Danmachi: Goliath

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Days? Yes.

After calming down, I quickly equipped my Rhapso set. I know, without cleaning up? How disgusting. No, I did clean up with a cloth from my inventory and the rest might not have been cleaned… Well, Rhapso cleaned it for me a few minutes after putting it on. I timed this shit, and this is also how I timed how long I have been in this world.

This is the 23rd time Rhapso set has been activated, so 69 Hours have passed since I came to this world. Or, about 2 Days 21 hours. A new day will soon begin, but I don't have to worry about that as I have already completed my third daily mission.

Now, plus my recharge reward, I now have;

[90 Premium Summoning Tickets]

[10 Premium Armor Summoning Tickets]

[100 Basic Summoning Tickets]

Yeah, I haven't used that premium armor summoning I got from the '28-Day Check-In Rewards' on my second day. I was waiting for a 'lucky' time to use it, and now seems to be the time.

"Let's go gambling." I pulled ten times from the premium armor. "Oh, dang it." Only got one uncommon. I mean, it's good but expected more. Ok, no more gambling, it's time to see what I got.

The first thing I did though was run. Four adventurers were coming my way, and I rather them not see me and the cum stained drop on the ground. After walking away, I found a spot under a hill where I sat and then immediately called out Rule Breaker and then caught it.

It was a dagger with a blade that's curved in an aggressive, zig-zagging shape, and while it may seem menacing at first glance, its edges were blunt, and it lacks the sharpness or sturdiness typically associated with deadly weapons, making it ineffective for cutting or stabbing in combat.

The most captivating aspect of the blade is its iridescent surface, which shimmers with a swirling blend of colors, transitioning through a spectrum of purples, greens, blues, and hints of pink. The hilt of the dagger is just as ornate as the blade, with a black grip, a gold and red guard, and a pommel decorated with small, dangling tassels or ornaments.

In terms of size, the blade is shorter than most traditional swords but long for a dagger, perhaps around 30 centimeters in length. The entire weapon, from the tip of the blade to the base of the hilt, would be around 45 centimeters, larger than the 20 cm Cracked Nagjolinganda Crystal Dagger, so it wouldn't be able to fit in my pocket.

Rule Breaker

Rank 10* (can be ignored)

Mythical Dagger

Requirements: *Bond*

Description: It was once a regular common dagger until the Divinity of the Witch of Betrayal was placed into it. It's effectively nonexistent in its capacity as a weapon, comparable to that of a regular Rank 0 dagger at most, and for that reason, despite being a Mythical grade, it grants no additional stats, it can't be enchanted, nor can gems be embedded into it.

[Need to be bonded to see. Bond Now?]

_____________________

Need to be bonded to see? And it's asking me if I want to bond with it? A mythical dagger? Even if it is basically a normal dagger in terms of physical stats, its ability should be something broken. I mean, it did become mythical just because of its ability.

"Bond!"

[Note: You can bond with a limited number of Mythical items. Bond?]

'Limited?' There was never a bond system in my game, so this is new to me. 'And I can't see its ability without bonding with it?' So I am basically gambling. What if this is trash...

There is no trash Mythical, the fuck am I saying?

"Yes."

[Mythical Item 'Rule Breaker' bonded with character 'Noah Ark Adam.']

The moment I was bonded with it, I felt a sharp throb on my head as all the information about the dagger flowed into my head. It was as if all the questions I had and would have had about how the dagger's ability was answered. And I mean, all of them.

What does it do? It is an anti-magic weapon. No, this dagger doesn't cancel out all kinds of magic. Like it won't slash a fireball out of the air or something.

Its unique ability is to dispel and destroy any kind of magic it touches. Enchantments and magical effects are undone. Bonds, contracts, or connections formed through magic are erased. Magical creatures or beings sustained by magic will cease to exist as if they never were.

In essence, anything created or maintained by magic is returned to its original, non-magical state. However, there are limits. The dagger cannot undo powerful magical items or magic, an magic ranked Demi-God or higher.

This means, if I so much as touch a blessed human with this weapon, I can erase their level AND Falna, returning them to when they were just human. Yes, it says I can erase Falna. I guess Falna is only a mythical grade magic. Make sense seeing as the gods sealed their divinity so I doubt they can even use any mythical grade magic or something in this world.

And though this weapon can't cancel out the magic keeping gods on the mortal plane, that is much higher than Mythical, if I touch a god with this and activate its ability; All their Familia members lose their level and Falna, and I wouldn't even need to kill said gods like Evilus does.

Freya, Loki, one touch and their Familia is gone with a snap.

Reduced to ashes.

It's good, yeah, but it's not what I wanted. It's kinda... underwhelming? At least it should have been able to cut a fireball out of the air. 'But,' I can't deny its second ability's utility.

This one is called 'Pain Breaker,' and using it will allow me to return any and all 'curses' and 'injuries' to zero. It performs automatic repairs not by means of time manipulation, but by calculating the proper figure one originally had, and can abolish any and all unreasonableness other than 'death.'

Even if my head is severed off, as long as I am alive, and I activate it on myself, I will be back to my peak condition with my whole body back together. It can't reverse the effect of Rule Breaker, and unlike the former, this one has a cooldown of eleven seconds. Not long, but it's still there.

"Meaning," As long as I have this dagger somewhere on my body, every eleven seconds, all injuries performed on me are reverted to 0. "Heh."

I have become a world boss. For this boss, you have to remove its health of one billion in eleven seconds, or else it will heal its full health. Ok, now that I think of it, I like this. Only if the ability was revered and pain breaker had no cooldown while rule breaker had cooldown.

Well, whatever, I guess.

'Wait,' Since it's bonded to me, can it activate while being inside my inventory? I threw it into my inventory and then punched the ground as hard as I could with a resounding boom, the earth trembling. My skin got a bit of a bruise, but nothing else.

Pain breaker—

"Ah," My Supreme Elixir is still active, but if it do work while being inside my inventory, then "Bye Elixir and Supreme Elixir~" I wouldn't need them anymore~

But Noah, you still need them to restore stamina and fatigue.

NOPE!

It also reset fatigue, hunger, or other similar conditions because those are also 'states' of the body that can be seen as temporary conditions or 'curses'. Since the weapon calculates the proper, ideal state of the body, it reset the body to a condition where it's fully rested, nourished, and free from any form of exhaustion or depletion, much like resetting injuries and curses.

Lol, this shit is overpowered. I can outlast anyone in a battle now. As long as I don't get one hit KO'd, I can stand even after an arm has been severed off. If only it has an 'auto' activation function, like it will activate every eleven seconds like Rhapso.

If it did, only would I not need sleep anymore and will heal from injuries, I wouldn't be affected by any kind of magic cast from me. Like the charm of that little girl. Yeah, I still remember her. You wouldn't forget the first time you were forced to jerk off in the street.

Disgusting.

Couldn't be me.

I won't let that slide. I am going to her and stabbing her with this and erase all her Falna. She is returning to ZERO once I leave this place. Ain't no way I am letting that humiliation pass. Making a grown man turn pedo? I know I am crazy, but not THAT crazy. Yes, its legal, technically, but forced love? Nope.

Nu-uh.

Now, for the rare item.

"Come forth." I held my hand out my hand, and the moment I touched the sword's hilt, a screen appeared,

[The Great Katana 'Rivers of Blood' sees you as a suitable holder.]

[It has accepted you]

[You have been forcefully bonded with 'Rivers of Blood.']

'Eh?' The fuck? 'Bond?' Forceful bond?

I had to learn a bit about Japanese weapons to put them in my game, and I could tell almost immediately that this thing I was holding was a Wakizashi. Well, similar. The blade itself is jagged and rugged, coated in a deep, blood-red hue like it was permanently stained in blood. No, the blade is solidified blood—I could smell the iron and decay clinging to it. Its texture looks rough, as though crafted from something organic and unrefined, yet its edge glints sharply. I guess it wouldn't be a sword if it can't cut.

It had a total length of 60 cm, with a hilt tightly wrapped in a dark, black fabric interwoven with red diamond patterns down the middle. Its tsuba is black and oval, ornately decorated with symbols that seem weathered, almost burned or corroded, with a rusted gold engraving on the blade close to the hilt.

Due to my all read ability, I can read it, but I am not sure if it's the right thing due to how rusted it is. 'But,' I was expecting something much cooler, but my daddy taught me not to judge books by their cover, so let's see this rare weapon ability.

Rivers of Blood

Rank 12 ↴ 8*Sealed (can be ignored)

Legendary ↴ Rare*Sword (*Sealed)

Requirements: Noah Ark Adam, Permission from Noah Ark Adam, Permission from Rivers of Blood (Limited).

Description: A cursed weapon that drives its wielder to crave blood. It's not for the weak-minded; prolonged use corrodes the wielder's mind. While mostly sealed, the seal temporarily weakens when enough blood is absorbed, unlocking some abilities. However, certain abilities remain fully sealed regardless of blood intake, which lowers the weapon's current rank and grade.

Hemorrhage: Any damage caused by Rivers of Blood that draws blood will continue to bleed, no matter how minor the wound is or how much pressure is applied to stop it.

Corpse Piler: Bleeding wounds inflicted by [Hemorrhage] can't be healed by low-grade healing. Attempting to heal them makes the wound worse, and if left untreated, the wound will also worsen, widening and causing more bleed until the target dies from Hemorrhage.

Blood Hunger: Rivers of Blood absorbs all blood it comes into contact with, storing it to strengthen itself and its wielder. With enough stored blood, the sword can temporarily unseal some of its abilities.

Shape Change [Sealed]: Unseals when enough blood is stored through Blood Hunger, allowing the user to manipulate the blade's shape using stored blood without limit. The hilt can be altered to a limited extent.

First Form—Bloody Rakshasa [Sealed]: Unseals with sufficient blood stored through Blood Hunger, granting the Bloody Rakshasa armor, which adapts to fit the wielder's shape. It boosts all stats but endurance by 30%, increase damage received by 60%, reduces blood cost for Shape Change by 15%, Reduce Pain by 70%, Reduces Stamina usage by 20%, and grants the ability [Shape Change: Armor] which allows the user to change the shape of their armor similar to the sword, though it requires more blood.

Bloody Healing [Sealed]: Unseals with sufficient blood, allowing the wielder to regenerate from physical and mental damage using stored blood. Due to the heal nature of bloody healing, they can even limitedly modify their appearance permanently or temporarily.

'...'

Isn't this...

Isn't this better than Rule Breaker?

What the fuck? It's sealed, so only six of its nine skills are available, but even these available skills puts it above Rule breaker. The 30 additional stats level alone...

No, actually. No, it's not better. I mean, I am effectively immortal if I don't die within ten seconds, and I can basically break any sealing with Rule Breaker. 'Any seal...'

Rule breaker appeared in my other hand and I stabbed it down on the Wakizashi, which caused a black chain to suddenly appear, wrapping tightly around the sword's blade. Then it cracked at the point where Rule's Breaker touched it, and then I pulled Rule breaker back, causing the chain to regenerate and disappear.

I got scared.

Why? Simple.

I didn't get the information of its ability because this bond I have with the sword is through the sword's will and not the 'game.' I couldn't summon it to me wherever I wanted, but I could see it on the map and stop others from using it. However, it seems like the sword can allow others to wield it.

'But it's limited.' You might say, and I say no. My smart brain told me that it is only limited because the sword is bonded with me. When it removes its bond with me, it can choose a new master.

And if I unseal it, what stops it from leaving me and choosing someone else. "Was that why you chose to bond with me, intelligent sword?" It didn't react, but I felt something. I don't know.

Anger?

"Wait till I get something better, bro." Not interested in a sword that can betray its master at a moment's notice. Since it can effectively read my mind, it should know that. "And I guess I can't return it to my inventory."

I tried. And I failed. "Living, indeed."

Not lucky, I guess. A good sword, truly. But a living weapon? I don't know. Seems kinda off. Don't like it.

Placing it on the ground beside me, I called up my status.

Damn, you must really like dexterity? Well, YES! I wouldn't have been able to wombo combo that female orc or run as a wolf if my dexterity was lower or the same as my other stats.

It's important.

But I guess barely adding 15 levels to my other three stats combined while adding 200 to dexterity is a stretch, but look! I have six million exp. I can max everything out.

Welp, let's first max out magic

Due to stored blood, and if too much is drawn, the ability will re-seal.

+2872805 exp.

"AD—" I stopped my foolish self.

When I barely added two-hundred thousand exp to dexterity before, I felt an agonizing pain through my body. Yes, it lasted for a few seconds, but this is thirteen times more EXP towards your brain(?).

I might as well be committing suicide.

Let's be safe and add only one-hundred levels first. 'Add 19801 exp.'

"Fuck." I felt as if lightning struck my brain, forcing me to grab my head. This energy quickly rushed through my body, going through my veins, from my head to the tip of my fingers and toes, before settling.

[You have unlocked mind and your Racial Magic (Gin) and (Ample) can be unlocked. Unlock now? *Note that unlocking will immediately rank you up to rank one as a (Hero), forever sealing the (Familia) path.]

'No, not yet.' I waved the screen away, massaging my temple. I guess that pain was from unlocking magic, but let's wait before I do that again. "And while we wait," I turned to Rob. I should test this thing's ability.

Due to having to increase my mind and other stats in intervals instead of just dumping a massive amount of EXP in them, days passed before I completely maxed out all my stats.

More specifically, 62 hours have passed since I got Rob, so 131 hours have passed since I came to this world. 5 Days, 11 Hours.

I have completed my daily missions for day 4, 5, AND 6, and one day five, I ran into a problem. My Inventory filled up with consumables because I was a dumbass and kept doing 50 basic summoning instead of the 30 requirement. For that reason, I had discarded all my food and most drinks, the most common things to drop and one that didn't stack.

It's not like they give any special effect besides tasting like they were made by the god of cooking, but I can get more whenever I need. Yes, it would have been better if I stored them. But where? Not in this dungeon, as it would get absorbed by the dungeon.

Much like it did to my shit after a few hours. I guess it is self-cleaning, that's why the entire ground isn't covered in feces from over thousands of years of monsters and adventures shitting. As for how I wiped.

No, I am not disgusting enough to just put on my pants and let Rhapso clean me. I tore a piece from one of the clothes in my inventory to clean my ass. Yes, yes. I know they are all high-quality and can be sold for millions of Valis, but eh.

I have no other use for them right now, so toilet paper they became.

Yep, max level, and its like the game don't want me to stay max level and not rank up so it sealed my shit. Now, I can go to 1200, but that's currently impossible. There are two reasons. I don't have the skill that will allow me to surpass level 1199 in my stats, and the 'Forced Level Up Stone' can only be bought in the premium store for 990 PC.

Or three Goliath magic stone.

Goliath spawns every 2 weeks, and from what I have heard, a werewolf named Bete, or was it Beta? As in Beta male? I don't know, but I like Beta better, so that's his name now.

As I was saying, the level 4 Beta Werewolf killed Goliath solo and 'quite easily,' I heard. So I will need to stall my rank up for 2 weeks before I can fight and get its stone. No, I doubt I would even be able to kill it with my current strength. My stats barely reach level 3, and my Rivers of Blood plus Pain Breaker would help me fight at rank three, but only after I 'charged' Rivers of Blood.

Ok, let's speak about River of Blood. For three days I have tested its ability and I will say. It is good. Overpowered, even. However, the amount of blood it requires to even unseal Shape Change is immense. Yes, I can store gallons of blood in my inventory from monsters which will remain fresh as time doesn't pass in there, but I need one-hundred and twenty gallons of blood to reach Shape Change.

One-hundred and twenty gallons of blood!

That's 80 times the amount of blood stored in the fucking human body!

Yes, hanging up one Minotaur and draining it grants around 8 gallons of blood, but hunting Minotaur, hanging them up to drain, and having to fight the monsters drawn by the smell blood is really fucking tedious.

I mean, I almost died.

No really.

A normal Minotaur is level 2. Having to fight a swarm of level 2, even with Rob, I had to run. Tactically retreat, I mean. All the Supreme Elixir stored within me ran out in that fight and if not because of 'Pain Breaker' ability to work from within my inventory, I would have had to summon my friend.

Just to make use of this weapon, you have to fucking suffer and drain blood like a slave. If it had the ability to draw blood from afar, I would have had this problem, but the range of its absorption is only 'touch.'

Fucking trash sword.

I think it's trying to tell me that it is sealed and if I unseal it, it will grant me more power but suck my dick. No, not happening any time soon. You're staying sealed, my friend.

[Fuck Nig—]

"Finish that sentence and I will bury you six feet under." The sword went silent. "That's what I thought." That was the clearest thing I have heard, and it wanted to call me a racial slur.

I am working here like a slave, and it thinks it can call me a slave? "Brave, you are not. Stupid you are."

The sword didn't react.

"Well," I have gathered the 480 gallons that it said was required to unlock Bloody Rakshasa, so let's see what it does. "Those days of work better be worth it."

Now, one-thousand-eight hundred and seventy-three kg of blood, drop!

Nope, I will crush myself. And yes, you heard that right. 1873 kilograms. 4130 pounds. 2 US Ton. 1.87 metric tons.

That's how much blood I have stored in my inventory.

And before any of you scream 'bloody murder,' I have them stored in 18 different inventory slots. Yes, I can buy more slots or even increase the weight of each slot, but it costs 100 Premium Currency to even get 10 new KG/Slot. They couldn't even give me 1 new slot or KG for 10 PCs, but jump straight to ten.

Evil game.

I know I made it like that, but the cost was in 'free diamond' not 'paid diamond.'

Whatever. I opened one inventory and let blood drip down from a ripple in the air and held Rob, the blood falling on it. 'This will take a while.'

Indeed, I did just 'put' blood into the inventory slot without putting it in a container. Once each blood-cell died, and before it could dry, I would touch the drained blood in my bucket and just say, put in inventory, and there it goes. It's liquid, so it won't 'stack' and will fill up said inventory slot until 100 kg (around 25 gallons) is inside, then I will start filling another slot.

Time passed as I sat and let the blood drain onto Rob, after absorbing 60 gallons, the sword changed, growing slightly longer and looking at my status screen, I saw +30 has been added to all my stats.

Ok, let's back up a bit.

The (+328) I got before were from a few items.

Maxed out Rhapso Beginner Set for +16 Endurance, +16 Strength, +16 Agility, +10 in all stats. Maxed out Cracked Nagjolinganda Crystal Dagger for +16 in all stats. And Rob for +30 in all stats. I left it at base because I needed a higher quality enhancement castle to get it up, and I haven't even managed to summon even 1 of them, because you can't.

You have to dismantle an uncommon to get them, and I basically use all of them. Evan stone breaker is useful for large mobs of Minotaur because I can just spin around and become a master of spinjitzu, with the hammer crushing any that get within range. It uses a fuck ton of stamina, but I ain't getting rid of it yet.

No matter how much I feel like the sword is begging me.

Now, every 60 gallon it gets, it grants the user its current Enhancement stats again. Right now, it's 3 ten so every 60 gallons of blood, I get 30 to all my stats, or 150 levels total. When it reaches Rakshasa, it should give me 240 in all stats, or 1200 levels. And then when I put on the armor, those boosted stats will get a 30% boost in all those already buffed stats. Just my stats alone as Rakshasa would put me amongst low level 3s while being a level 0.

Me like.

Almost an hour later, Rob was at Rakshasa charge level and I stood up. Its 'base' form now resembles a nodachi with a length of 255 cm in and its grip became longer, allowing for two hands to wield. Its hilt also switched color, the diamonds now black while the wrapped leather turned red.

"Ok, let's test this out." And no, it doesn't actually require 480 gallons but 275 gallons of blood. The 480 is just so I will have enough to activate Bloody Rakshasa without immediately going below the 275 gallons threshold and deactivating the skill, since it uses stored blood for activation.

I feel a bit giddy. I'm about to test this thing out. Better be cool~

"Bankai!" I roared, slashing the sword to the side. "Ketsu-Rasetsu!"

Nothing happened. 'You know what I mean, sword.' Bankai—something I have heard a lot in social media from a sword wilding maniac that like screaming—just sounds cool, that's why I called it out, and Ketsu-Rasetsu is just Japanese for Bloody Rakshasa. Ketsu means 'blood' and Rasetsu means 'Rakshasa.'

No, I can't speak Japanese. You will only hear me in Japanese if I speak to a Japanese person, but I can write Japanese. So, I wrote it in Rōmaji or whatever it's called and just read it out. So many steps for it, but it sounds nice.

"No, let's try this again." I returned to holding the sword with my right arm in front of me, the tip of the 2.55 meters long blade facing an imaginary opponent in front of me.

"Bankai!" I slashed the sword to my right, the long blade now extended like one bloody wing. "Ketsu-Rasetsu!"

~~~~~~~Author's Note~~~~~
If he actually stabs Syr with Rule Breaker...
Also, was the time skip good? I felt like things was going too slow and describing his days of testing the weapon will drag it on so I just skipped a few days. He is day 6(5) now, around 2 AM. And yes, only 5 days have passed since he got his first daily reward once he was dropped in the world. At the end of next chapter, he will leave the dungeon. Getting bored keeping him inside and want him to actually interact with others characters. Right?
Bankai: 血羅刹 (Ketsu-Rasetsu) can also be Bankai: 血羅刹の初形 (Ketsu-Rasetsu no Shokei) for Bankai: First Form—Bloody Rakshasa. Just thought the first one was cooler and more straight to the point. Next chapter will also be when he will decide what path to chose and it has came down to two path:
Ishtar or Hero. Team or Solo. Group of girls or Me Myself and I.
Tip: You can use left, right, A and D keyboard keys to browse between chapters.
