Cursed to level 1 with an Ego weapon

Waiting for the dragon to stand up was not an option. That thing needs to go down.

Back to my rings, I go through the list and find it.

Items and weapons have a rarity quality. The rarity increases their power and amount of natural enhancements.

Once it has a name like (Grand Maestro), in parentheses, it is a Mistyc.; if it is in brackets, it is Godlike.

The ring is a Mistyc, and the rest of its name gave a clue on what it does. I do not check it, but I know it gives me more magic power and elemental damage plus some resistance penetration. Mistyc items are powerful like that. Imagine Godlike.

And what about the sword in my hand?

I am meant to be a spellcaster. Why would I need a sword?

Its name is [Black steel Wakizashi "Bloodless"].

And this is a weapon in a different category entirely. When a name is written between apostrophesrophes means you are lucky.

"Bloodless" is an Ego Weapon, meaning it levels up and becomes more powerful. Is still young, only 1 level, but it came with increased elemental damage, Magic buff when touching the blade... and that first level I used it to give +5 to Spell Weaving, the skill that increases magic damage.

They are quite rare. In my 4 characters that I have created, counting Amber, this is the first Ego item I have ever found and I have poured weeks of gameplay in this game per character.

Similar messages from the ones in the gam. They say what I knew was going to happen. It just alerts me on changes in my stats.

"You are a mage. Can you hurt it?" She asks.

"Yes! Protect me and I will kill it!"

The dragon got up.

I am sure I can take on it! I have fought them in the game, and a lot of its elements are translating to here!

"Oh, mother Ellen! Bless your children with your aim and protection!" She is praying.

A golden light engulfes us.

That was a holy spell! I thought she was just a warrior... But maybe she is something else!

I prepare to cast my spell. This one was more complicated.

Young dragons are, obviously, not as powerful as their adult versions. But they still had a few caveats.

First are the resistances: Youn Dragons are resistant to everything to a high degree. That is what Grand Maestro is for. It gives me Penetration for every elemental damage type.

Second is the HP Pool: That is where "Bloodless", with increased damage and a buff to my casting skill, comes into play.

Every time I used Bloodless in the game, I imagined it like I am doing it now.

Both fingers in the backside of the blade, where there is no edge. Then I focus my mind and remember the words.

I start to say the sigils engraved in my mind, that translate roughly to: "By the command of the trifecta, I command the element of the piercing cold..."

From my feet, magic energy starts to pour out into the ambience. The tip of my fingers,

Kathrina rushes towards the dragon, which was preparing to breathe fire at us once more. With a mighty stand, she jumps up with her shield up and manages the hit the beast in the chin. It breathes, but the fire is launched to the air in a large fireball.

"...to heed my order and freeze my enemies..." I move my fingers, from the handle to the pointy end. The magic courses through it and then goes back to me. I feel the sudden surge of the magic coming at me.

"... [Oghdir's Ice Fall]!"

Clouds gathered over the dragon and the temperature lowered even more. When my fingers slide through the tip, and the physical contact gets lost, the magical energy from Bloodless releases.

Several ice shards form over the dragon. They gather and form three giant ones with a very sharp point.

The dragon notices them, but it is late! They fall on it and pierce through its skin and go through its body, pinning it to the burned ground!

[You called forth the element of Ice! The magic Ice pierces through Young Dragon defenses! It is critically injured (-41078)! Its resistances are lowered!!]

"Get away from it!" I say to Kathrina and start to chant the next magic words to finish it.

"I call upon the fiery fires of the world's core! Burn my enemies to ashes in accordance to the old alliance!" I do the same movement with my sword. "[Fileria's Raging Inferno]!"

The dragon tried to fight against the ice shards holding it in place, screaming in complaint and pain.

[Young Dragon breathes fire!]

It attempts one last time to kill us, but...

[Kathrina creates a Holy Shield in front of herself! She is unscathed!]

She blocked it with her holy magic!

Red smoke starts to appear and gather on top of the dragon. It becomes a small red ball.

Kathrina sees this, and immediately grabs me by the shoulder.

"H-hey?! What are you doing?!" I ask in surprise.

She pulls me with force I did not imagine she could have. And runs towards the unconscious man, who is still on the ground. She crouches and picks him up on her shoulder.

The ball is getting bigger.

"Run!" She yells.

Why?

Then I remember what I just cast... I got in the moment.

We start to run, taking distance. The woman who escaped is there, observing us. Kathrina gives her a signal to run away, and she complies.

We go a couple of meters... And we hear the loud explosion that manages to shake the ground and send a shockwave. In the sky, over the trees, I can see the flaming tower that rises before dissipating.

[You called forth the Element of Fire! Something gets burned to death (-62123)! Something dies in fiery fire!]

[Spell Weaving +1! Now is level 51!]

[Concentration +1! Now is level 47!]

[Filera's Raging Inferno +1! Now is level 26]

[Magic increases by 1 point! Now your Magic stat is Level 47!]

"Holy shit..." I say in surprise when I feel the vibration of the explosion pass through my body.

I forgot why I did not use that spell often... I almost killed myself once. I just got overconfident and wanted to see how my strongest fire spell worked... And it does, holy shit.

"I-is that monster dead?" Asks the woman.

"I think so..." Kathrina answers, who is still in shock.

"It is..." I confirm.

I am impressed. I just killed a dragon. A young one, but I did.
