Danmachi: Goliath

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Blessed

Like I had expected. The moment I unlocked my complete floor 12 map, I found the Infant dragon. It was all the way across the map, but that's not something I mind. I was in need of some good running.

"Time to let my alpha out."

I dropped to all fours, my massive palms pressed against the cold dungeon floor, and then I pushed myself forward with the tip of my toe, my body parallel to the ground with my arms fully extended. I crossed more than 7 meters forward before my palms touched the rocky ground once more with a thud. Then, balancing on my palm, I pulled my legs forward, my feet slamming onto the ground beside each of my palms, then from that position I pushed myself forward.

This was the running sequence I was using, and despite its size, my body moved with fluidity. My toes barely touched the ground, the tips pressing in just enough for traction before leaping forward, with my palms scrapping slightly on the dungeon ground as I landed.

Nothing a drop from one of my elixirs won't fix.

My speed, even while using this 'beast-like' movement, was terrifying, surpassing the fastest humans back on Earth—faster than Usain Bolt in his prime. No, I was moving faster than a gray wolf at 38 miles per hour, but this was nothing compared to what I was capable of.

With my level 0 agility being on par with a high-agility level 2 adventurer, I have run much faster before—during the Evilus attack, I peaked at 150 mph, though I couldn't maintain that speed for long. Without the gauntlet weighing me down, I could hit those speeds again and go faster.

But today, I wanted the fun of the chase, but it would be boring to run like a human, wouldn't it?

The ground flew beneath me, my back muscles supporting my weight, keeping me balanced as I zigzagged through the dungeon. While I maintained a 'stride' of 10 meter jump, the interval between these stride circles grew shorter as I built up speed.

0.5 seconds for each stride, 20 meters crossed in a second, 45 mph.

0.45 seconds per stride, 50 mph.

0.37 second, 60 mph.

Why didn't I increase my stride length to be more than 10 meters? Because it will look less coll if I fly for 15 meters before landing and flying again. It would look like I am frog-jumping, but fast. This way, I am more like the alpha I am.

The more I got used to it, the more fluid my movements became, allowing me to maneuver with ease. As I approached a tunnel leading to another room, I leaned into the turn, shifting my weight, my muscles responding instantly.

Entering the tunnel, I launched myself from the ground to the left wall, my palms and feet barely grazing the rough stone surface before I pushed off again, launching myself toward the ceiling. I twisted effortlessly, barely touching the ceiling with my fingers before propelling myself to the right wall, then back to the ground, and again up to the left wall. All the while, I kept moving forward, my body spiraling in a continuous motion through the tunnel across its walls.

If I were Delsin Rowe, I would've left a neon trail behind me, a streak of light marking my rapid, seamless path along the walls and ceiling. God, I miss that game. Neon, Video, Paper, Concrete, Napalm. So much unique power.

"HAHAHA!" I laughed as I zipped past a group of three level 1 adventurers struggling to kill a pack of imps.

"What the fuck!?" A man roared.

"Ugh! What is that!?" A woman questioned, but I didn't care.

"I AM the alpha wolf!" I laughed, not even slowing down, "Always have been, always will be! HAHAHA!" I bounded past them, up up and away, still running on all fours.

Now that I was fully used to it, my speed had skyrocketed, reaching near cheetah-level at 70 mph, then peaking at 85 mph. It was insane how fast I was moving, but even at these speeds, my reflexes were still sharp, allowing me to zip past monsters, weaving through massive rooms and long tunnels as I followed the map.

It will still take a while for me to reach the dragon, because floor 12 was enormous—about approximately 12 times that of floor one and 252 square miles on the map. For better understanding of the floor size, it is roughly the size of the entire city of Chicago, Illinois which covers about 231 square miles—this includes the city dense urban area, parks, neighborhoods, and waterfront.

For another better and a much clearer understanding, 252 square miles is equivalent to about 122,182 American football fields.

If each floor continued to multiply in size like this, then floor 37 would be the size of NYC and floor 50… well, that shit could be the size of Rhode Island. And unlike the upper floor, the lower you go, the less 'rooms' each floor has, with each room now larger. Then it becomes one massive room with different 'areas' or 'biomes' that can stretch for multiple floors. Like the 25th through 27th Floors known as the Water City.

Now I see why it would take hours to go from floor one to 18, especially if you have to 'manually' avoid monsters unlike me that already know where they are before even stepping foot in the dungeon.

Even wish that, I wish I had some kind of map teleportation skill, so I could teleport straight to where the Infant Dragon was. Even a skill like 'Grand Starfall' will be better than running. Yes, it's fun, but it could always be better.

After several minutes—maybe ten, maybe more, I wasn't keeping track—I found myself atop a hill overlooking the expanse of a room. In the distance, the edge of the room was barely visible, and the rocky landscape below was scattered with skeleton-like trees, their pure white branches extending into the mist that filled the area. Some of the trees stretched as high as ten meters, and walking past one of these trees was a small 'Drake.'

It stood around 2 meters tall from the tip of its horn to the ground when its head is fully extended, measures more than 3 meters in body length, its tail being slightly longer than its body at around 3.3 meters, for a total of 6.3 meters length.

Its scales are small and tightly packed, forming a protective yet flexible armor over its muscular frame, being, vivid, almost fiery orange. The dragon's muscles are well-defined, its legs sturdy and robust with sharp, curved black claws, with two prominent horns on its head, which are also orange but slightly darker than its body.

Its eyes are a piercing yellow with slit pupils, with its underside being a slightly lighter shade of orange, almost a pale amber, and appears to be less heavily scaled but still protected. This lighter coloration extends from its throat down to the base of its tail, and it has no wings.

This monster was by far the largest I have ever seen in this dungeon. It has the stride, the aura, the dignity of a monster Rex. The alpha of this floor. But they can only be one alpha.

"AWOOOO!!!"

My alpha howl sounded through the entire room, drawing the drake's attention. It turned to me, and our eyes met. It understood why I was here, and it didn't seem to like that.

Then it roared, a sound that seemed to shake the room's wall. Definitely more menacing than mine. I will give it a point for that, but the alpha never loses! NEVER!

I immediately jumped from the hill, falling more than 20 meters and landing on the ground with a roll, stopping on all fours about 30 meters from the Infant Dragon. From the map, this dragon is a level 2, just like I am. I could beat it quite easily while fully geared, but—

Un-equip everything!

An alpha fights another alpha, fare and square.

"AWOOOO!"

With a deep inhalation that seemed to draw the very air from the surroundings, the dragon's head reared back. The interior of its throat glowed a menacing orange, its nostrils flared, and it swiftly lowered its massive head, aiming directly at me.

All this happened in less than a second, and then flames erupted from its maw with a deafening roar. A long, continuous stream of intensely bright and overwhelmingly hot flames reached me, but I swiftly moved to the side as it blasted past where I once stood.

Still on all fours, I dashed to the side as the dragon moved its head, the flames trailing behind and then, when it stopped to regain its breath, I pushed off the ground, appearing more than 7 meters in the air above it.

"Alpha's Falling Punch!"

I plummeted like a comet down on the dragon's head, but it regained its breath just in time for it to jump back sharply as I slammed into the ground, sending a shockwave through the area, the earth trembling under the force of my.

The fog cleared instantaneously, debris scattering as the infant dragon instantly charged at me, its head turning sideways, massive jaws opening like scissors ready to cut me in half.

"Too slow!" I rolled to the side, evading the deadly snap of its maw that closed with a sound that resembled a sonic boom, hitting only air. '...' Ok, I should take this seriously.

That can actually kill me if it hits.

The infant quickly moved, raising its right foreleg and brought it down on me, aiming to crush me. However, I pressed O in my controller and simply rolled to the side again, the paw hitting the ground with a force capable of crushing armor, causing the earth to quake.

 As soon as its claw missed me, it swiveled its massive head back around, jaws gaping. I could see the light building in its throat again, which meant one thing: fire incoming.

I pressed off the ground, pushing my bulky body sideways just as a torrent of flame spewed forth, scorching the earth where I'd been crouched a second earlier. The heat seared my skin, and I could practically smell the burnt hair, but it didn't do any real damage to me as I sprinted around on all fours, keeping low.

It roared again, 'Stun.' Another of the dragon's skills that appeared in its encyclopedia. All lower levels who hear it will be stunned, while those at the same level as it will be 'shocked.' Though I am as strong as it is, I am a level 0, so I would have been stunned. However, those with a strong mind can completely ignore it.

Now tell me. Who am I? What's my name!?

The alpha!

Why would an alpha be stunned!?

"Shit, I was stunned!"

The drake bared its fangs and lunged at me, jaws wide open. It was inches from my face when I smirked. "I may have gotten stunned," I said, my hands outstretched, "but it was only for point zero zero zero zero zero one second." My right palm held the top of its maw, the other on the bottom as I stopped it from closing.

Every muscle in my body bulged as I growled, my veins practically popping out as I threw the drake to the side. Its body slammed into the ground with a heavy thud, rolling uncontrollably, scales grinding against the rocky surface and smashing trees.

I immediately dashed toward it, but then I saw its throat light up. Was it trying to shoot me while rolling?

Suddenly, the drake—mid-roll, practically out of control—somehow managed to push itself off the ground, its massive lizard body making one complete sideways rotation in the air. It landed heavily on its legs with its right side facing me, claws digging into the rocky surface for balance.

'How? HOW!?' How can it move like that!?

Before I could react, it twisted its head toward me and unleashed a torrent of fire. The flames erupted in a blinding blaze, surging toward me, the heat enough to singe the surrounding air.

I kicked off the ground, my body rolling to the left just as the inferno blasted past me, a searing orange wave of heat. This time, it didn't keep the flame going as if already knowing I will be able to dodge it and lunged forward, swiping one of its massive forelegs, claws glinting in the low light.

I ducked, narrowly avoiding the claws that sliced through the air above my head, and came up between its forelegs swinging—my fist connecting with the side of its jaw with a bone-rattling crunch.

The impact sent the drake's head snapping to the side, its body staggering, but it quickly recovered, its eyes narrowing with rage. It twisted its body, swinging its head at me. I barely had time to react, bringing my arms up to block as the head slammed into me, the force enough to send me skidding back several meters, my feet digging furrows into the ground.

The moment I stopped, its maw came at me, snapping close the instant after I leaped back to dodge. My feet touched the ground, and it charged at me, its massive body barreling forward like a runaway train. I leapt to the side, the drake's bulk missing me by inches as it crashed past, its claws gouging deep into the earth as it skidded to a stop.

Immediately, I dashed towards it, but the dragon sent its tail towards me like a whip, which I dodged by bending back and letting the tail fly over my chest. Returning to my feet, I continued my charge towards it, and before it could retaliate once more, I was behind it and fell into a slide, sliding under the dragon, stopping right below its abdomen.

"Nine Sword Style: False Sword."

With my arm cocked back, I slammed my knuckles as hard as I could into the dragon's underbelly. The hit, focused through my knuckles, shattered the scales around the impact point, the sound of cracking echoing as shards of orange scales flew in all directions. The drake let out a roar of agony, its body convulsing, and then it dropped, trying to crush me with its massive weight.

'Stupid tactic.' I rolled out from underneath, the ground shaking as the beast's body slammed down, dust and debris flying into the air. I was already on my feet and lunged at the drake's side, grabbing a loose scale and yanking it off with all my strength.

The scale tore away, revealing the tender flesh beneath, and the drake roared, writhing in pain. It tried to swipe at me, but I ducked under the claw, moving in close again.

"Seven Strike Path: Scale Breaker!" I roared, my hands finding two more scales. With a violent jerk, I ripped them off, the sound of tearing scales and the drake's howls of pain filling the chamber. Blood oozed from the exposed patches, and the drake twisted in desperation, trying to dislodge me.

It reared back, its throat glowing again. It was going to try and roast me alive. I wasn't having any of that. I cocked my fist back and slammed it upward into the bottom of its maw just as it opened its mouth. The force of the punch snapped its jaws shut, and the fire meant to engulf me shot out of its nostrils instead, twin streams of flame soaring upward like a pair of majestic, fiery fountains.

With its neck exposed, I reached forward, grabbing two of the largest scales on the drake's throat, my fingers wrapping tightly around them.

"Dragon's Grasp: Scale Rend!" I ripped the scales away, revealing the vulnerable skin beneath. The drake's eyes widened, and before it could react, I raised my hands back and drove the scales back into its flesh like daggers.

The drake let out a deafening roar as it jumped back, its powerful legs propelling it more than twenty meters into the air. The glow in its throat returned, building rapidly as it prepared to unleash another devastating blast of fire.

I darted to the side just as the torrent of flames slammed against where I once stood with a force that literally shook the ground. Noticing a tree, I slammed my shoulder to its trunk, the force snapping it at its lower trunk. As the massive, leafless tree began to fall to the other side, I ran around it, standing under with my arm outstretched above me while facing the trunk

Grabbing the tree as it fell on my palm, my fingers dug into its trucks, locking it in place. I turned to face the dragon that was trying to move its flames towards me, the turret slowly moving across the ground, leaving a trail of burnt brown earth. It would have reached me by now, but I guess the pain on its throat is making it hard.

Well, "Throwing Art:" I tilted my body back, lifting my left foot as I balanced on my right hill, the skeletal crown of the tree touching the ground. "Everything is a Projectile!"

With a roar, I hurled the tree at the drake as its flames stopped. It reached the falling drake in an instant, the broken half of the tree trunk slamming on its abdomen with a resounding boom, multiple scales shattering on impact.

The drake let out a pained roar as it and the tree came crashing to the ground. The tree made contact first, and It landed on top of the tree, its weight shattering and splintering the branches further, some still lodged between its scales.

I was already moving, leaping into the air above its head, my right hand cocked back. "Alpha's Falling Punch!"

I came down hard, my fist slamming into the drake's skull with a resounding crack. The impact sent its head slamming into the ground, and I landed on top of it, the force of my landing driving its snout deeper into the dirt.

Without wasting a moment, I climbed onto its neck, straddling it, my hands grabbing hold of one of its horns. My muscles bulged, veins pumping as I began to pull. The drake roared, thrashing beneath me, its massive body bucking as it tried to throw me off.

"You think you can beat me?!" I roared, my voice echoing through the chamber. "I'm the alpha!"

With a final, mighty heave, I felt a snap. The drake's head bent back at an unnatural angle, the sound of cracking bone filling the air. The drake let out one last, pitiful roar before its body went limp, the fight leaving it completely.

"AWOOOO!" I let out a victorious howl. "Who's the alpha now?!"

Now, it's time for the alpha to recharge. Holding my hand out, a greatsword that had been bathed in blood so much that it permanently turned red appeared in my hand. The sword itself looked like the African Konda sword, with a length of 240 cm, almost my height.

It had a blade length of 180 cm, and the handle, 60 cm in length, featured no additional attachments but was fully knurled along its length. There was no guard or pommel—a weapon I could use, but I wasn't particularly fond of swords.

This was the Common Rank 2 Blood Coated Greatsword, not the first time I had summoned it, but the first time I would use it.

Standing up, I lifted the sword, holding it in front of me with both hands, the ax-like bladed head of the sword facing down toward the drake's skull before plunging the blade down. The edge bit between the dragon's horns, finding a gap in the scales and piercing through, digging deep into its skull.

A sickening crunch filled the air as I continued pushing the blade down slowly, the scales cracking, the bone splintering as it drove deeper into the brain. The wet, pulpy sound of flesh and tissue being carved through echoed, and then there was a metallic 'tink' as the blade tip struck something solid—the magic stone.

'Now,' I pulled the sword up slightly, my muscles bulging as I twisted the blade. Blood splattered out in all directions as I turned it, the wide blade carving a circular hole into the drake's head, crushing bone and shattering more scales. When the full circle was completed, I sent the sword back into my inventory and knelt down, sticking my arm through the gaping hole, now gushing with blood.

The warmth of the drake's blood soaked my arm, thick and sticky, as I pushed deeper into the mess. My fingers brushed past fragments of shattered bone and chunks of brain matter, the texture sickeningly squishy, and as I reached further until I felt it—the core, smooth and hard among the chaos of gore.

[Magic Stone of the Floor Boss, Infant Dragon. Recharge value (60 Premium Currency). Do you wish to use this magic stone to recharge?]

"Yes," I thought, and immediately felt the stone disintegrate. The familiar sensation of energy flooded into me, and I accessed my recharge store—my PC now at 7770 after the 120 addition.

The dragon's body began to disintegrate, turning to black ash within moments, leaving behind only a few large scales, its horns, and some teeth. Not worth the space in my inventory. With my hand now free, I swung it to the side, blood and gore splattering onto the ground as I opened up my recharge shop.

I could buy Premium Summoning for 160 PC, Basic for 120, weapon upgrade materials, different gems, cosmetics—a few with stats equal to, or even better than, the Rhapso set. And by 'cosmetic,' I mean literal cosmetics.

I could buy different eye colors, height adjustments, even hair! Not only that, I could outright buy multiple uncommon weapons and armor, and one rare armor for a ridiculous amount of PC. I would have saved to buy the rare armor, but right now, there was only one thing I wanted: the Beginner Bundle. The bundle would be gone in four days after my seven-day mission expired.

The bundle cost exactly 7770 PC—the entire reason I'd come for this dragon. Even an idiot would know this bundle was a no-brainer, but damn, it was expensive. If I hadn't gotten lucky with those stones, how the fuck would I have recharged for this? Would I have been able to buy the magic stones for millions of Valis?

This game is definitely 'pay to win.'

With that purchase, my Valis officially crossed the billion mark. Not as exciting when you get them like they're common drops. 'I could probably damage the city's Economy if I go to the slums and spread all my money around.' But I was not going to do that yet.

Now, let's see what innate skill I have.

_____________________

Eternal Arms Mastery: The dexterity of combat arts performed to the extremes. You gain the capability to master any weapon almost instantaneously as long as you understand said weapon. Understanding and copying martial moves used by weapons will become second nature, with the capability to heighten the martial technique to its peak. Creating weapon techniques is possible as long as you understand what it should do, and it doesn't go against the weapon's usage. Prevents the degradation of fighting skills, no matter the kind of circumstances.

'Hmm...' Isn't this... Nice? I mean, I definitely expected something more, but I can work with this. Imagine someone using a cool sword technique like that Katana quick draw shit, and I just say,

"Yoink." Quick draw motherfucker, and it's even 10 times better because I made it better.

I really want to do this. A technique that would take someone their whole lifetime to master and I will just whip it out like It's nothing and say, "This is how you do it bro," Then just do it better.

A humiliating skill.

I like it.

The other important thing was the weapon selector and ticket. "Wait," Isn't this a lucky situation? I got a good innate skill instead of something like 'gain the ability to cum without limit.'

I should... I should use them.

Yahweh, Allah, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Ahura Mazda, Aten, Zeus, Odin, Amaterasu, Tengri, El.

Bless this young one.

"Use Random Rare Item Ticket and Random Rare+ Ignore Rank Item Ticket!" I roared towards the sky and then immediately went to my inventory, scrolling through 88 items—most of them being consumables that don't stack—and went to the two new items.

[Rivers of Blood (Rare): Rank 8]

[Rule Breaker (Mythical): Rank 10]

"Oh Fuck~" My back arched as I Ejaculated on the dragon drops on the floor. My body shivered and convulsed, pleasure that suppressed when I jerked off to that little girl that charmed me washing over my body as load and load of cum was pumped out.

"Mystical~" Oh, just saying the name made me climax again. "Fuck~"

I couldn't even edge to this, I exploded immediately!!!

And I couldn't stop.

My back arched as my raging dick pointed towards the sky and boom, cum was sent flying towards god knows where.

I was blessed.

I was fucking blessed.

~~~~~3rd person POV~~~~~
*Splat*
A white substance splashed on in the middle of an Orc group. It was white, sticky, and thick. And it smelt...
It was pure aphrodisiac!
*ROAR* All the orc got a raging boner and then they turned to one another.
~~~~~~~~~~~Author's Note~~~~~~~~~~~

While I was doing research on danmachi strength level, I found out that their attack potency might be height but their movement speed is fucking ass! There is no Mach 10 characters at all! And then with more research, I came up with this scaling.

High Agility Stat Level 1 = Superhuman (76.7269 mph)

High Agility Stat Level 2 = Subsonic (191.8175 mph)

High Agility Stat Level 3 = Subsonic+ (383.635 mph)

High Agility Stat Level 4 = Transonic (690.542 mph)

High Agility Stat Level 5 = Supersonic (Mach 2.5)

High Agility Stat Level 6 = Supersonic+ (Mach 5)

High Agility Stat Level 7 = Hypersonic (Mach 7.5)

High Agility Stat Level 8 = Hypersonic (Mach 10)

Not an exact since you get a boost in stats after leveling up, but that is the speed scaling I will be using. No need to remember it, just showing it.

Also, my midterm will be coming up so might have to stop posting to get on that grind. It just depends on how far behind I am when I decide to look though the class materials again.
