DC HERO AT MARVEL

Chapter 264: Chapter 264 The Mind Scepter is Secured!

Indeed.

Harry opponent is none other than the Green Goblin, Norman Osborn, who seemingly emerged from nowhere.

Ever since the Fantastic Four joined the research team with Connors and Banner, with the participation of Reed Richards among others, and building upon the prior work of Connors and Banner, they finally developed the ultimate antidote that overcame the side effects of the human enhancement drug.

Of course, this does not mean that the human enhancement drug is now safe for mass production.

At least, the possibility of turning someone into a super-soldier like the Green Goblin remains exceedingly slim and largely dependent on the right combination of circumstances, or in other words, luck.

The human enhancement drug is still very dangerous.

If one were to risk an injection, the likelihood of genetic collapse is very high, with a terrifyingly high mortality rate.

Even if one survives the most dangerous step, side effects are certain to remain.

And these side effects are as yet unclear.

More likely, even if some do survive, they could experience genetic mutations and not live long.

From the only successful case, the Green Goblin, whose transformation into a psychopath with a violent second personality is considered extremely lucky, it is speculated that perhaps a hereditary genetic disorder in the Osborn family, an approach of fighting poison with poison, allowed him to miraculously survive.

However, the sewer lab team is not focused on the human enhancement drug.

They have developed a new drug, based on the human enhancement drug, that could unlock human potential, named the Life Elixir.

The Life Elixir can stimulate human potential, allowing one to rapidly develop their innate capabilities to reach human limits and extend lifespan.

For the Osborn family, the Life Elixir has therapeutic effects on their genetic disorders.

If taken over a long period, the Osborn family, starting with Harry generation, could end the genetic disease that has plagued their family for many years, not only making them normal but also enhancing their physical condition to easily reach human limits with proper training.

After Norman returned to normal, he learned this news from Dr. Connors, a former employee, and was moved to tears.

Just as he planned to return to Osborn Industries to share this great news with Harry, the Battle of New York was on the horizon.

Anton specifically found Norman, asking him to hide for now and keeping the news under wraps, not even telling Harry.

Because at the critical moment, they might need Norman to transform back into the Green Goblin, joining others to descend upon New York and potentially turn the tide.

In doing so, Norman could also take this opportunity to clear his past misdeeds as the Green Goblin and appear publicly without any stigma.

Once Wayne Enterprises launches the Life Elixir, Norman Osborn would become the most suitable spokesperson.

The Life Elixir would quickly sweep across the globe, becoming the most influential invention of the 21st century.

Anton plan was sound.

However, Anton did not anticipate that the plot would evolve far more dramatically than he imagined.

Loki almost took control of the entire Avengers team, including Harry.

At this moment, the darkened Harry, under his mask, showed no excitement or thrill at the appearance of the Green Goblin, his face calm as if he were seeing a stranger.

And Harry actions were more intense than ever before.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

From his feet, missiles launched from a flying board very similar to his opponent, trailing long plumes of fire, heading straight for the Green Goblin.

"Harry..."

Norman face beneath the mask was somber.

Seeing Harry expressionless, out-of-control demeanor, he clenched his fists tightly, displaying his deep hatred for the puppet master behind the scenes.

He had hoped to witness a tender father-son moment, but instead, it turned into a grim mockery of that ideal.

Norman, left with no choice, also activated the missiles on his flying board.

Boom!

A huge burst of fire exploded in the sky, and the powerful shockwave spread in all directions, with violent winds sweeping through.

The walls of tall buildings vibrated slightly, and glass shattered instantly, raining down sparkling fragments.

Fortunately, the residents of the entire Manhattan area had been evacuated in a short time, either hiding in safety bunkers underground otherwise, the consequences would have been unpredictable.

The surrounding Chitauri soldiers, seeing this, dared not approach and took detours around the area, fearful of being caught in the aftermath.

Their hearts were filled with despair.

On this remote planet, why were there so many "messy" individuals everywhere?

Even by universal standards, these beings level of combat power was not weak. Why then, were they all gathered on Earth?

Click, click!

Loki clenched his fists, his knuckles visibly white.

Seeing Batman summon so many allies so suddenly, he was momentarily at a loss for words, unsure of what to say.

With these super-powered beings present, the situation in the battle had once again reached a strange equilibrium.

As time passed, the Chitauri soldiers, continuously streaming into Earth, along with those flying creatures resembling sea turtles used as warships, were enough to potentially overwhelm the strained efforts of the Avengers to keep the battlefield contained within the Manhattan area.

But Loki never expected that Batman would have so many allies besides the members of the Justice League.

Where on Earth did these people come from?

Despite some understanding of the situation on Earth, he couldn't comprehend how Batman managed to gather such a vast and terrifying force in just over a year.

"Do you see now?"

Anton, noticing Loki change in expression and realizing that the latter had grasped the current situation, said coldly, "The Chitauri will not be able to breach Earth."

"No, you don't understand. The Chitauri are not the key."

Loki quickly calmed his inner shock, a smile reappearing on his face as he replied, "Earth cannot escape."

"Moreover, the Chitauri army has mobilized en masse. What you see now is just a fraction. Even if you currently have the upper hand, how long can you maintain it?"

Loki sneered, "You can't shut down the space portal, and you can't stop the Chitauri invasion."

"Indeed, there nothing more to be said between us."

Anton sighed.

He pulled out a grappling hook gun from his waist and shot it towards Loki.

Loki hurriedly dodged, but to his surprise, he found that the grappling hook gun wasn't aimed at catching him, but rather at seizing the Mind Stone scepter in his hand.

"What?!"

Loki was startled.

The power of the scepter was highly compatible with him he could not possibly give up the Mind Stone scepter, especially since it was something that needed to be returned.

Of course, whether it was returned was one matter, whether it could be lost was another.

Loki struggled to hold onto the scepter, trying to prevent Batman from taking it.

At that moment, Batman fired a terrifying laser beam.

Boom!!

Loki was forced to let go of the scepter he was gripping tightly.

The floor where he stood was instantly pierced by the laser, revealing a huge hole, and a cloud of wall dust flew in front of Loki eyes.

On the other side, Anton got hold of the Mind Stone scepter, the process much easier than he had anticipated.

The purpose of his previous conversation with Loki was to paralyze Loki nerves.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have bothered talking to Loki just for the sake of it.

A being who only plays with conspiracies and deceit, never caring for the lives of mortals, and who prides himself as a so-called god above others, Anton had no respect for him.

Even before his travels through time, the character he despised the most was Loki.

"You fiend!"

Seeing the Mind Stone scepter taken, Loki furiously attacked, but behind him appeared a tall, slender figure.

Wonder Woman, holding nothing back, kicked Loki fiercely.

Loki felt a severe pain at his waist, a terrifying force surged through his body, and he was sent flying like a rag doll, plummeting from the heights of Stark Tower.
