Cheat Million Love

Chapter 16: Ch.16 : Sister's of Pain and Chaos

Jenny was in the middle of explaining her story to Nic when suddenly, a woman barged in and slapped him hard.

"Ow—what was that for?!" Nic asked, confused.

The woman glared sharply at him.

"Because that's what you deserve. A pervert like you who keeps slapping my little sister needs to be punished," she said sternly.

Nic frowned in confusion, until Jenny cut in. "Stop it, sis! He's not like that!"

Nic looked at her. "So… you two are sisters?"

Fanny folded her arms. "And I've lectured this girl over and over to stop hurting herself, but she never listens!"

But then her eyes softened when she noticed the tears on Jenny's face. Normally, Jenny would smile with a weird grin after getting hit. But this time, she looked genuinely sad.

"Jenny, why are you crying? Did you… finally realize something?" Fanny asked, puzzled.

Nic interjected, "Do you really not understand why your sister's crying?"

Fanny turned sharply and grabbed Nic by the collar. Her voice was low and threatening. "If this is your fault, I swear, I'll make you regret it."

Nic remained calm despite the heavy tension in the air. "I did make her cry," he admitted plainly.

Before he could explain, Fanny punched him to the ground. He staggered, but Jenny quickly cried out, "Stop, sis! Don't hurt him again!"

"Why not? He made you cry!" Fanny snapped back.

Jenny shook her head slowly, still crying. "He's the only one who ever noticed that I was faking it… even you never saw through it. You just kept calling me weird!"

Fanny's anger faded. Her expression softened. "Jenny… I really did think you were just being strange. That's why I kept trying to protect you…"

Nic stood up and interrupted. "Jenny's behavior is just a result of her trauma, Fanny. That trauma turned into a destructive habit. If she doesn't overcome it, she'll keep spiraling."

He looked her in the eyes. "You know what? Every time before being hit, Jenny always prepared herself. But earlier, I slapped her when she wasn't ready. That's why she cried. That's proof she doesn't enjoy the pain—it's just become a broken habit."

Fanny was speechless. Nic smirked. "What kind of big sister doesn't even understand her own sibling? I'm just a stranger, and yet I understand her better than you."

That made Fanny furious. She threw another punch, but Nic blocked her hand.

He glanced between the two of them and calmly said, "I like both of you. If you want to be my girlfriends, just let me know."

He let go of Fanny's hand and walked off.

Fanny stared at his back, dumbfounded. "What kind of weirdo confesses like that without even knowing us?!"

Jenny simply watched him leave, and Fanny continued grumbling. "That guy's so annoying!"

That Night

In their room, Fanny was lying on the bed, hugging her pillow with a frustrated face. Jenny sat by the window, staring out with her usual mischievous grin.

"Sis…" Jenny broke the silence.

"What now?" Fanny mumbled.

"Why can't I stop thinking about him? I think… I like him," Jenny said, grinning devilishly.

Fanny hurled her pillow straight at her sister's face. "Shut up! Stop saying weird stuff!"

But despite her words, she hid her blushing face behind her hands. Her heart was pounding.

"This is all that idiot's fault!" she shouted to herself.

The Next Morning

Fanny and Jenny were searching all over Solis Academy for Nic. After asking around, a student finally told them he was in the clubroom with his friends.

They rushed there immediately.

Fanny banged on the door loudly, causing everyone inside to look up. Nic, lounging on the couch, recognized the knock right away.

"Leona, can you get the door?" he asked casually.

Leona opened the door, revealing a serious-looking Fanny and an excited Jenny.

Fanny's eyes scanned the room and widened at the sight of all the girls lounging around comfortably.

"What… is this?" she muttered.

Nic smiled. "You made it."

Leona eyed them suspiciously. "Who are you two? What do you want?"

Before Fanny could speak, Jenny blurted out, "We want to be Nic's girlfriends!"

Silence.

Every girl in the room stared at Nic blankly.

Panicking, Fanny covered Jenny's mouth. "Idiot! Don't say that in front of everyone!"

Nia, one of Nic's girlfriends, sighed. "Seriously? Again? How many more are joining?"

Nic scratched his head and chuckled. "Looks like this place is gonna get more crowded."

Nia smirked. "We're becoming one big happy family, huh?"

Jenny beamed, but Fanny still looked unsure. She turned to Nic. "Wait. Do they even know who I am?"

Vivi, who was bouncing a basketball, seemed to recall something.

"Fanny from Class 11, right? Isn't she the one people call a monster?" she said warily.

Fanny glared at her sharply. "Who called me a monster?!"

Vivi ducked behind Nic. "Not me! I swear!"

Nic raised a hand to calm things down.

"Chill, Fanny. I don't care about rumors. What matters is that we all get along and stay happy, okay?"

Fanny sighed deeply. "Fine, I'll go along with it."

As things calmed down, Yui suddenly asked, "Jenny, what's your hobby?"

Jenny replied innocently, "Feeling pain!"

Silence.

Everyone stared at her, unsure of how to react. Leona whispered to Fanny, "Your sister's a bit... off, huh?"

Fanny just sighed. "Yeah, she's like that."

Nic looked at Jenny seriously. "Listen, Jenny. If you keep doing weird things like that with strangers again, I won't hesitate to stay away from you."

Jenny pouted. "I promise I won't! But… can I get one last slap?"

Nic shook his head. "Not from me. Maybe someone else."

Leona's hand shot up. "I'll do it!"

Fanny immediately stepped forward, her aura deadly. "If you hit my sister too hard, I'll hit you back."

Leona gulped but nodded. "I accept that challenge."

She gently slapped Jenny, who instantly let out a breathy moan. "Hah\~ Leona… that was nice but not hard enough…"

Everyone went silent.

Nic covered his ears and turned away. "I heard nothing. Nothing at all."

Then Nic walked over to Jenny and touched her cheek. "Your skin isn't smooth. You should take care of it."

Fanny checked too. "She's right. Your cheek is rough. Must be from all that slapping."

Leona suddenly lit up. "Let's all go to my house tomorrow! It's a day off anyway!"

Violet, who had been quietly listening, looked confused. "Why would we all go to your house?"

Leona replied casually, "Just trust me. Especially you, Jenny. You must come! I'll send the location later."

Nic shrugged. "No idea what Leona's planning, but it sounds fun."

And so, everyone agreed to meet at Leona's house the next day—unaware of the surprise waiting for them.
