Chapter 229: Two different fights.
"What's the meaning of this?! Aren't you going to banish her from Earth?!" Nyx asked after she saw Michael coming back. "What do you mean you're going to let her join the war?!" Nyx looked at Michael looked at the Archangels in disbelief.
"What's the issue here? As someone who used to rule over the Earth, I have the responsibility to protect it," Nal asked back as she stood up and looked at Nyx. "Do you think you're the only one who has that kind of excuse?" Nal smirked and chuckled.
Nyx gritted her teeth and she couldn't respond to Nal's question since she had no other reason to banish Nal. She knew that Nal had something that was enough to convince the Angels to let her stay, ad that reason was something she wanted to know as well.
"Silence! The Lord has given his permission to let Nal stay and help us. Your words mean nothing to us and if you have an issue with that, you can leave Earth," Michael said as he looked at Nyx.
Nal blatantly mocked Nyx by chuckling at her and casually stood among the Archangels.
"Which one do you want to deal with first? Mykel or Lucifer?" Nal asked as she looked at Michael.
Michael couldn't sense where Mykel or Lucifer was, and he couldn't find Uriel anywhere as well. Since it would be impossible for him to find them, he preferred to face the ones that he could find.
"We will fight Mykel's creations first. We will make them cease to exist," Michael answered as he spread his wings.
Michael and the army of Angels flew to the United States and were followed by Nal and all the beings on Earth. Some of them used to be scared of Mykel and his team, but since the Archangels were with them they had nothing to worry about.
When they were about to enter the continent, a barrier stopped them from entering. It was Beldathiel's [Inertia] skill and the barrier was more potent than the one that Uriel broke. They had a hard time breaking it, even Michael's sword was unable to break it, only made a crack that regenerated immediately.
"By The Lord's will..." Michael said as he raised his sword and the tip of the blade started to glow brightly. "I will clear the path in his name!" Michael swung his sword and the moment his sword hit the barrier, it created a massive shockwave that created tsunamis that would swallow the other continents later.
Beldathiel suddenly threw up blood and her whole body started to shatter like a porcelain with blood gushing out. Amaryllis immediately helped her heal the wound, and before she could heal Beldathiel completely, an invisible presence force was approaching them. Suddenly the ground was scooped out like an ice cream by something invisible, but before the force could hit them, Jeanne walked toward where it was coming and swung her sword. Stay tuned for updates on empire
The sound of her blade clanking as if it made contact with someone sturdy and made of metal could be heard. The invisible force turned out to be a giant scythe blade as big as a mountain that tried to strike them.
"They're indeed a threat," Azrael said as she looked down with the scythe in her hand. "I never thought Jeanne could make my scythe tremble even though I didn't use it directly," Azrael added and tried to stop the scythe from trembling as if she exchanged blows with Jeanne.
Ramiel spread his wings and the feathers started to raise and pointed at Jeanne and the others. His wings trembled but rays of light were shot down toward them and it was more powerful and hotter than the sun. The beams were enough to disintegrate anything, but when he thought it would be enough, the beams were being sucked by Glasya.
Another Archangel was dumbfounded by the power of Mykel's creations, and no matter how many times he tried to repeat the attack, he couldn't harm them. The Gods and the other beings who watched those powerful attacks got repelled and blocked so easily. If Archangels weren't enough to stop them, then they wondered if The Lord would be the only one who could stop them.
"It has been a while since you hold that thing, Beldathiel," Luciel said as she looked at Beldathiel's dice that floated above Beldathiel's left hand.
"Honestly, I have a hunch that this thing isn't just Mykel's creation. I want to check if this thing is made or given by someone from this world," Beldathiel answered. "Also, there are too many enemies for us to handle, so I'll try and get rid of the weak ones," Beldathiel added.
Beldathiel looked at the dice and said the ritual before she threw it to the ground. The number was four and in an instant, hundreds of Gods collapsed and fell lifeless. There were a few Cosmical beings that got affected by the power of the dice and died on the spot.
"That dice..." Gabriel squinted his eyes and looked at Beldathiel holding the dice. "Cassiel, I need you to take it back. It's one of the missing wills of The Lord," Gabriel explained.
Cassiel nodded with his arms crossed and looked at the dice without showing any expression. Although he seemed to not move a muscle, that was only his afterimage because the real him was already in front of Beldathiel.
Beldathiel looked at Cassiel who was about to grab the dice from her hand, and she immediately activated her [Inertia] skill again. To her surprise, Cassiel was able to move freely as if he wasn't affected by the skill at all. It was the first one and might be the only one who could do something like that under her power.
Cassiel had grabbed the dice, but suddenly his hand was cut off without him knowing. He was confused, but then his head fell off which shocked him because he had no idea what had happened.
"Bolt of you to think you can approach us and can easily leave," Bhatmelec said as she sheathed her sword. "You're not the only one who can move from time to space. I can move from the future to the present," Bhatmelec added as she looked down at Cassiel's head who was still in disbelief.
That made all the Archangels freeze and be shocked because Cassiel was supposed to be the fastest being that The Lord created. Nobody could outmatch him no matter what happened since his speed was The Lord's will.
"Looks like they know something about that dice. You might be right about it, Belda," Amaryllis said as she looked at the dice. "The missing will. That's really an interesting concept," Amaryllis added.
"You did your job, you should hide that dice from them. Who knows what will they do if they took that from you," Aurea suggested.
Beldathiel hummed and hid the dice in the subspace inside the novel world. She finally got useful information about the dice, and that might help Mykel later on.
When they were busy talking about the dice, Cassiel disappeared from their sight. He came back without them noticing, and he seemed furious about what they did to him.
"Anyway, looks like they're going to take this seriously now. I'm going to let you guys handle everything, and there's nothing to be worried about because I'll protect Amy," Elena said as she walked to the back with Amaryllis. "I don't know where Mykel went, but if he was in a hurry, he might found something interesting. He's fighting his own battle as always, so just focus on your own battle as well," Elena added as she sat at the table.
All of them nodded with understanding and pulled out their weapons as their eyes focused on the enemies in the sky.
(In Antarctica)
Mykel was walking in the middle of a heavy blizzard, and he could barely see anything in front of him. He kept walking casually until suddenly he reached the eye of the storm, and that was when he noticed Lucifer and the Princes of Hell, standing in front of Uriel, Sasha, and Mara.
All of them glanced at Mykel and realized he came on his own with nothing but his suit. They noticed the tattoos on his body had disappeared and it was a sign that he had taken more than his body could take.
"How brave of you to come here on your own, Mykel Alester," Lucifer said as he slowly showed off his third eye to Mykel.
Mykel stared at Lucifer's third eye and it was the feeling he felt when he came back to Earth. The familiar aura when he combined all the emotions and turned it into his [Supremacy] skill. He knew that Lucifer wasn't the same Lucifer from before, but he could also tell that Lucifer didn't possess the same power as him.
"Brave? Brave is when you're scared but you keep moving forward with fear inside you," Mykel paused as he put a cigarette in his mouth. "But for me, I have no fear," Mykel continued and lit the cigarette.
