's face by the chin. Her eyes rolled wildly, her mind lost in torment. She couldn't speak—only scream.

"Still won't admit you're wrong?"

He sighed again, then casually grabbed one of her horns and began dragging her away, turning off the live broadcast with a flick.

"What... is Mr. Daemon going to do?" Saitama asked clenching his fists, frowning as he watched Yamato's limp body being pulled across the ground.

Aizen didn't respond immediately. His calm eyes followed the scene in silence. As a man with normal desires but no romantic experience, he knew exactly what Daemon intended.

Truth be told, he didn't agree with it.

Women slow down your blade. That's what Aizen believed. But Daemon… Daemon was different.

Watching it unfold, Sengoku Buddha ground his teeth silently. "This bastard… worst I've ever seen. Not even the worst nobles stoop this low."

Kaido, meanwhile, stared blankly.

His daughter's screams rang louder in his head than his own pain. He thought he didn't love her that much. But now? Seeing her like that, hearing her suffering?

He realized too late how much she mattered.

But he couldn't help her.

Most of his body had been shattered by Daemon's Death of the Sky.

Even if Daemon had shown mercy… he wouldn't last long.

"You two," Sengoku spoke to Aizen and Saitama. "What should we do with Kaido?"

Having seen their power, Sengoku knew better than to overstep.

"Kaido?" Aizen raised a brow. "Hold on, I'll ask."

He entered the chat group.

Blocked.

Jibril: "I declare Mr. Daemon the number one scumbag of this group! That was inhuman!"

Uchiha Miyuki: "Agreed! Disgusting!"

Esdeath: "Pathetic. War demands brutality. That girl should be grateful it was only torture."

Luo Hao: "Compared to wartime atrocities, this was mercy. She'll live."

Yamamoto Mei: "Are we sure? That looked like pure hell."

Luo Hao: "Just poison. Recovery is possible."

Utaha Kasumigaoka: "I support Mr. Daemon. Yamato attacked him first—twice. A lesser man would've died. She got what she deserved."

Nakiri Erina: "And let's not forget—Daemon didn't provoke her. Kaido did. She chose her fate."

Kocho Shinobu: "Indeed. He didn't start this."

Tohsaka Sakura: "Anyone who hurts Brother Daemon is my enemy!"

Uchiha Madara: "You throw punches, expect them back. Pain only matters when it's yours? Cowards think like that."

Aizen read the chat. Yamato's agony dominated the topic.

Strangely, he didn't think Daemon was being too cruel. After all, this was war.

Still... would Kaido remain an enemy?

Or… become Daemon's father-in-law?

Aizen: "Mr. Daemon, Kaido's dying. Should we save him or let him go?"

Daemon: "Jibril, give Aizen a senzu bean. Let Kaido eat it."

Jibril: "Huh? Why?"

Daemon: "I'm not ready to kill him yet. If I do, I might get a weak Noble Phantasm. Better to let him recover and fatten up."

Daemon: "Besides, letting the Navy run Wano? Disgusting. I don't need their corruption messing with my money."

Daemon: "And Kaido's technically my future father-in-law. Can't kill family just yet."

Uchiha Miyuki: "Wait—father-in-law? YOU'RE MARRYING YAMATO?!"

Daemon: "Yeah."

Daemon: "Yamato's not bad. Bit rebellious, but she grows on you. Kinda cute when she's pissed."

Uchiha Miyuki: "WHAT?! I was waiting until she turned 18—wait, she's over 18 already? DAMN YOU, DAEMON!"

Luo Hao: "...Honestly, this is probably the happiest ending Kaido could hope for."

Jibril: "Scumbag Daemon wins again."

Jibril: "[Red Envelope] Senzu bean sent to Aizen. Save Kaido. That man's lucky to have such a daughter."

Aizen: "Understood."
