Danmachi- New game in the dungeon

After buying some food, new kitchen and bathroom daily use stuff as well as ordering a good amount of Iron, concrete, wood etc. (system store don't sell them) I decided its grinding time again.

Grinding again, its getting boring.

'Hmmm I think its time to explore the deep floors now.' I thought, with Crystal as a level 8 mage and my level 8 warrior and tank type mech we can easily pass through lower floors.

But first need to go to the guild and get some info out Eina on lower floors as well as update my address.

After few minutes of walk we reach the guild and just like market most of eyes were on her specially on her gem like hairs. Soon I find Eina who was busy with adventurers and told Crystal to wait here while I dig some info out of her.

Crystal just nodded and find the sitting area to wait for me. While I made my way to the counter.

"Hey Eina I came backkk." I greeted her in a bright tone after I reach her counter.

"OHH hello Mr. Rain. How may I help you today?" to which she replied in a professional but friendly way.

"Can you give me information on lower floors. Till water city will be nice." I said going directly to point.

"Sorry, But I can't give you information regarding lower floors. You don't even have falna, going there will only be suicide and I don't want to risk it." She said denying to give me any info saying I am weak now.

"Eina, it don't matter if you give me info or not I will still be going down there, it's just to make things easier and your are forgetting why I get my nick name, stealth is my specialty as for strength I have already shown it yesterday." I said in a neutral tone clarifying the misunderstanding about my intent and strength.

She look a bit hesitant than she sigh and accepted her defeat saying "Fine, I am believing you. Come with me." while asking someone else to take her place.

After 15 minutes of lecture I was finally released thankfully my system can also record essential information in it's database so I don't need to listen all that carefully. Ahh my map is also partially filled from the map guild has in display. During the end I also updated my address.

So with that finish I left the room and reach the waiting area where Crystal was waiting for me. But I noticed some thing odd, many were like afraid of her and there were few adventurers, now ice statue with head exposed and pale blue embers sparkling around them.

Soon I took her and left the guild building while leaving she unfreeze them but I didn't ask any question, already knowing what could have happened there.

"Hey Crystal, when we reach the Babel, I will alone go in the dungeon and summon you when find a suitable place." I said on the way, not wanting to complicate things like how a level 8 appear here or which familia she belong to.

It was already evening now. I guess night grinding it is.

(A/N- For context of timeline.... Yesterday was the monster festival, Today Bell came to Eina to get permission for going down to floor 7 showing his statis and Eina will go to date with Bell tomorrow.)

Soon we reach the Babel and I walk straight to the dungeon. After reaching a secluded space I summon Crystal and made our way to the lower floors. I also have those map tasks from 19th floor onward. Haaaa what a drag..

On our way to lower floors something different happened today. On nineth floor, a war shadow spawn in our path but it don't have the same red dot like the usual monsters but yellow dot like people. when it look at us it tried to run instead of attacking us. So I used my shadow control to bind it and took a closer look at it with my appraisal.....

[War Shadow (xenos)/ Nameless/ Level 2]

[Xenos: A monster which has develop a self-consciousness and intelligence. It can behave, think and feel things and emotions similar to any other intelligent being do. Not much data available further study and analyses required.]

"Soo..... What should I do with you?" I said tilting my head, asking literally nobody but to my surprise it spoke.

"Please leave me I hadn't done any harm to you." It said deep hoarse voice. Fuck it can speak I have never heard about them any where neither from adventurers nor at guild so they must be very rare and good at hiding. Main question still remains what should I do?

"why don't you keep it with us. It share similar attribute of shadow to you and can help you further in the dungeon." suggested Crystal with a thoughtful expression like in a deep thought. Now that I think about what she said make sense he can be my assassin partner in crime.

"Nice thinking Crystal." I praised her for such a nice idea to which she look very happy and smug. Seriously women can be really simple sometime and too complicated other times. Anyway back to the monster.

"So here are your options bud, either get a swift and painless death or be my monster companion. If you chose death it is what it is or if second option you will be my partner in crime you will get resources to grow stronger, equipments and freedom to walk on surface with me covering for you, now chose." I really feel like a shady merchant giving someone a scam of a deal while saying all this.

"I accept your second deal." It said in same deep voice. Man this is the time when I need the points the most but I don't have them.

"So its decided we will first grind 300 points than form a soul contract between us. After that register you as a tamed monster and myself as the tamer so no one will border us." I said a loud, telling my grand plan to both while freeing the war shadow of my shadow binding.

Soon we reach 14th floor and start grinding. Man it's very efficient grinding with the three of of us.

Crystal can burn the monsters to ashes or froze and make them crumble leaving only their stone behind with her super precise control over her magic which I pick using my shadows. As for me I give them a clean cut, killing them with their exposing stones which Shades dig out of them as he is not strong enough to fight them so he is doing the supporter's work.

By the way, I gave him this name 'Shades' on our way down because.... he is a war shadow simple and it's not like he has a name to begin with either.

Nowww... lets start the main course of today, SOUL CONTRACT....

A magic circle appeared under our feet's and the system sound ring in our ears. (in both mine and Shades)

"I will give not make you do anything that you are totally against nor harm you, give you resources to grow and back you up in trouble as long as you serve me as a companion." I said my terms.

"I will serve you as my master as long as you keep your side of deal and will never betray you or do any intentional harm." he said his own terms in his deep voice.

As the contract terms are spoken the circle glow and morph into the shape of chains made up of ruins and bind us together with the contract then disappear. (simple nothing too flashy)

With all done, we postpone the grinding for later date and turn to main object for now, register Shades as a tamed monster so no one can object his existence on surface.
