Chapter 231: On the list.
Michael and Archangels looked at Satan and the others who had regained half of their former bodies. They knew how strong the Princes of Hell had become and the other fallen angels, and knowing the situation, they wondered which one they should deal with first.
Michael looked at Uriel who stood next to Sasha, and he was confused as to what he should feel about her. If what she did was under The Lord's order, she should be on his side with the Gods, but he and the other Archangels wondered why Lucifer was given the World Egg.
They knew Lucifer had become a being that was above them, and it would be hard to deal with him. He was glad that the Gods had joined his side, but that wouldn't be enough because he would need every god in the whole universe to join him.
Nal and Nyx looked at both Mykel's team and Lucifer's team who stood across from each other. They had the same thought as Michael that they wouldn't be able to handle Lucifer with only that many Gods. Not to mention they had to deal with both Mykel and Lucifer and it would be impossible.
"Bring them here," Raphael said as he looked over his shoulder to look at Nyx and Nal.
Nal and Nyx raised their eyebrows and looked at Raphael in disbelief even though they knew what he meant by that.
"The Lord has given them permission. Bring them down here, and they won't be the only ones who will come," Raphael pointed out. "I will only ask you both once. Call them," Raphael said.
Nal and Nyx looked up and spoke to their husbands who weren't allowed to touch their feet on Earth. Their existences were beyond common sense even in the eyes of Gods, and they knew how bad it would be if those two stood next to each other.
It was the same as back then, the complete darkness covered the sky and not a single light could be seen. Nobody could see a thing, but the ground trembled and crumbled and they all had to float above the ground if they didn't want to fall into somewhere they didn't want to be.
Uriel created a small sun and lit up the Earth so everyone could see. Mykel was curious about what Erebus and Farbauti looked like, and he never thought they were somehow humble in their appearance.
A man in his early thirties with long light blonde hair stood next to Nyx with his simple white and brown robe of an ancient Greek. He only had a gold necklace and he looked gentle even though he was supposed to be the embodiment of darkness itself. He was gently smiling at Nyx and didn't hesitate to wrap his right arm around Nyx's waist and kiss her forehead.
Farbauti had his long dark brown braided hair, and he showed his ripped muscles than any Gods around him. He didn't wear clothes, only a man's skirt, gauntlets, and greaves up to his thighs. He was the most feared God, and yet his face looked gentle and didn't ooze any ominous aura like Erebus.
Everyone was scared to be in the same spot as Farbauti and Erebus because they both had been glancing at each other maliciously. Who knew what would happen, but thanks to Nyx and Nal to be there in between those two, they didn't make a move.
When they thought it was over, another being landed in the middle and he had the most grandiose entrance. The Earth was cracked once more because of him, and he also had the same humble appearance, only a white clean robe with a crown on his head. He was the same age as Farbauti and Erebus, but his presence overwhelmed those two because he held a wooden staff that looked like a normal staff.
"The Great Vanguard," Mykel said as he looked at the three of them. Experience new stories with My Virtual Library Empire
"The Great Vanguard?" Elena asked as she looked at Mykel with her eyebrows furrowed.
"The beings who control the Gods in the whole universe, they're the ones who stood equally with the Archangels. They were the protector and the destroyer of Gods, and that's their role given by The Lord," Mykel answered after he read their thoughts. "Rod the Wise, Erebus the Darkness, and Farbauti the Destruction. The Great Vanguard and the three wills of The Lord," Mykel added.
"How strong they're in comparison to the Archangels?" Aurea asked.
"Michael is the strongest The Lord's creation, those three are on par with him. Nobody actually knows how strong those three can become as long as The Lord's will it, they can outmatch everyone," Mykel answered. "Now The Lord has decided to get involved, they might be strong enough to fight Lucifer in his current state," Mykel continued.
"Be cautious of every move you're going to make. This is no longer a playground," Mykel said as he walked to the back to avoid fighting.
All of them nodded as Elena followed him from behind because she had a better job to do. Her only purpose was to protect Mykel no matter what happened because deep down she felt like she was going to lose him.
"Are you running away, Mykel?" Lucifer asked.
"This is just the beginning. My time isn't worth fighting these people. I'll just watch and deal with who's left," Mykel answered as he kept walking. "I don't mind if you want to fight me again, but you're still too weak to fight me, so I'm giving you time to get stronger," Mykel said.
Michael and Sasha looked at Mykel and then looked at Lucifer with hostile eyes. Those words were enough to move those two to focus on Lucifer because they knew Mykel wasn't wrong about it. Cutting the growing sprout is easier than cutting a fully grown tree.
"How cunning," Nal giggled as she looked at Mykel.
"You have been paying attention to him a lot, and I have never seen you so attracted to someone. Is he really that interesting?" Farbauti asked in his low voice.
"Yes, and I owe him," Nal answered.
"You owe him? That sounds unbelievable," Farbauti said as he looked at Mykel lit his cigarette and he sat down at the table at the altar.
"Shh... There are ears that trying to listen to our conversation, darling," Nal giggled as she glanced at Nyx and Erebus.
Erebus and Nyx were indeed eavesdropping on their conversation and they wanted to know what she owed Mykel. Nal never had a debt to anyone, and she was the only being who could create her own path with only her words and brain.
"Lucifer, your time is up. You have gone too far, and I will beg The Lord to give you a punishment once I defeated you," Michael said as he pointed his sword at Lucifer.
Lucifer showed his third eye to everyone, and it was enough to put everyone in fear. Jeanne and the others could see their hearts skip a beat when that eye opened up on his forehead. It was so ominous that Mykel was disturbed by it when he felt it before he met Lucifer in Antarctica.
"What did you say? I can't hear you so say it again," Lucifer asked as he spread his wings, and that put everyone under the pressure of his existence.
"Uriel, what have you done?" Raphael asked as he glared at Uriel.
"My action and everything that I have done is solemnly for The Lord. Everything that happened and what will happen, it's all for him and him only," Uriel answered with a serious expression. "With that being said. I'm not your ally, and you can decide whether I'm your enemy or not," Uriel added.
Sasha pressed her chest and that made Michael and the others who knew about the Caveat Scroll look at her. They wondered if she would use that power because if so, she would be invincible and she wouldn't be on their sides either.
The moment Sasha closed her eyes, Lucifer already made a move since he already knew that she was going to open the scroll within her body. Before he could touch her, a Void Cloud blocked his path, and that was enough to stop Lucifer. She then controlled the cloud and slammed it to the ground with Lucifer inside.
Everyone was speechless that there was someone powerful enough to stop Lucifer in that state. That was when Nal was convinced that Mara was indeed a dangerous being that shouldn't exist.
"You must have forgotten, Lucifer. I do loathe Mykel, but you're also on the list," Mara said as she looked at Lucifer getting up from the humiliation. "Neither of you can get whatever you want as long as I'm alive," Mara added.
