Cheat Million Love

Chapter 18: Ch.18 : The Silver-Haired Transfer Student

The day started like any other in Nic's class. Leona sat beside him, helping him finish a math assignment, when the teacher suddenly entered with unexpected news.

"Everyone, we have a new transfer student today. Please come in."

As the door opened, the classroom froze. A girl with long, shimmering silver hair and golden eyes stepped in. Her stride was graceful, her gentle smile enchanting.

"Hello everyone, my name is Olivia. Pleased to meet you," she said softly, bowing politely.

The entire class was captivated. The boys couldn't take their eyes off her. The teacher pointed to the only empty seat—right between Nic and Leona.

"Please sit there, Olivia," the teacher said.

Olivia walked over calmly, sitting without showing a hint of nervousness, though her presence dominated the room.

During the break, Olivia instantly became the center of attention. A swarm of boys surrounded her, trying to chat and impress her. Though she responded politely, it was clear she was uncomfortable.

From the corner, Leona watched the scene with a scowl. "Ugh, so lame," she muttered.

She turned toward Nic, who was absorbed in sketching. "What are you drawing now?"

Nic, not even glancing up, replied casually, "Girlfriend number eight."

"WHAT?!" Leona shrieked. She yanked Nic by the hair and dragged him out of class. "You flirt!"

Nic just laughed, letting himself be dragged. But in the process, he left his drawing behind.

As fate would have it, Olivia walked past Nic's desk and noticed the sketch. Her eyes widened—it was a drawing of a girl who looked exactly like her. Below the image was written:

"The moment I saw you walk in, I was mesmerized. So graceful, so beautiful. I like you~"

Nic had actually written that to tease Leona, but now Olivia had read it. The system automatically registered this as an "indirect confession," tagging Olivia as a potential girlfriend. Her face flushed red as her heart pounded uncontrollably.

"T-this..." she muttered, keeping the sketch and heading to the cafeteria—only to be followed by the same group of boys.

As Olivia began to feel overwhelmed, Fanny appeared out of nowhere with a cold smile.

"What are you all doing here, crowding around?" she said with an eerie grin.

The boys went pale and scattered instantly, knowing that smile meant danger.

"Thank you…" Olivia said softly.

Fanny glanced at the paper in Olivia's hand. "Wait—is that Nic's drawing? Wow, he drew you? You're lucky."

Without waiting for a reply, Fanny took the sketch from Olivia. "I'm keeping this as a thank-you for saving you, 'kay?"

Olivia didn't know what to say.

She headed to buy food and noticed Jack trying to persuade Vivi.

"Why are you still with Nic? He's a player! I'm better and more loyal," Jack bragged.

Vivi simply glanced at him and replied flatly, "Oh?" before resuming her meal.

Jack's friend patted his shoulder. "Let it go, man."

Olivia had seen the entire exchange. When Vivi's eyes briefly met hers, Olivia quickly looked away. But her graceful aura still drew attention, even Jack mistook her reaction as interest.

Olivia quickly left the cafeteria.

On her way through the hallway, she bumped into Nia, the student council president.

"Oh, Olivia! How's your first day going? You seem to be adjusting quickly," Nia said warmly.

"Thank you, President. I'm just a little surprised by the atmosphere here," Olivia replied, then asked, "Do you know Nic?"

Nia's face lit up. "Nic? He's amazing—kind, talented, and super thoughtful."

Hearing that, Olivia felt even more curious. Her thoughts drifted back to the drawing.

Without realizing, she muttered, "Why do I feel like I'm falling for him just from a picture... this is weird."

Nia grinned. "Oh? Do you like Nic?"

Olivia jumped, her face turning crimson. "No! I'm just hungry, so I said something weird!" she exclaimed before fleeing.

Nia chuckled, certain that Olivia had already joined the ranks of Nic's admirers.

---

Leona dragged Nic into the clubroom, still grumbling. Violet and Vivi were lounging on the sofa. Vivi noticed Nic's messy hair.

"Nic, what happened to you? You look like you got hit by a tornado."

Leona rolled her eyes. "That's not the point! Vivi, you're his first girlfriend—how do you feel about this flirt flirting with a new girl the moment she walks in?"

Vivi raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Leona, did you forget? Weren't you the same way when you joined?"

"Keugh!" Leona choked on her words, raising her hands in defeat. "That was different! Nic made me like him!"

Violet, sipping juice in the corner, chimed in slyly, "Leona, are you trying to keep Nic all to yourself?"

Leona turned to Nic with a glare. He raised his hands innocently. "Hey, hey, I was just teasing you. That drawing was meant to mess with you."

Just then, Fanny entered holding up the sketch. "Jealous, huh? I am! I want him to draw me too!"

Vivi stood and marched up to Nic. "I should've been drawn first! Remember, Nic?"

Nic laughed nervously. "Yeah, yeah, you're first. I'll just go grab my tools from the classroom."

"I'll go with you," Vivi said firmly.

---

When they arrived, Jack was talking to Olivia at her desk. She smiled faintly, eyes closed, clearly bored.

Vivi crossed her arms. "Jack, what are you doing?"

Jack turned. "What's it to you? Are you jealous?"

Vivi sighed and turned to help Nic find his tools.

Hearing Vivi's voice, Olivia opened her eyes. When her eyes met Nic's, her face flushed again, and her heart skipped a beat. Nic was oblivious, busy packing his art supplies.

Just then, Jack asked confidently, "Do you like me, Olivia?"

Nic, Vivi, and others in the room turned toward them.

Jack, misinterpreting her red face, went on, "I like you, Olivia. I want us to be a couple."

Olivia blinked, confused. "Huh? What?"

Thinking she hadn't heard, Jack repeated louder, "I said I like you and I want to date you!"

But Olivia stood up, bowed politely, and said, "Sorry, Jack. I already like someone else."

The room fell silent.

Jack clenched his fists, slammed the desk, and stormed out, humiliated.

---

Vivi sauntered over with a teasing smile. "So… who do you like..?"

Olivia stayed quiet, clutching the hem of her skirt.

Vivi leaned in and whispered, "Is it Nic?"

Olivia's cheeks flared red. Vivi grinned, satisfied. "So that's what Leona meant," she muttered, walking away.

Nic called out, "Eh? Vivi? Where are you going?"

Vivi waved, saying nothing.

As Nic grabbed his supplies and turned to leave, Olivia called softly, "Nic… wait."

He paused. "What?"

Olivia looked down, speaking in a near whisper. "Do you… have a moment to talk?"

To be continued...
