Cheat Million Love

Chapter 29: Ch.29 : First Date with Vivi

The next morning, Eliz and Lizzie started panicking when they saw Nic still lying there motionless. They shook his body gently, but he didn't wake up. Just as Lizzie was getting truly worried, she noticed Nic's phone glowing with a message on the screen.

"I'm okay. I'll wake up late because I'm training focus in the dream world."

Both Eliz and Lizzie exchanged confused looks.

"What the heck does 'training focus in the dream world' mean?" Lizzie muttered.

Not long after, Nic finally woke up to find himself in Eliz's bedroom instead of the storage room. He quickly sat up and walked out to the living room, where Lizzie was waiting for him.

She smiled. "Finally awake! So, how was dreamland?"

Nic chuckled. "I fought a ten-headed dragon."

Lizzie burst out laughing. "Well, sounds productive." She then added, "Eliz already left for school. If you wanna head home, go ahead."

Nic nodded, thanked her, and left for home.

When he got to his front door, he sensed something strange about the energy inside. As soon as he stepped in, he was greeted by the icy stares of Kiara and Daniella.

Kiara walked up and said seriously, "Nic, I need you to be honest with me."

Nic blinked, confused. "About what?"

Kiara grabbed his hand and pulled him over to the TV. On screen, a news report was playing. It showed a group of school kids identified as the Deathly Gang, known for harassing people near the gym area. The report said the gang had been taken down—by a student from Solis Academy.

Of course, that student was Nic.

He stared at the screen, stunned. So the whole thing made the news? Turned out, a drone had been recording everything during the fight.

"So?" Kiara said sharply. "Got anything to say for yourself?"

Nic raised both hands. "I'm sorry. They started it. I was just defending myself… and I couldn't let them mess with my girlfriend."

Daniella, who'd been silent, suddenly grinned and patted Nic's head. "You're amazing, Nic. That's what I call a real man."

She gave him a big thumbs-up, but Kiara still looked worried.

"Even so, don't put yourself in danger like that. It's too risky. I was really worried about you," she said, voice filled with concern.

Nic pulled her into a hug. "Don't worry, sis. I was trained by the best."

Kiara softened, hugging him back with a tearful smile. Daniella just watched, smiling at the sweet scene.

---

News of Nic's battle with the Deathly Gang spread quickly at school. Students were buzzing, and the Unity Club was especially chaotic.

All of Nic's girlfriends had gathered, including Eliz—who looked a little worn out after being flattened by Fanny earlier. Lily was the most excited of all.

"Nic is totally a war god's chosen one! A warrior of justice! My boyfriend is sooo cool!"

Fanny rolled her eyes and growled, "Can you shut up already?"

Lily snapped back, "Eliz already apologized! Why are you still bullying her?"

Eliz stood up, frustrated. "I *said* I was sorry! Why are you the one still mad?"

She looked to Raina for support, since they were classmates, but Raina just stayed quiet—clearly intimidated by Fanny.

Olivia stepped in calmly. "That's enough, Fanny. I'm sure Nic already forgave Eliz. Let's not drag this out."

Yui suddenly stood up and held up a drawing—a picture of all thirteen of them with Nic. Violet, curious, asked, "Are you planning to fill that whole thing?"

Leona smiled. "Yui's serious about this. She's not even mad at Eliz."

Yui beamed. "I don't want to let Nic down. He accepted me into this club, and I love it here. So I won't complain."

Just then, Mika showed up carrying a mountain of burgers. "Lunchtime!"

Lily screamed, "Burgers again?! Are you trying to make us fat!?"

Mika shoved a burger in her mouth. "Then start working out, you delusional gremlin."

Jenny, amused, leaned over. "Hey, me too! Stuff one in my mouth!"

Laughter filled the Unity Clubroom again, the cheerful chaos resuming like always.

---

The next day, Nic messaged Vivi, inviting her to meet him at the park on their day off. That night, before bed, he carefully prepared—reviewing everything he knew about what Vivi liked and didn't like. He wanted their first date to be perfect.

When the day came, Nic waited nervously at the park. Then Vivi arrived, looking cheerful with her short pink hair neatly styled. Before Nic could even apologize for not asking her out sooner, Vivi gently placed a finger on his lips.

"No need to say sorry. Let's just go," she said with a warm smile.

Relieved, Nic smiled back. They boarded a train to a special destination: a high-profile basketball match featuring international pro teams.

---

Inside the arena, the energy was electric. Nic and Vivi were hyped to watch their favorite team—the Sakers—play. The skills and moves on display left them both speechless, especially when the halftime show began with a dunk contest.

Then, the host asked for a random audience member to come try a dunk. Vivi pointed at Nic and waved frantically.

And just like that—Nic got picked.

She jumped to her feet, cheering louder than anyone.

Nic stepped onto the court with confidence. His "God of Basketball" skill activated immediately, his body moving with the grace and power of a true legend.

He leapt high, spun midair, and delivered a jaw-dropping dunk.

The crowd roared in applause, the arena erupting with cheers.

But in the middle of that excitement, Vivi froze.

Tears welled in her eyes. That dunk... it was identical to the last one her grandfather made before passing away. Except this time, it was done perfectly—by Nic.

She bit her lip, trying to hold back the flood of emotion.

After the dunk, Nic bowed, overwhelmed by the audience's reaction. He even received a gift—two signed Sakers jerseys.

With a huge smile, he ran to Vivi and handed her one.

Vivi immediately hugged him tight. "Thank you, Nic… That dunk really meant something to me," she whispered.

Nic gently patted her head. Just knowing he made her that happy was enough for him.

---

After the game, they continued their date at the arcade. From mini basketball to bowling to karaoke, they tried everything. Vivi's laughter was contagious, and to Nic, it felt like the best day of his life.

Later that evening, they went to an amusement park and rode the Ferris wheel.

But when it reached the very top—it suddenly stopped.

Vivi started to panic, gripping the seat tightly with trembling hands.

"It's okay. This usually only takes a few minutes," Nic said calmly, reaching for her hand.

He gently poked her cheek, trying to distract her. "Look over there. The moon tonight… it's beautiful, huh? Just like you."

Vivi blushed and smiled shyly. "Thank you, Nic… I'm really happy today."

"I should be thanking *you*, Vivi. For being my first girlfriend. Sorry if I've been annoying or made you mad before."

Vivi giggled. "I'm sorry too—for not even noticing you in the club back then. But now, I know how awesome you are."

Nic laughed softly. "I used to be a loser back then."

Vivi pinched his cheek. "No such thing as a loser. You're amazing, Nic."

They kept talking and laughing until the Ferris wheel started moving again.

That night wasn't just fun—it became a memory they would never forget. A beautiful moment that brought their hearts even closer.
