Demon Slayer: The Great Swordsman's System, Disciple of Yoriichi

Although Ubuyashiki Nozomi's appearance hadn't changed much, his entire demeanor had been transformed. It seemed his father's death had forced him to grow up in a short amount of time.

"Mr. Si Shu, are you unharmed?" Before asking about the mission, Nozomi was more concerned about Si Shu's well-being. It had to be said, this Ubuyashiki way of handling things created a natural sense of goodwill.

"I am fine. The mission is also complete." Si Shu nodded and gave him a brief summary.

"I see. For so many demons to gather in one place... It's a good thing they've been eliminated." Nozomi's face was grave; he hadn't expected the reality to be so different from the intelligence report.

"If there's nothing else, I'll go rest now."

"Of course. Please take care."

Just as Si Shu turned to leave, Nozomi suddenly called out to him. "Mr. Si Shu, have you seen Mr. Michikatsu Tsugikuni recently?"

"No. Has something happened to my Senior Uncle?" Hearing this, Si Shu realized he hadn't seen Michikatsu in a long time. The last time was around Tojuro's death. Where had he gone for so long?

As Si Shu was wondering, Nozomi handed him a piece of paper. On it was a simple hand-drawn route. Beside the route were a few scattered notes.

"The Kakushi's last sighting of Mr. Michikatsu was at this location."

"Yes, I understand. I will go find him." Instantly understanding Nozomi's meaning, Si Shu tucked the note away.

Just before closing the door, he paused. "Oyakata-sama, I am also deeply sorry for your father's passing. But no matter what, please stay strong. The entire Demon Slayer Corps is waiting for your leadership."

With that, Si Shu gently closed the door.

For a moment, Nozomi was stunned, his eyes quickly turning red. A few seconds later, understanding Si Shu's words, the emotions Ubuyashiki Nozomi had long suppressed burst forth. Facing the direction Si Shu had left, he performed a deep, formal kneeling bow.

"Thank you... for your concern."

Tears and snot mixed together as his feelings finally found an outlet. Expelling all his regret, sorrow, and pain, he wiped his tears, and his expression became resolute once more.

In that moment, he truly transformed from a son into a leader.

After leaving the estate, Si Shu first discussed the matter with Yoriichi. Yoriichi showed little opposition to searching for his brother. Of course, he showed little support either. "If you want to go, then go. Perhaps you can help my brother see reason." In essence, Yoriichi hoped Si Shu could persuade Michikatsu to return.

Si Shu felt this task was fundamentally impossible. Persuading the man who was single-mindedly obsessed with surpassing Yoriichi to give up that obsession... it would be easier if the two brothers had never existed in the first place. Otherwise, Michikatsu would spend his entire life aiming to surpass Yoriichi, by any means necessary.

After a few days of travel, Si Shu arrived at the location marked on the note one evening. It was an extremely prosperous town, with a thriving economy. Stalls lined both sides of the road, with merchants hawking their wares. The buildings were mostly two or three stories tall, and the people passing by wore all sorts of fine clothes.

Following the notes on the paper, Si Shu arrived at Michikatsu's last known location.

A brothel.

Upon discovering his final destination was a brothel, even the stoic Si Shu was dumbfounded. He couldn't imagine Michikatsu, a man as still and lifeless as stagnant water, would voluntarily come to such a place.

"Little brother, this isn't a place for you," a gaudily dressed, scantily clad woman said kindly upon seeing him standing at the door. "If you really want to come, wait a few more years. Big sister will be waiting for you~" She even threw him a wink.

It should have been an incredibly seductive gesture, but coming from a woman who weighed over 200 pounds and looked like a chimpanzee, the effect was the exact opposite. With his excellent eyesight, Si Shu could even see the various pimple scars and freckles beneath her thick layer of makeup. A wave of nausea rolled up from his stomach, and he felt he couldn't hold it back.

Waving his hands frantically, Si Shu fled like a rabbit whose tail was on fire. Finding an empty corner, he vomited profusely before feeling a bit better. He could face demons and powerful enemies without batting an eye, but the thought of that earlier scene sent a chill down his spine. Nope, nope, nope. That kind of woman is too much to handle.

Just as Si Shu was silently praying never to encounter that woman again, a figure suddenly appeared from around the corner ahead. She had a delicate face, rosy lips, and a head of long, soft black hair. Her figure was curvaceous, exuding an alluring charm. Any normal man would have been instantly captivated.

Of course, Si Shu was captivated too. But what attracted him wasn't her figure or her beauty.

It was her identity.

Relying on his memories from his past life, he recognized at a glance that this person was not human. It was the Demon Progenitor in his female form, the source of all chaos.

Muzan Kibutsuji!

What is he doing here?! His right hand instinctively went to his Nichirin Blade, his mind racing, trying to figure out why Muzan would appear here. Was it a chance encounter? Or a calculated appearance? Who was the target? Michikatsu, himself, or someone else?

After some thought, Si Shu released his grip on his sword. He didn't know Muzan's reason for being here, but from the situation, he wasn't hunting. If Muzan wanted to eat, the man next to him would have been out of luck.

Follow him quietly. Don't draw your sword.

Deciding to tail Muzan and investigate his purpose, Si Shu followed at a slow pace. The further he followed, the more he felt something was off. He felt like he had walked this path before.

Finally, Muzan and the man entered a shop. Standing by the entrance, Si Shu was dumbfounded.

It was the same brothel from before!

At that moment, Si Shu was completely lost. First, the intelligence said Michikatsu was here. Now, Muzan Kibutsuji in his female form had gone inside. These two beings, who were practically emotionless towards humans, needed to come to a place like this?

Just as Si Shu was considering whether he should find a way to sneak in, a voice came from beside him.

"Little brother, why are you here again?"
