Chapter 5: Journey to Village.
"Dude, can you speak english?" Beast boy asked confused by the words spoken by Feng.
"Sure, Anyways what I meant is the idea that everything is a dream made by another person, a dream that can lead to the creation of worlds or the destruction of dimensions, what I am saying is in other universes you are sort of fictional but in this one you aren't, no single world is the same" Feng completed his words nonchalantly.
Cyborg glared at him furiously. " So the multiverse theory is real"
"Yes it is, in some universes the teen titans are villain a in some they are normal beings with no powers in their entire universe, if you guys think your fictional just so you know there are things that even fiction cannot stop" Feng explained with a hint of forbidden knowledge and wisdom.
Raven asked a question. "So is my father still causing trouble for me in other universes"
Feng paused, swirling the remnants of his wine in his glass as he considered Raven's question. His gaze shifted to her, his normally sharp eyes softening slightly as he noticed the faint unease in her expression.
"Trigon, huh?" he said slowly. "The guy's like a cosmic cockroach—exists in way too many universes, always causing some kind of mess. In some worlds, he's sealed away forever, in others… well, let's just say things don't end well for anyone involved."
Raven's eyes narrowed slightly, her fingers twitching subtly as dark energy briefly flickered around them. "So… it's inevitable, then?"
Feng leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table and locking eyes with her. "No. That's the thing about the multiverse—it's infinite, yeah, but choices still matter. There's no script you have to follow. Your fate isn't written in bedrock. You've got free will, Raven. You can win… if you fight hard enough."
The shadows around her hands faded, and for a brief moment, Raven's lips twitched into a faint smile. "Thank you."
Victor exhaled, rubbing his forehead. "Man, this is getting heavy. So let me get this straight—there are infinite universes, and in some we're heroes, in others we're villains, and in others, we're… what? Like regular people working office jobs or something?"
Feng smirked. "Yeah, pretty much. I've seen a universe where you run a tech repair shop, Vic. You fixed someone's toaster and charged them extra for 'premium service.'"
Garfield burst into laughter. "HA! Oh man, Toaster Tech by Cyborg! That's golden!"
Victor shot Garfield a deadpan look. "Laugh it up, green bean. I bet in some universes, you're stuck as a literal hamster in a cage."
Feng coughed, trying to hide a laugh. "Actually… that's not far off."
Garfield froze mid-laugh, his eyes wide. "Wait… seriously?!"
Kori clapped her hands together softly, her voice breaking through the banter. "Friends, while this multiverse talk is fascinating, it also sounds… frightening. If every choice creates a new universe, how does one not become overwhelmed by the possibilities?"
Feng leaned back, crossing his arms. "You don't. That's the point. You focus on your universe, your choices, and your people. No one can handle the weight of infinite possibilities. Now if you excuse me, it's time for my daily session of going into my survival world and looking for diamonds".
Garfield blinked. "Wait, wait, hold up. Survival world? Diamonds? Are we back to Minecraft again?"
Feng smirked as he pushed his empty glass forward. "Yep. Survival world—grit, grind, and the occasional creeper ambush. You think dealing with interdimensional threats is stressful? Try losing all your diamond gear in lava because you panicked while fighting skeletons on a ledge."
Victor chuckled. "Man, you need a hobby outside of digital mining."
Kori tilted her head curiously. "This world of 'Minecraft' you speak of seems… therapeutic in its own chaotic way."
Feng shrugged. "It's a good escape. Infinite worlds, endless resources, and nothing but me, my tools, and the occasional existential dread while deep underground."
Raven, still composed but now with a hint of intrigue in her voice, spoke. "You make it sound like a reflection of the multiverse itself—worlds layered upon worlds, all dependent on the actions of a single creator."
Feng paused for a moment, staring at Raven. "That… that's actually pretty accurate. Never thought of it that way."
Garfield raised a finger dramatically. "Okay, new rule. If Feng's gonna drop mind-blowing philosophical bombs every five minutes, someone needs to hand me a notebook so I can start keeping track."
The group shared a brief laugh, the weight of the earlier conversation lifted slightly.
The group watched as Feng adjusted his coat and gave them a casual wave before turning toward the exit. The air felt lighter, yet an undercurrent of unease remained—like a storm brewing on the horizon.
"Wait, you're just gonna leave?" Garfield called after him. "You drop all this multiverse bombshell stuff and then dip like some anime protagonist after delivering a monologue?"
Feng smirked over his shoulder. "That's kind of my style, Beast Boy. Besides, you guys have your own world to protect, and I've got… other things to deal with. But don't worry, if I'm ever in Jump City, I'll drop by. Maybe we'll even run a Minecraft LAN party."
Kori floated slightly off the ground, her bright green eyes watching him carefully. "Feng, thank you—for your wisdom and your honesty. If you ever need allies, you know where to find us."
Feng smiled and went out of the bar, after he did that he went into an alleyway and then opened up a portal and immediate entered it. The portal closed behind him and he found himself in the world of Minecraft...it was still realistic.
"Dragon mounts is a very old mod...and I would have to gain an Ender Dragon egg to actually hatch a dragon...well I could just hatch the Ender Dragon in the DC world and gain an actual Ender Dragon than the dragon mounts one so the mod is kinda useless at the moment, well todays goal is getting diamonds and obsidian" As Feng said that, he equipped all his armour and immediately went into the hole he digged Some time ago.
After mining some stone and other blocks, Feng came across a cave. He did not have the Dynamic lights mod installed so he placed torched as a normal Minecraft player would do.
The soft flicker of torchlight illuminated the cavern walls, casting jagged shadows that danced across the stone. Feng moved carefully, pickaxe in hand, the faint clinking sound of stone breaking filling the otherwise silent cave. His enchanted diamond armor glimmered faintly in the light, and his sharp eyes scanned every corner, every crevice.
"Alright, Feng," he muttered to himself, "operation 'Shiny Blue Rocks' is a go."
The cave stretched deep into the earth, a sprawling labyrinth of tunnels and shadowy corners. As he navigated the uneven terrain, he spotted glimmers of redstone and gold embedded in the walls. His pickaxe made quick work of them, but he didn't slow down. No distractions—diamonds and obsidian were his prize today.
After what felt like hours of navigating deeper into the cave system, he spotted something—a faint, familiar blue glimmer reflecting in the light of his torch. Feng's lips curled into a satisfied smirk.
"Hello, gorgeous."
He moved closer, clearing away the stone surrounding the diamond ore. But as he mined the first block, he froze. Somewhere in the distance, he heard a faint hiss.
Cccssssssss…
His head snapped up, eyes scanning the shadows.
"Oh, come on…" he groaned.
A Creeper stepped out from behind a stone pillar, its pixelated face frozen in an eternal expression of… well, whatever emotion Creepers have. Its body started to swell and glow slightly.
Without hesitation, Feng sprinted backward, ducking behind a nearby rock. The explosion rang out, sending blocks scattering across the cave and leaving a fresh crater in the ground.
Feng peeked out from behind cover, coughing slightly. "Classic Minecraft experience," he muttered with a wry grin.
He returned to his diamond vein, mining each block carefully and pocketing the sparkling gems, he got five diamonds. As he stood up to move deeper, a faint purple particle drifted past his vision.
Feng froze again. "Wait… particles? Oh no."
Turning slowly, his eyes met the tall, slender figure of an Enderman. Its glowing purple eyes stared back at him, unblinking, unyielding.
"Alright, big guy, let's make a deal," Feng said, raising his hands slightly. "You don't look at me, I don't look at you. Cool?"
The Enderman let out a guttural screech.
Feng sighed. "Of course not."
The creature teleported, vanishing in a blur of purple particles. Feng spun around, just in time to block its attack with his sword. The sharp clang of metal against supernatural force echoed through the cave.
"Take this" With one more swing the Enderman finally died and with it an Ender pearl dropped.
Feng bent down and picked up the Ender Pearl, holding it up to the dim torchlight. The faint green glow pulsed softly in his palm.
"One pearl closer to an End Portal… but man, that guy was cranky," Feng muttered, slipping the pearl into his inventory. He glanced around cautiously before moving deeper into the cave.
The air grew colder as he descended, and the distant drip of water echoed through the stone tunnels. More ores dotted the walls—lapis, redstone, gold—but Feng kept his eyes peeled for his true prize: obsidian.
Eventually, the faint orange glow of lava caught his eye. He carefully approached the edge of a sprawling lava lake, the molten surface bubbling lazily. With practiced precision, he poured a bucket of water over the lava, the hiss of steam filling the cavern as obsidian formed in an instant.
"Jackpot," Feng said with a grin.
He knelt down and began mining the obsidian blocks with his newly crafted diamond pickaxe. Each block took time, but the satisfying clink of successfully harvested obsidian made it worth it.
After collecting enough for both an Enchanting Table and a Nether Portal, Feng leaned back against the stone wall and wiped imaginary sweat from his forehead. "Now it is time to start a journey to find a village"
That would mean Feng would have to travel for days...the only thing that could scare him at the moment is the eventual outcome of going insane due to being alone in an empty world filled with mindless Mobs.
