BANG BANG! CRACK!
“Gasp!”
Startled by the loud noise, Idam quickly looked in that direction. Through the cracked wooden door, a sinister black axe blade was visible. Even though it was wood, it seemed unbelievable that a door guarding a space could be torn like paper.
Idam’s fear peaked, and he felt like his heart would stop and he might faint, but he bit his tongue to try to stay conscious. He couldn’t just die here without a fight. Looking around for any other way out, he spotted a window beside him. It wasn’t very large, but it seemed big enough to escape through.
Idam grabbed the window frame to open it. But it stubbornly wouldn’t budge. He checked if it was locked, but it wasn’t. It seemed firmly fixed as if nailed shut from the outside.
“Why, why won’t it open…?”
Tears began to form in Idam’s anxious eyes. Behind him, the sound of the door being smashed grew louder. When he looked back to see how far Taemin’s madness had progressed, the door was turning into tatters.
It felt like the moment of death was approaching, and Idam felt dizzy. As he shuffled his feet in panic, something hit his foot. It felt hard and cold. Idam bent down to check what it was. It was a hammer.
* * *
Just as Taemin, having nearly destroyed the door, was reaching through the gap to unlock it…
CRASH!
The sound of shattering glass was heard. Sensing something unpleasant had happened, Taemin hurriedly entered. The window in the corner was badly broken. And from outside came the sound of frantic footsteps.
“Ha.”
Taemin’s blue eyes cooled and sank. He approached the broken window and looked outside.
He could see Idam’s back as he ran through the rain. His thin, small body was surprisingly agile. Taemin wondered why he was pushing himself so hard when he wasn’t well. Moreover, he was irritated by the sight of Idam’s bare feet, blackened from running without shoes.
“I’ll have to wash his feet first when I catch him.”
Muttering this, he tried to go out through the window Idam had used, but it was too small for his build, so he gave up. Instead, he went out through the door he had smashed and chased after Idam.
Idam’s pleasant scent was leaking out again, as if his pheromones had been released once more. Thanks to this, the scent acted as a guide, making it easy to follow him.
Even in the rain, this fragrance was like bright spring sunshine. It was similar to the scent he had smelled in that hotel room. Because of this, Taemin recalled that night.
Taemin, who had planned to leisurely devour Idam, felt annoyed when Han Jiwoo, whom he had caught, escaped once more and came to the room. Judging that there was no luxury in keeping him alive now that he had recovered the SD card, Taemin killed Han Jiwoo. The omega who witnessed this scene immediately fainted. Sensing the seriousness of the situation, Taemin called his friend, Im Hoyoung.
Soon after entering the room, Im Hoyoung examined the omega’s condition. He diagnosed it as vasovagal syncope and said that if this state lasted more than a day or if there were any abnormalities after waking up, they should transfer him to a hospital for examination.
‘It would be strange if he wasn’t affected at all after seeing someone die right in front of him. I would have foamed at the mouth.’
Im Hoyoung was horrified looking at the bloodstains on the floor.
‘It wasn’t a person, it was a bug.’
Taemin responded indifferently, gazing intensely at the omega. That’s when it happened.
‘Ugh!’
Im Hoyoung groaned and collapsed on the spot. Taemin looked at him quizzically. His complexion was very bad as he covered his mouth with his hand.
‘What’s suddenly wrong with you?’
‘Haah… I don’t know, suddenly I feel hot and it’s hard to breathe. What’s this pheromone? Is it from this omega?’
Taemin nodded calmly.
‘Haah.’
Im Hoyoung couldn’t say more and just breathed heavily. Taemin found his reaction strange. To him, the pheromone was infinitely sweet and bright.
‘I only find it pleasant though?’
‘Are you crazy?’
Im Hoyoung staggered closer to the omega and placed his hand on his nape to check.
‘He’s an extremely heated omega.’
‘Extremely heated?’
This omega had clearly introduced himself as a dominant omega. Moreover, if he was extremely heated, it matched the traits of the omegas his father had been selecting all this time.
‘I can’t stay here any longer.’
Im Hoyoung, groaning, fled the room as if escaping. Taemin was puzzled by his behavior but couldn’t take his eyes off the omega.
‘This is an extremely heated omega?’
Im Hoyoung, known as quite a competent omega specialist, wouldn’t have misidentified the trait. Did this omega lie about his trait?
Judging from the phone call with Han Jiwoo and the omega named Jang Hahyun, it seemed this omega had filled in for the originally scheduled Jang Hahyun. As a result, it appeared he had lied not only about his identity but also his trait. Already intensely interested, Taemin felt even more drawn to him upon realizing he had lied.
In the end, he called Secretary Kang again and requested a background check on this omega. Secretary Kang seemed puzzled but agreed and withdrew.
Taemin embraced the omega and waited for him to wake up. When he opened his eyes, Taemin planned to ask for his contact information and steer the conversation towards continuing to meet.
Taemin wasn’t particularly swayed by traits. Rather, he didn’t understand those who praised extreme dominance and looked down on extreme heat. He thought humans were three-dimensional, and their existence was the result of a combination of various factors. He was just uncomfortable with omegas because his body couldn’t accept their pheromones. So the trait of this omega in his arms wasn’t an obstacle for him.
However. This cunning omega, unaware of Taemin’s feelings, woke up while he was asleep. He even fondled Taemin’s penis before quickly running away. Taemin was shocked and dumbfounded. He was angry, but also felt a rising desire to smell the fairy’s scent once more and catch him.
And now, the regret he felt at that time was awakening again.
I will definitely catch him.
He stared at Idam’s back as he ran through the rain. It was as if he could see transparent wings on his thin back. And so, he sprinted after Idam’s fluttering wings.
* * *
“Huff, huff!”
Idam ran with all his might. Although he was good at sports, he was especially confident in running. He had been so talented that he was an ace in the track and field club during school. His teacher had even suggested he consider applying to a physical education university. But now, barefoot and unwell, he couldn’t even display half of his usual ability.
“Haa, haa.”
Gradually, breathing became difficult. His vision darkened. His balance was failing.
Finally, Idam’s toe caught on a round stone, and he fell forward. He lay face down on the damp grass.
“Ah…”
Only then did he realize the pheromones leaking from his body. His current abnormal state seemed to be affecting his pheromone glands. Just as he managed to contain his pheromones and tried to get up, he sensed a presence behind him.
“Finally stopped, huh?”
It was Taemin.
Idam, breathing heavily, was overwhelmed with a sense of defeat.
It’s over.
He felt like he might burst into tears from frustration, but he swallowed hard and held them back. However, he couldn’t do anything about the tears already welling up in his eyes. As a result, he ended up crying silently. But since he wasn’t completely caught yet, a stubborn desire not to give up awakened. If there was even a slight gap, he wanted to break through and run away. Wondering how far Taemin was from him, Idam slightly turned his head to look back.
“Gasp!”
He was terrified and gasped. There was a vicious-looking axe in Taemin’s hand. It was the tool he had used to break down the shed door earlier. Fear washed over him like a wave. The bloody images of Han Jiwoo and Heo Jitae flashed before his eyes. His legs weakened as he imagined himself becoming the third corpse.
I don’t want to die. I don’t want to die. I don’t want to die.
An desperate desire to live blossomed. The reason he had endured his tough life so persistently until now was because he wanted to fulfill his mother’s wish for him not to follow her too quickly.
But he couldn’t overpower Taemin with force now. The only option was to beg and plead for his life until his palms were smooth from pressing them together. And then look for a chance to slip away like a loach. It could be seen as one step back for two steps forward.
Idam raised himself to a kneeling position and gently turned around. In doing so, he came face to face with Taemin.
Taemin looked Idam up and down. His beautiful head shape was accentuated by his rain-soaked hair. His thin pajamas, also wet, revealed his skin underneath and showed off his fine body lines. Suddenly, Taemin thought he’d like to see Idam soaked in his semen rather than rain.
And his face? His large, wet eyes were like carefully crafted glass beads, and his trembling, drooping lips glistened invitingly. Moreover, his glossy, plump cheeks greatly stimulated Taemin’s sense of touch. He reached out to touch them.
Idam shuddered and backed away. Taemin’s mood sank at being rejected.
Why was he running away so desperately? Taemin only wanted to comfort Idam, who was suffering from his heat cycle.
“Haa… Haa.”
Meanwhile, Idam’s fear intensified even more. He thought Taemin had raised his hand to slap his cheek.
He’s still scary, so scary. Moreover, the axe blade in his hand looked increasingly terrifying.
Suddenly, he wondered if Taemin would show mercy even if he begged profusely. Rather, he felt like he might be sent to the afterlife with that axe cleaving his head.
It would be mad to keep running with this harsh weather and his unwell body. He knew this very well, but he couldn’t calm his rising fear. In the end, Idam chose to turn his back on Taemin and run away again. He ran until his legs felt like they would break.
“Ha… Shit.”
Taemin roughly pushed his hair back as he watched Idam’s retreating figure. Hot madness surged in his deepening blue eyes.
“Maybe if I cut him somewhere, he won’t be able to run away?”
