Cursed to level 1 with an Ego weapon

The room I was given is enormous. I stand there, admiring it for a few seconds, while taking in what commodities they gave me.

A big bed, a huge one at that, all for myself.

"Are they really letting me borrow this room?"

I check it... Soft, bouncy.

I throw myself into it.

...is the best bed I have ever felt.

There is a huge window on the other side. I go in and it opens into a balcony where I can see the city!

"Being a hero pays off!"

To think that mom always said that playing video games for hours would bring me nothing. Now I can use a chamber in a royal palace!

There are other things. An empty walk-in wardrobe, a sturdy desk to write documents in, and a big body mirror.

Plans for the next steps.

I sit on the bed to think.

Maybe a mage in town can have some pointers on what happened to me. I am making the assumption that this is a possible power from a possible deity.

My character does not follow any deity... I never took the time to choose one. Probably my biggest mistake because I need to grind their favor.

"I need to ask around... When Kathrina comes here, I will make sure to tell her that I come from another world too."

I feel I should if we are going to continue traveling.

If, of course. She wanted to get into the same inn as me.

I look at the bed.

We just met... But she is a cute girl and she already teased me, maybe something could...

What am I thinking? We just met today. It is usually not that easy.

I check myself again by lifting the kimono and see under there...

"Dammit... I am not sure if I want someone else to see me like this anyway."

I stand up and walk to the mirror.

I see myself. Fox ears, the tail that is annoyingly dancing behind me. Red hair. I was a bit taller on Earth than here.

It doesn't help that I am cute. I designed Amber in the game, after all.

I pull the kimono on my back so it sticks to my figure.

Lean, medium-sized chest, good hips and waist...

At least I look good.

While inspecting my new body, an idea passes through my mind.

It is completely different from what I was on Earth. I was a guy there; here I am a woman.

Maybe I will be alone for a while...

I always wondered how it would feel if I were a girl...

I open the top of my kimono, slowly revealing the soft skin underneath it.

Am I really going to do this?

The curiosity has me both scared and wanting to test it. This is my new body, I need to check it out.

I lower the top part of my kimono enough, opening it until my breasts are visible in the mirror. I can see myself, my face is red, and I am getting aroused by my image.

I want to start with something simple... So I reach for-

The door shuts open.

GOD DAMMIT!

Someone enters the room.

"Miss Amber~!" Someone enters the room, singing my name.

I quickly cover myself while my face is red as a tomato.

"A-AAHHH! K-KNOCK BEFORE YOU ENTER!"

Who entered was a woman dressed in royal clothes, a big white dress. Her hair is long and dark red, her eyes brown. She is a beautiful woman.

She is looking at me, eyes wide in surprise because of my outburst, but then she laughs.

"O-oh my... Did I catch you taking care of some private business, old friend?"

YES, GET OUT!

"No, you didn't, Princess Orianna Bourbon."

I am still with my arms holding my kimono shut, as if trying to make sure I had a shield.

I recognize her from the game.

The princess from the Kingdom of Bellinor. A beautiful woman.

And I obviously cannot yell at her that much for interrupting me.

Her mother died during the invasion a few years back, and only she and her father survived the assault on the palace with a few guards. It was right then, when I reached town in the game, that this was happening.

The game was capable of setting up events like that.

"No need for such formalities, Amber! Is because of you, my father and I we're still alive!"

"Ah... Right."

She is talking to me like we have known each other for years. Technically, it is true, but from my perspective, she was mostly a quest dispenser and a way to reduce taxes on property. I didn't have one, but she was one.

Before this, she was just a bunch of 1s and 0s.

She is the first NPC I recognize from the game, and it is uncanny how alive she looks and moves.

"Sorry, my friend, for not being able to approach you as soon as you got here. I have been busy with some preparations for an upcoming event in the palace."

"And what about your father, the King?"

"He is busy as well. A lot has happened since you came here last. You have no idea."

She sighs with her eyes closed.

"Come! You must be hungry! I asked a maid to get the kitchen cooking something for you immediately when I heard you arrived."

As if in response, my stomach growls. I haven't eaten a bite since my arrival.

"Y-yeah, I could use a bite..."

"Good! Follow me! Cannot have you talking about business with an empty stomach!"

I follow her. I make sure that Bloodless is back into my inventory and Inam not carrying anything outside of it.

"The palace seems to be doing good..." I answer while looking around.

"All thanks to you!" Orianna gladly answers while guiding me. "If it wasn't for you, who knows where we would be! The kingdom has been prospering and continues growing since that day. Thank you, Amber!"

"I-it's nothing... Really!"

I scratch the back of my head.

My eyes then catch a glimpse of something moving. I look at a corridor we were about to pass... I think I see a show there... But when we pass, no one is there.
