Chapter 93: Chapter 92: Forget the Past — Yamato’s New Daddy is Daemon
Yamato had always been beautiful—her striking appearance rivaled even the most stunning women in the world.
Yet what made her truly captivating wasn't just her looks, but the innocent light in her eyes, untouched by the filth of the world.
As Kaido's daughter, she carried the powerful bloodline of the Oni. Her curved horns, sharp eyes, and fierce aura gave her a wild, heroic air—something that matched Daemon's tastes all too perfectly.
Now, that once-untouched canvas had been stained by his hand.
Yamato had barely recovered from the poisoned wine gifted by the so-called Arrogant King when Daemon punished her again.
The torment didn't seem to bother him. If anything, he enjoyed it. Watching this once-pristine soul bend to his will brought him a sense of triumph no battlefield could offer.
To him, no matter how many warriors he crushed, it couldn't compare to what he was doing now—corrupting purity itself.
Elsewhere, Aizen received the fairy beans from Jibril and immediately gave one to Kaido.
Kaido, who had been pummeled into near death by Daemon, was restored instantly. His wounds sealed. His strength returned. His life—reborn.
"…What kind of power is this? Some secret weapon of the Celestial Dragons?" Sengoku muttered, eyes wide as he watched Kaido rise again. For all his years of experience, nothing had prepared him for this. He couldn't help but feel a chill run down his spine.
Kaido gasped, his breath catching as his hand reached for his chest. But it wasn't his wounds that haunted him.
"Yamato…" he whispered.
He didn't care about the miraculous recovery. Not about the beans, or the world's shocked stares. His thoughts were only on his daughter.
He knew what Daemon was doing.
That bastard wasn't just a monster—he was worse than Kaido himself. And Kaido had done terrible things.
He wanted to rush in. To tear Daemon apart with his bare hands.
But he didn't move.
He just sank to the ground, fists trembling, eyes hollow.
"…Be open-minded," Saitama said beside him, placing a light hand on Kaido's massive shoulder. "I heard people say Mr. Daemon is a total scumbag. If you and your daughter are still alive, that might be the happiest outcome you'll get."
"…."
Kaido said nothing.
Of course Daemon was a scumbag. Every newspaper in the world ran tales of his scandals. But Kaido? He only had himself to blame. If he hadn't tried to rob Daemon of the Celestial Gold—drawn in by the legend of the Ancient Weapon King—none of this would've happened.
Now most of his men were dead. His empire was ruined. Even his life was no longer his own.
And Daemon wasn't even the only monster here. That bald guy in the cape—Saitama—was on a different level entirely.
Even Rocks, Kaido's legendary old boss, wasn't fit to carry the guy's boots.
The only consolation was that King had survived. And with Black Maria and Yamato still alive, there was at least a flicker of life left in the Beast Pirates.
But Kaido's thoughts turned dark again.
"…Why am I the only one who suffers?" he muttered bitterly.
Misery demands company.
But who could he take it out on?
Daemon? Untouchable.
Sengoku? Too strong.
Orochi? Already dead.
Kozuki Oden? Dead long ago.
His retainers? Gone.
Then it hit him.
Oden's wife… and child.
Were they still alive?
Kaido's lips curled into a twisted smile.
"…Brother Oden, forgive me," he murmured. "Your wife and kid will be safe. Their backer will now be a Celestial Dragon. That's a blessing for your wife right?"
Several hours later…
Eriri descended upon Onigashima, riding atop a bone dragon, her hair fluttering wildly in the wind.
"Unbelievable!" she exclaimed as she landed, her porcelain-white face scrunched in disbelief. "Mr. Daemon… bullying a girl like that?! That's just evil! Isn't he supposed to be our leader?!"
Aizen, standing calmly nearby, smiled softly.
"Daemon rarely takes interest like this," he said. "He didn't assign this mission just for show. Maybe he wanted to share the rewards with us… or maybe it's his own way of contributing to the team."
"…I guess when you say it like that…"
Eriri fidgeted awkwardly. She was the weakest member of the team, and deep down, she knew it.
She hadn't contributed at all during the mission and had only drained Daemon's energy flying her around on that ridiculous bone dragon.
Nearby, Black Maria had just regained consciousness. Her face was pale. Tears welled up in her eyes.
She said nothing. Just looked toward Yamato's direction, her heart heavy.
Next to her sat King, his face bandaged, arms crossed in silence.
He looked like a statue of despair.
His thoughts were spinning. Kaido—his boss, his pride—might now be… Daemon's father-in-law?
And him? An orphan of the Lunarian race? What would happen if the Celestial Dragons decided they wanted to experiment on him again?
In the group chat, the chaos had only just begun.
Uchiha Miyuki: "Wait—Yamato got beaten to death by Daemon?!"
Esdeath: "No… she's tough. She inherited Kaido's strength. Physically, she's probably stronger than most men."
Jibril: "Huh?"
Luo Hao: "…"
Eriri: "Wait! So my body can't even compare to Yamato's?!"
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Pfft—your flat-chested struggle is your own fault. Comparing yourself to Yamato is suicide. Even Sakura looks better than you."
Eriri: "AHHHH! You damn cow—stop bullying me!"
Luo Hao: "Pirate World girls are born with hacks. Even I might lose in physique compared to that Yamato girl."
Luo Hao: "Mr. Saitama, why don't you fight Mr. Aizen next?"
Saitama: "Eh? I was thinking that too. But Mr. Aizen refused."
Luo Hao: "Huh?"
Esdeath: "Isn't Aizen the kind who enjoys battle?"
Aizen: "I dislike unnecessary combat."
Yamamoto Mei: "No one believes that! You have so many instant-kill records in the anime!"
Aizen: "....."
Miyuki: "Did Aizen back out because he saw Saitama's strength in the chat logs?"
Yamamoto Mei: "Ha! You nailed it! This shady guy's scared. Finally something interesting!"
Aizen sighed, exiting the chat with a bitter smile.
They weren't wrong. He hadn't rejected Saitama out of disinterest—but out of respect. The gap between them was immense. He longed for battles of intellect and evenly matched strength, not crushing defeat.
A man must know his limitations.
And in front of Saitama, Aizen knew his place.
At that moment, Aizen casually glanced to the side—and noticed Daemon returning.
"Yo! Hope I didn't keep you all waiting too long!"
Daemon greeted everyone in high spirits. Behind him followed a very different Yamato—no longer the wild, defiant youth from before, but a docile figure clinging closely to Daemon's side like an obedient student. She even took the initiative to hold his hand.
"Mr. Daemon, did you… convince her?"
Eriri asked, clearly stunned by Yamato's change in demeanor.
"More or less."
Daemon nodded and explained nonchalantly, "After all that pain and torment, a softer touch works better. Add a few hours of emotional overload, and well… I'd say her mind's filled with nothing but me now. She's probably forgotten her real father altogether."
(PS: Damn)
As he spoke, he raised his hand and gently stroked Yamato's snowy white hair.
Yamato instinctively leaned into his touch, nuzzling his palm like a small animal—completely opposite of how she had behaved before.
"Isn't this just brainwashing?"
Eriri frowned, shooting Daemon a look full of disapproval—like she was staring at a scumbag.
"Brainwashing? Tch. Her IQ wasn't anything to brag about to begin with," Daemon rolled his eyes. "At best, she's got a bit of memory loss. A little studying and she'll be back to normal."
"..."
Eriri was at a loss for words.
I'm speechless. This guy really is the boss-level villain of the group.
Just then, Kaido slowly rose from the ground.
"You're saying her memories were damaged, and now her whole world revolves around you?"
Kaido's voice was low as he looked at Daemon, then at Yamato, who still clung to his hand.
"Exactly." Daemon nodded. He turned toward Yamato and pointed at Kaido. "Do you remember who he is?"
Yamato shrank back a little and peeked at Kaido timidly.
"…That weird-looking uncle seems kinda familiar…"
Gone was the reckless warrior spirit—now she looked like a frightened girl trying to piece together a vague dream.
"…If she forgot the painful stuff, maybe that's for the best," Kaido muttered.
He let out a long breath as he confirmed that Yamato's mind wasn't completely broken. And deep down, perhaps it was a relief. At least she'd forget the humiliation of being crushed by Daemon.
She might even live a better life—one as the consort of a Celestial Dragon, part of their garden.
As a father who couldn't protect her, what else could he hope for?
…Still, the bitterness lingered in his chest. And Kaido didn't like being bitter alone.
He turned to Daemon with a wicked grin.
"Say, Daemon… Is Kozuki Oden's family still alive?"
Daemon raised an eyebrow at the sudden shift in tone.
"They're all alive. You thinking of taking revenge on Oden?"
"Damn right I am. Let's go."
With that, Kaido shot into the air, his body morphing into a massive dragon. He wrapped Oden's lifeless body in his tail like a trophy.
"Sure—but give me a sec."
Daemon didn't object. In fact, that had been part of his plan when he kept Oden's family alive. But since everyone else was still present, it was only right to settle things.
He looked over at Aizen, Eriri, and Saitama.
"This mission's nearly done. You can return to your own worlds, or stick around the pirate world for a few days if you want to relax. There's still about six days left until the deadline."
"I'm out! Thanks, Boss Daemon!"
Eriri raised her hand instantly—no way she was staying a second longer in this dangerous world.
"I'll wait right here," Saitama said with a bright grin. "Ever since I joined the chat group, I've been dying to spar with you!"
Daemon chuckled. "Looking forward to it."
Then he turned to Aizen.
"I think I'll wander a bit," Aizen said with his signature calm smile. "It's my first time in a different world, after all."
Even now, that gentle façade never wavered. Anyone not in the know might mistake him for a perfect gentleman instead of the scheming mastermind he truly was.
And finally, there was Sengoku.
"Admiral Sengoku."
Daemon's tone was cordial, but Sengoku's heart sank. A bead of cold sweat dripped down his back under the heavy coat of his uniform.
He had seen it all—Kaido, Wano, Kozuki Oden… Daemon's overwhelming power. His dominance.
Sengoku had once considered revenge for Garp. But now, that idea felt laughable. Futile.
He couldn't beat Daemon. No one could.
Still, what did Daemon want with him now? Was he being asked to oversee Wano? Would he end up like Akainu, serving this terrifying Celestial Dragon?
Could he really betray Garp's memory like that?
Lost in thought, Sengoku didn't even realize that a radiant golden sword had appeared in Daemon's hand.
Nearby, Aizen quietly sighed, as if pitying him.
"God Avoid—!!"
Those were the last words Sengoku ever heard.
His head soared through the air, eyes wide with disbelief. Even in death, he didn't understand—why?
Why had Daemon killed him without warning?
Daemon's voice was calm as ever.
"Sorry. Changed my mind."
He watched Hermes, his Noble Phantasm, begin absorbing Sengoku's legend. With that, a new weapon would soon be born.
"Besides," he added casually, "Kaido makes a better admiral. And this way, I don't have to worry about some moralistic fool plotting revenge for an old friend."
Daemon turned to Kaido, still hovering in the air in dragon form, stunned.
"What do you think, Father-in-law? Admiral of the Beasts—it has a nice ring to it, no?"
"H-Hiss—"
Daemon's words made Kaido tremble from head to toe. He quickly descended, shifting back to human form.
"I—Kaido! Admiral of all beasts! Pledge absolute loyalty to Daemon-sama!"
The Kaido who once prided himself as a mighty emperor now bowed respectfully, completely cowed by Daemon's might.
King, who stood nearby, watched this scene with wide eyes. His awe-struck hero had become a loyal dog.
But when he noticed Daemon's gaze shift to him, King froze. A cold sweat ran down his back. On instinct, he dropped to one knee.
"From this day forward, you are Vice Admiral of the Navy Headquarters, King."
Daemon's tone was firm. "You may use the Naval Science Division to restore your clan. The World Government will protect your people."
"Boom!"
King's knees slammed into the ground as he looked up with fervent devotion.
"King will follow you, Daemon-sama—until death!"
"Good."
Daemon gave a small nod and turned once more to Kaido.
"Let's go," he said with a wry smile. "Time to visit the Kozuki family. After all… I did promise Oden I'd take good care of them. And as a Celestial Dragon, I never break my word."
