Chapter 14: Eximimus queen
As the eximimus queen finally brought her gigantic leg down Cades evaded and struck at that very same leg as fast and as strong as he could.
His strike left a gash behind out of which dark red blood finally began to flow, but the eximimus queen was so humongous that the gash Cades had left behind was not even halfway through the legs of the ancient spider queen.
But it was enough to affect the mobility of the queen, she halted and Cades took that chance to jump up on top of her back and once again strike in the very same place which he had previously attacked dozens of times over.
There, on top of her back was already a gashing, wide hole, about a dozen feet deep and five feet in diameter, the spider could not reach him with her legs anymore, no matter what it tried.
He could already feel the spider starting to despair, not even thinking about rolling, over as he struck dozens of times every single second, the gaping hole went deeper and deeper and a lake of blood began flowing in from all sides but Cades did not care about that.
He only cared about his goal.
The burns had disfigured his body, his wings barely capable of flying and the poison of the spider that was mixed with the blood began to make him feel even greater pain that all of that, but nevertheless he could feel that he was getting closer and closer to finally killing the ancient goliath which once seemed unkillable to him.
With each of the strikes a deafening boom was sent through the ancient forest and thousands of lesser monsters began running away from the clash of the two supreme monsters.
But finally, the ancient queens legs began to cave in and her whole body lowered itself, violently crashing into the ground with her right side first.
And, in the end, the dark eyes of the spider that were violently darting around just a few seconds prior finally stopped moving, forever.
After she finally laid on her side the blood that had collected inside the hole on top of her finally began to gush out of her, and a few seconds after the blood had flown into the river and turned it bloodred a soaking Cades craweled out of the monster after having left his almost broken blade inside of the corpse.
He crawled a few feet away from the continuous stream of the poisonous blood and stood up once more.
Cades was barely able to move but he registered that a violet string went out of the corpse of the monster and descended into his own body.
Once more, his exhaustion thinned out, the broken bones realigned and he grew much, much stronger.
He was now at the absolute peak of the tenth sequence.
The tenth sequence is the limit of all those that the gods but Cades felt that they engravings on his body had no sich limitation
Cades could feel that he was quite far away from it but he realized that he had no more limitations in relation to his growth and neither did he in his acquisition of knowledge.
He could feel the next step in his growth, one that no ehetrian had ever reached before, except for the ancient heroes which were only talked about in legends, myths and the epics of bards travelling through the land.
Cades, however, was not in the mood to think about that.
He might've been fine physically, but mentally his mind was completely exhausted.
He took a step forward but simply fell down.
When Cades awoke a few hours later, there were no monsters nearby, they would've never come close to the corpse of the ancient goliath and they already knew that Cades was dangerous without a singular doubt in their primitive minds.
As he awoke he took a step towards the queens body out of which blood was still flowing after all this time, all be it just a small trickle.
The once proud mother was now no more.
Cades quietly got to work on dissecting the huge body.
Just a few hours ago he was barely able to cut it but now that all of its mana had left the body and he himself had grown far stronger he was able to easily cut it, although it was still a difficult task, just because of how truly humongous its body had been.
While Cades was cutting through the giant slabs of flesh he had finally reached its mana organ, which was about 1.5 times as big as cades himself.
The organ looked like a slimy pulsating sack of skin.
And inside of it there was a huge dark blue mana stone with an diameter of about two feet.
Sadly, the mana stone was of a considerably lower quality than the ones he had found before but it could still be used to create some lower ranking items to sell and gain some money for his journey later on, at least that was what he was planning right now.
Cades bound the ancient stone using parts of the queens digestive track which he had previously dried out using a fire spell and began flying towards where he had buried his other artifacts.
Now that he finally had everything he spread his large wings and with one powerful flap downwards he sent himself into the air holding the box and having the stone bound to his body.
He quickly began flying higher and higher, eventually he could see the entire region in which he had spent three weeks and four days fighting for his life, hunting thomisides, barely surviving each day and at the end even defeating an opponent he never thought would be able to defeat, and all of that in just a month.
The corpse of the ancient queen was still visible from all the way up in the sky, there had been many possible artifacts that he could have made using its body but he was barely able to take any of the materials, excluding the humongous mana stone, because of the sheer amount.
Then he finally arrived at the warp train station.
The station was a simple stone slab, but it was engraved with incredibly complex runic sequences that would allow cades to teleport himself to teleport himself to the next planet or dimension that the warp train was going to travel to.
Cades got ready, stepped onto the stone slab located right next to a blue sea and started pumping his mana into it.
