Destroying My Own World

Chapter 232: Same but different.

"I'm flattered to hear that, but let's stop this meaningless conversation. I'm here not to talk, I'm here to get either her, or you, Raphael," Lucifer said as he looked at Raphael with a smirk. "I might not be able to take the light from her, but you, you're an easier target. Since I initiated the first attack, allow me to bring my own army," Lucifer added as he snapped his fingers and thousands of portals appeared right behind the Princes and Dukes of Hell.

Army of Demons came out of the portals and their numbers were a lot more than Michael and the others expected. Millions of demons showered their fangs, claws, and black wings to the Angels, hissing at them and glaring at them with hatred.

The demons didn't hesitate to make the first move and went straight to fight the Angels and the Gods. Although they were weaker, their numbers overwhelmed them and it wasn't something they could discard and ignore. Not to mention the Dukes and the ranked demons were commanding them, and they were a lot stronger than the Gods of Earth.

Michael was about to fight Lucifer with his brothers and sisters, but then Satan and the five Princes of Hell blocked his path. Since Uriel wasn't a part of the army of Angels, they didn't have enough strength to deal with them and Lucifer.

"Farbauti, Erebus, Rod, I need you to deal with Lucifer. We will join you as soon as we are done dealing with our fallen brothers and sisters," Michael said as he looked at those three.

Those three stared at Lucifer with cold gazes, and since they were given permission from Michael, they had no reason to hold back. Erebus was the first one who moved to the front, and then Farbauti looked at him with curiosity.

Erebus grasped the air, and the darkness that covered Earth suddenly disappeared and gathered into a small ball in front of him. The ball of absolute darkness floated in front of him, and then suddenly it covered all over his body and that was when he showed his true power. A being that had barely been exposed to light as darkness as his source of power.

Farbauti and Rod had never talked about Erebus's power and how strong it was. They both speculated that the darkness in space was because of him and that if he took that darkness from space, the universe would suffer from the brightness of The Lord's light.

"I'm not stupid enough to go fight him on my own. Are you going to prepare as well or are you going to watch on the side like your mistress over there?" Erebus asked as the darkness had devoured his body and face completely.

Farbauti closed his eyes and the moment he took his first step, the Earth couldn't bear his weight and strength. The Earth was pushed down because of his step, and so Rod stabbed his staff into the ground and fortified the rings, layers, and crusts of Earth underneath to prevent them from getting destroyed.

"I will help you from down here," Rod said as he put his hands behind his back.

Farbauti and Erebus glanced at each other and then dashed forward to fight Lucifer. The first one who threw an attack was Farbauti, a punch toward Lucifer's face. For him, his fist looked normal, but for those who stood in front of him, his fist looked like a giant sun.

Lucifer wanted to test Farbauti's strength and took the hit in the face. It hurt, but only for a moment, and he was more surprised that the ground was unaffected by the impact and the pressure. He then punched Farbauti back which was impossible to dodge right on his chest.

"That tickles," Farbauti said as he looked at his chest. "Can you do better?" Farbauti asked.

"Are you sure about that?" Lucifer asked as his hand kept pressing Farbauti's chest.

Farbauti suddenly lost power over his body, and suddenly his back exploded and the shockwave pushed everyone away. That shocked Erebus and Rod because they knew that Farbauti's existence was as big as the universe itself, like a beast trapped inside a cage. He shouldn't be able to get hurt from a mere punch no matter how powerful it was.

"You're not in my league," Lucifer said as he grabbed Farbauti's face and slammed it to the ground.

The ground was fine, but it trembled and it slowly made Rod's staff crack. The moment Rod grabbed his staff to prevent it from getting destroyed, the whole Earth was shattered into pieces. He immediately put his hand on the ground and tried to fix the damage with his magic.

Lucifer glanced to his left and saw Erebus fly toward him and pass through his body. He raised his eyebrows as he turned around and saw Erebus' darkness was being consumed by light.

"That's really stupid of you to think by filling my body with darkness would affect me," Lucifer said as he pointed his hand at Erebus. "I'm Sempiternal, an undying light even before I was punished by The Lord. I was turned into ashes, but I have been reborn from the same ashes and light," Lucifer added and a beam was shot from his palm right into Erebus' body.

The darkness that covered Erebus slowly faded away as if he had lost his power. Lucifer didn't know much about Erebus, Farbauti, or Rod, but his third eye made him see everything.

"Now, are you going to join them as well?" Lucifer asked as he looked at Rod with his third eye.

Rod hesitated to make a move, but then suddenly he showed his warm smile that annoyed Lucifer. The same warm smile that was filled with purity and kindness that he despised the most.

"Join us where?" Farbauti asked as he stood up with the wound completely healed. "It's not that easy to kill us. You need to do something more than that. Or should I say that we can only die in the hand of The Lord," Farbauti said as he stood tall and looked at Lucifer with the darkness that oozed behind him.

"Now this is getting interesting," Lucifer said as he watched Farbauti get devoured by darkness to amplify his power. "Who would have thought you two would work together," Lucifer chuckled.

The ominous aura gave everyone chills down their spines and wondered what it was. They all then looked at Farbauti becoming one with Erebus and that was the most terrifying thing they could imagine.

"Why he would do something like that..." Nyx was displeased when she looked at those two.

"Do you think you're the one who hates to see it? To think he would stupidly agree to it makes me sick in the stomach," Nal said and looked at Farbauti in disappointment. "It doesn't matter anymore. I would rather go and find a shelter," Nal said as she walked away from the battle against the demons.

"You?!" Nyx was irritated but then when she looked at where Nal was going, she was more surprised and enraged her. "You..." Nyx gritted her teeth as Nal casually walked toward Elena and waved her hand.

Mykel and Elena were watching the fight between Lucifer with Farbauti and Erebus. They were already out of the league and had their own world. Whoever got too close to them died before they even knew it.

"That third eye of his. We need to get rid of that thing first," Nal said as she joined in and sat at the table. "Also, Thanks for letting me sit here with you guys," Nal looked at Lyneth and Amaryllis who were sitting next to her.

"You can't get rid of it. You can say that's literally The Lord's eye or something that's equal to it. He's basically creating a clone of The Lord with his own body," Mykel answered as he looked at Lucifer.

"Aren't you the same?" Nal tilted her head and looked at Mykel.

"You can say that he possesses the physical body of The Lord while I'm possessing his emotion and perhaps slowly turning my soul into his," Mykel answered.

"How's that possible even though you both used the same method?" Nal asked with curiosity.

"Is it really the same method? It took me a very long time to achieve this. He knew that he couldn't get the power that The Lord possesses so he turned his body and made it like The Lord's. You can say that he's lacking The Lord's light which is inside Raphael and Sasha, and used a different method," Mykel answered.

"So if you both work together you two can kill him?" Nal asked with her eyebrows raised.

Elena was about to answer that question, but Mykel's silence made her realize something. She remembered what Mykel had said earlier that Lucifer was still too weak for him. She then thought what if Mykel was trying to make Lucifer strong so they both could work together to kill The Lord.

"Don't be silly," Mykel put his hand on top of Elena's head. "I don't need his help to achieve our goal. I can promise you that, but there's something that I do need from him," Mykel said with a smile.

"And what's that?" Elena asked with her eyes squinted.

"It's my grand scheme, so it's a secret," Mykel put his index finger on his lips.
