DC/Marvel: This Guy is Insane

Chapter 91: Chapter 91: Speaking Up for Robin the Clown

Gotham, shrouded in blood, gradually returned to its former tranquillity after a downpour. The citizens infected with the vampire virus, who had been greedily sucking the blood of innocent people, regained their calmness as the cold rain splashed on their faces. Rainwater flowed underground along the city's pipe system, while billowing mist emerged from the drain outlets along the streets. The fog was like a cloud, like a veil draped over the surface of the sinful city, covering up the dark crimes within the bustling steel and concrete jungle.

Bruce, who had been busy with rescue operations, stopped and kept looking at the citizens who had returned to normal. He even observed that the bite marks on their necks were healing.

"Could it be Alan?" The only thing he could think of for this sudden change was that it had been caused by Alan. Although Gotham was often cloudy, it was not the rainy season. The reason for the inexplicable heavy rain might have been the rockets that had just been dropped and exploded in the clouds.

Alan walked up to Eric, looked down at him, and said, "Don't sleep. The floor is dirty."

At this moment, Eric felt so weak that he couldn't even lift a finger.

"Oh!" Alan suddenly realised. "You must have overdrawn your kidneys. Try some of these supplements. It will benefit him and you, and we'll all be better together."

Eric was too lazy to refute. He just wanted to sleep and recover his strength. He felt like he would die if he said one more word.

"Don't be afraid. Doctor Alan is here to make sure you can be strong again." At this time, Alan had already taken out a potion and retreated several meters.

"What do you want to do?" Eric looked at Alan, who was holding a thumbs-up with one hand and aiming the medicine with the other. Sometimes, when someone gives you a thumbs-up, it doesn't mean they are praising you. They may be targeting you.

Puff!

"Ugh…"

"Oh yeah, hit."

Alan threw the potion and it hit Eric's buttocks accurately. The latter groaned and was truly caught off guard. All of a sudden, his limbs and bones seemed to be injected with adrenaline, and his whole body stood up.

Eric immediately jumped up and straightened his body.

Hah…

"I'm back to full health again!" As he spoke, hot air came out of Eric's mouth and nose.

Alan's eyes widened, his mouth shaped into a 'W' in shock. He said stubbornly, "Even though you have the racial talent, I am still slightly better."

Be strong all your life and never admit defeat.

"Well?!" Eric looked down and was a little panicked to find that a tent had been set up.

"What did you inject me with?"

"A special enhancement. You're lucky."

"…!"

You're sick! How can I face people? Eric said angrily that he had been a loner all his life, walking on thin ice, and all his friends were male. How could he solve this problem? Should he just punch a wall?

Clang…

Alan broke the glass and said, "I'm leaving first, eh ha…" The next moment, a phantom disappeared into the misty night sky.

"Don't go! What should I do? Hiss…" As soon as he took a step forward, his tight leather pants pulled at his crotch.

Holding an umbrella, he patrolled the sky over Gotham to see the Penguin and the Riddler. Their postures were quite ambiguous, like a pair of lovers, one being hugged like a princess. Inadvertently, their eyes met, then they immediately looked away. It was rumored that their relationship was unclear and that they were in a zero-one game that had broken through their friendship. These were all just rumors. They were definitely the best partners.

"I'm straight," Cobblepot said guiltily.

Edward deliberately looked down at the city and responded softly, "Me too."

Very pure and ambiguous. The atmosphere was so awkward that it seemed to be filled with the fragrance of heather.

"Why don't we find a rooftop to rest for a while?"

"As you say."

Puff…

Just as Cobblepot was about to control the umbrella to adjust its direction, a lock net swooped over from a distance. Before they could react, they were trapped. Suddenly, the rope contracted, and the two men were successfully captured.

The Batwing removed its stealth and opened its hatch. Damian sneered and said, "Where are you going to escape to?" In order to hunt them down, Damian had specially flown a fighter plane over. The stealth technology used was not some advanced black technology but a special coating that was converted into a mirror-like reflective surface through electronics. Therefore, it could only have a stealth effect at night and was a light source during the day.

Edward and Cobblepot were not panicked at all. They were the heroes who had saved Gotham City; there was no reason for Batman to arrest them.

Soon, they met on a rooftop. Bruce and his crew were waiting for Alan to show up and explain. After all, his so-called three Robins were all here.

Eh ha…

A figure swayed among the tall buildings. Then, he landed on one knee.

"A superhero is coming. Should we put it in?" Alan asked, baring his front teeth.

"So handsome."

"Comedic Bat, so cool."

"You're so handsome that I'm jealous of you."

The three Robins echoed enthusiastically.

Alan raised his hand and said modestly, "Be low-key. You have exposed the only good thing about me."

"Where is Eric?" Blade was an invited foreign aid, so Bruce was naturally very concerned about his safety.

"Sacrificed." Alan clenched his right fist and pressed it against his chest, saying, "Let's observe three minutes of silence for the heroes."

Seeing Alan closing his eyes and lowering his head, Bruce and the other two looked at each other, thought for a moment, and then chose to do the same as a sign of respect. Everyone who sacrifices in the fight against crime deserves their respect.

"What are you doing?" Within a minute, Eric arrived, wearing baggy trousers. Looking at the group of people with solemn expressions, his first reaction would probably be to mourn the innocent citizens who had died in Gotham City tonight.

"It's a ghost! Contact Constantine immediately! He's an expert in the funeral profession." Alan dodged and hid beside the three Robins, and at the same time, he untied them with his hands.

"I'm so glad you're okay." Bruce walked up to greet him awkwardly, but he couldn't tell him the truth that he was just mourning him.

"Thanks to Alan for his help." If Eric weren't dark-skinned enough, you could see his blushing face like the taillights of a car. On the way here, he had had to steal a pair of oversized jeans in order to hide his erect… little brother.

"What a sin." Alan suddenly screamed, holding Arthur's unrecognizable face in his hands. "Who is it? Who beat you like this, my Joker Robin?"

"I'm fine. I'm used to it." Arthur curled up into a ball, pretending to be aggrieved, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Don't be afraid. I will seek justice for you. We are heroes." Alan said angrily, "This is so cruel. Look, the child was beaten so badly that he doesn't even recognize his mother. What a sin! Where is conscience? Where is justice? Where is fairness…"

While Alan was complaining, Bruce and the others all looked at the person involved: Oliver. When they had arrived, they had seen Oliver riding on Arthur and beating him. From beginning to end, the Joker had never fought back.

"This… I… ah…" Oliver sighed helplessly. This time, he really couldn't explain it clearly. Who knew that the once-famous criminal would suddenly start saving the world?
